I finally heard back on 12/13. They offered me two free spray tans instead of a refund. I won't be going back. They didn't have adequate supplies (booties to stand on, alcohol wipes, etc), can't trust the spray tan results, and because I got ringworm from the towel... no, thank you. I wish they'd just give me the refund. Giving more tans to a place I don't want to return to is pointless. read more

I just want to say don't waste your money or time. Came here yesterday to try this place out for the first time I'm not new to spray tans, so I kind of knew what I wanted. I asked the receptionist which one will get me 3 to 4 shades darker, and she recommended the bronze, however the difference is barely one shade darker if even that. I specifically asked her so many times to make sure I didn't waste my time yet when this fully developed I was extremely disappointed. Such a waste of money. read more

I have been here three times, including the time I signed up. All the girls have been very nice and super helpful. I signed up for the 30 day pass for the medium level, and I am totally satisfied. I can get in and out in less than 20 minutes normally (with no wait and 30 if there is someone in the 'bed'), which is great because I tend to come on a break from work. I use the stand-up bed and I am seeing great results already. I would highly recommend this tanning location if you are local to the Yorba Linda/Placentia area. read more

I enjoy coming to Sun Studio to get my tan on. The girls here are educated on helping you get that perfect tan you're looking for for that special occasion. There is something there for everyone, mystic tanning, stand up tanning, low, mid, and high pressures as well as a red light therapy bed, which has so many amazing benefits. The salon offers appointments which comes in handy, especially during busy season. They sanitize each bed and provide you with goggles which is another plus. I remember when there used to be tanning salons in every shopping center, and were a dime a dozen. Nowadays there are only a hand few, and don't even get me started on tanning beds in gyms.... how often do they change their bulbs and sanitize their beds, never. I just started using the salon about a month ago and I'm so happy that I did. I have had a few issues with tanning salons in the past but this one has been the best so far. The salon is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the beds are amazing. I like that every month there are package deals and promotions with great prices! I have only gone there for about a month but just these past four weeks I feel very comfortable at the salon and see myself being a member here for a long time. read more

An update to my previous post.. The Placentia location is NOW OPEN. Come one, come all. While the backstory is not a good read, the owner called me and could not have been more candid. The new lease space, the contractor issues, electrical situations and many others all out of her hands. She was careful not to involve her staff to try and explain all this to customers. In hindsight she alone was the only person who could have effectively shared these stories. I am fully on board and behind this Tanning Studio. Clean, a variety of beds, various packages and weekly/monthly specials. The staff are always cheerful. As a new customer there I was less than impressed. Called two days in advance to make an appointment for a spray tan because I was going on vacation and wanted to make sure I got in. The girl who answered the phone sounded like I woke her up. I asked for the last appointment of the day on Saturday and she said it was 3:30. I said great I'll take it. She asked my first and last name and confirmed the time. I show up on Saturday about 3:20 and give my name and to my surprise she tells me she doesn't see me down for an appointment and she's booked for the rest of the day and I can't tan. What!? She tells me she's not the one who messed up the appointment blah blah blah . So after some argument and back and forth she finally agrees to let me tan. Too bad because I was looking for a new place to tan, I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I like this place because it's not cookie cutter crazy chain "membership/ contract only" tanning salon where they won't let you relax! I am always anxious when trying out a new place because honestly, I don't want to be SOLD. I came in, said what I wanted and was able to purchase it without disgusting, high pressure sales like pretty much every other salon. I've been going here for a few months now and i love it. All of the employees are very knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. I am always greeted with a smile and excellent service. They have a great selection of tanning beds to choose from as well as a few other neat contraptions like their hydration station, which can prepare and prolong your tan. Was tanning here for a couple years. The beds are great! (Mid and high pressure. Never tried the low pressure.) Girls have come and gone, and some of the girls were knowledgeable and really helpful and some had no idea what they were doing. The prices aren't bad but they did go up a couple times and there deals have changed a few times. I took a couple months break after my 1 year membership expired and I was charged for 2 months after I was told my account was removed. I was reimbursed once and the second time they wouldn't get back to me so I went through my bank. I had my account put on hold for 3 months; there is a $5 hold charge. However I was charged the regular price for 3 months. On the third month, I even reminded them to confirm my account was on hold, and I got a confirmation that only the $5 hold charge would be charged, and the very next day I was charged the regular monthly payment. 1 out of the 3 charges I had to go through my bank again. I emailed them 4 times, called twice and was told the manager wasn't there and that they couldn't help me cause they don't take care of the emails or billing ad would have the manager call me. Never heard from the manager. The third time I called, I assume it was the manager who picked up..but when I told her what was going on, her response was "ok..so do you want to cancel? refund? or what?" And was told that the "billing system was messed up". I have been told that the past 5 times they charged me wrong. Also was told that the reason why I wasn't getting a reply back via email is cause the girl who does the email is on vacation...(it had been nearly 2 weeks) I cancelled and was told I would get a refund. Took a while but I got my refund. They require 30 days notice for any cancellation or hold on the account...however the lady on the phone told me she would cancel it and I didn't have to send a written request. I emailed a written request anyways notifying of the cancellation and it being approved over the phone. A week or so later I got a reply saying my notice was not with in 30 days so it cant be cancelled. Then shortly after I got another email saying she spoke to the manager and my account will be cancelled. I highly doubt it has been, and will probably be wrongfully charged for the 6th time. read more

I have been to a bunch of different tanning salons in the pass, but this is by far the NICEST tanning salon I have been to. My sister and I came across this salon on Groupon and decided to give it a try. I AM SO GLAD WE DID. The girl at the front desk was so nice, helpful, and professional. The salon was so clean. We'd never done a Mystic Tan before, so we we're little worried about being orange. Our tans are perfectly brown! So excited! Definitely signing up for their membership! read more

I have visited this tanning salon several times throughout the last few years both locations are clean and girls are nice unfortunately the last time I purchased a spray tan about a week ago I left feeling as if I had gotten no color but I am aware that it takes up to 12 hours to process so I waited until the next day and received no color I mediately called the salon and informed the girl working that I had no color from the spray tan and offered to stop by and show her so that I could get a credit on my account for the spray she said no that's fine I will let the manager know and they will just add another tan on your account. Well a week later after following up the nice manager summer declined giving me a tan even though I felt I took all steps appropriate to prove I had received no color if this tanning salon can afford to lose business because of poor customer service keep it up! I managed Sundance tanning in orange for 10 years this is horrible practice for a manager. Good luck guys I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

I wouldn't sign up for a long term contract with these people. It was a nightmare trying to get out of it and they even charged me for the month after I canceled and wouldn't refund it. I am fighting the charge with my credit card company. All I got from them was an email saying "We have nothing more to speak about" They're just disreputable and I will never do business with them again. read more

In the past year or so, I've been to this location for regular tanning bed sessions plus 2 different spray tan sessions for special events (Marine Corps Ball and when I was the MOH in my friend's wedding). The facility is kept in order, is very clean, and easily accessible. The staff is equally nice! They're all very friendly and knowledgeable. Both of my spray tans came out AMAZING! This was my first time getting a spray tan; I hadn't gotten one before because I was so afraid of turning orange. She is extremely personable and will custom your tan to your event and schedule. She gave me a mix that wouldn't make me appear orange for school the next day. She is genuinely sweet and asked me about my life during the process so it wasn't uncomfortable being undressed. the tan was PERFECT exactly what I wanted-just a nice glow. for prom Initially people didn't think i got a spray because it looked so natural & got so many compliments! Signed up for a one month pass... One of the days the beds were unavailable because the air conditioning wasn't working and the last time I tanned there, I noticed my eye started itching after I wore the goggles and now I have an eye infection! VERY displeased with their services. I would come in SEVERAL times to get information about my membership, but the employees were always unhelpful and uninformed about memberships. THEIR BILLING CYCLE IS SUCH A PAIN. It cost me money and a lot of trouble to fix mistakes on my account. Manager was difficult to contact with these problems. This was my first tanning membership, and I'm afraid to say that their lack of easy use turned me off to tanning for good. read more
