I have never written a review but today's experience with the tanning salon pissed me off. Horrible customer service !!!! Prior to me leaving my I called the location to confirm they were open as it had been closed earlier in the day. The lady informed me that the doors will lock at 5:45 and I asked if I'm there before 545 could I get a bed. She clearly said yes, I commented I am five minutes away. I proceeded to tell her that I came by earlier and that the doors were locked, and she informed me that an employee had forgot their shift. I told her I will be there shortly and ended the phone call. So, I drove over there only to find When I arrived at 5:42 PM, just 18 minutes before closing, the doors were locked, despite it being well before closing time or 5:45 when I was told the doors would lock. I can't confirm one way or the other, but I'm pretty sure after the phone call ended the Individual stood up and locked the doors, knowing that I would be showing up and they clearly did not want to deal with it. I noticed that I was not the only one waiting outside; another gentleman was also trying to enter. we both tried calling the salon as the open sign was one and it was still before 5:45. we could hear the phone ringing inside, which suggests that calls were being ignored By the employee. I hope you can address this issue to ensure better experiences for your customers in the future read more

I was going here for quite some time and decided to try a spray tan for the first time. NEVER AGAIN ! I asked all the right questions, knew what I had to do and what I could not do but the spray tan started fading in spots within a day. I literally look like I have Vitiligo. Where have all the tanning "bed" salons gone? I used to be a regular tanner and took a lengthy hiatus and now find that these salons aren't as common as they used to be. That being said... I managed to find this gem and although I haven't tanned there as of yet, I was so impressed by my phone call and the young lady that I spoke with that I had to leave this review. I called to get information on the types of beds they use as I'm going to start tanning again for a mild skin condition on my face. Kimani was EXTREMELY helpful and so incredibly knowledgeable about the beds they have and the features and benefits each bed has. Because of Kimani, I have not only decided to absolutely use this salon for their Velocity bed, but also decided to only visit when Kimani is working. She is incredibly sweet, knowledgable and professional. An enormous thank you to Kimani!! She is quite an asset to this salon... THANK YOU!! read more

DONT GO HERE FOR SPRAY TANS. I went back to get my spray tan fixed because it was patchy and blotchy on my entire body. The employee told me that she would try to fix it but she had to "try and re tape the machine" huge red flag!!!!!! She said she's been asking her boss to get a new machine but hasn't done it yet. Tried it out for the first time last night and the girl at the front was super friendly and knowledgeable. I bought the two weeks unlimited and a lotion, the price wasn't bad at all. She recommended a specific amount of time so I wouldn't burn and it definitely helped. I am pretty frustrated as I rushed to get here before closing time at 9 pm, (it is 8:40), and they are already closed and all locked up. I would understand if they were here, and the beds were taken and they couldn't accommodate me, but to close 20 minutes(probably earlier than that, because the lights are out and there is no sign of anybody) is not very professional. Super disappointed. I have a month pass here, so I am kind of stuck using them for a month, but I won't be back after that. I am changing my review due to the fact that the owner called and sincerely apologized and made things right. I really appreciate that. Mistakes and bad decisions happen, but if you try your best to make it right, that is all that matters. read more

I went in on a whim today. The gal at the front desk was super sweet and patient with me. She explained all the different types of spray tan options and ultimately I decided to go with the airbrush one. I was a bit reluctant at first but she made me feel super comfortable. I have not been in a tanning bed since high school (literally 1987)... I had a lot of questions and they answered every one of them. The staff was very friendly and professional and I appreciated that. The prices are clearly displayed and they truly have a plan that will fit everybody's needs. I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and just wanted to get a little bit of color so I bought the two-week pass. They didn't try to upsell me a bunch of products I did not need nor did they try to get me to join for months on end. I love great customer service and honest business practices. Great tanning salon. Clean. Quality beds. Friendly staff. I've been to probably 20 plus tanning salons in my life and sadly like your maid, they start off good then start to lack-not repairing beds or being cheap and not turning over to new bulbs as often as they should. This leads to many closing after only a short time. THIS PLACE DOES EVERYTHING RIGHT!!! Because of this, you can achieve a beautiful tan in 1/2 the time. And it lasts. I'm sure this is more expensive and time consuming to do as a business but we as customers see a difference and we (I) truly appreciate it. Keep up the good work staff! read more

Signed up with copper tan when i started working in yorba linda. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable and straight forward. Awesome guy! All the girls have been dolls! I just wish they had a location in Newport beach too for days I'm off. We have crummy rockstar tan and palm beach tan which is the worst. I went to this tanning salon for a few months and then decided to change salons immediately. The reason I changed salons is a couple times I forgot to put the goggles back by accident and one of the girls in the front mentioned it to me. I had them in my bag and apologized for taking them and handed them right back to her. When I did that she proceeded to laugh at me take a picture and call her friend and say "guess what this girl did!" .... Right in front of me. It was very embarrassing and beyond unprofessional. I was shocked that someone who works at a business would humiliate one of their customers just because of an accident. The moment that happened to me I immediately canceled my membership the same day. The salon was cute, clean and the beds were what you would expect from any salon. The employees were the reason I will never return. I really hope that no other customers felt the way I did. It was completely unnecessary to embarrass me like that over an honest accident. She obviously was very Immature and completely oblivious to her actions. I never received an apology when I expressed my feelings about her actions. She just continued to talk to her friend and blast me when I was walking in the hallway to the bed and continued to do it when I left the salon. That was absolutely ridiculous. I forgot what the girls name was but that behavior is completely unacceptable. I will never return. read more

I used to have a regular tanning membership but just wanted one quick spray and tried Coppertan. Unfortunately, it was really bad. The machine was extremely old and not clean. I stood in an old shirt to avoid getting orange feet since the bottom of the booth had spray tan. Then when I came out I was dripping.. the machine didn't dry me at all it drenched me! I tried to wait until I was dry but ultimately had to pat myself off, leaving me blotchy. I expressed my concerns at the front and the lady was very nice but there was nothing she could do. Again, I had great service the spray machine was just old and bad! They are likely better for bed tanning, but still have to give a 2 star review (not 1 only because I had good costumer service) read more

I've been coming to Coppertan for almost 3 years now, I tanned for high school dances, before my birthdays, etc. I LOVE this place. They have an awesome staff, it's very clean, and it's very modern. They always have specials and they don't charge an arm and a leg which makes coming back no question. My favorite worker there is Faith - she is so professional and kind to everyone. She has spray tanned me twice now and does an excellent job. She is very knowledgeable with lotions, how to get the best tan, and with basically anything. She makes coming here enjoyable! I needed a quick tan for our vow renewal ceremony as I would be wearing a white dress. They have excellent prices and various packages. I normally avoid tanning out of fear of the sun but they do have the mystic spray tan and air brush that I can't wait to try at a later time when I'm not wearing all white. How rude can these people be? I called and made an appointment for today at 12:00 pm for an airbrush tan and they asked for my phone number for the appointment. I just showed up and there is a sign on the door "closed for Super Bowl, see you Monday". No courtesy call. I'm leaving in the am for vacation. No time to find another place today. This salon has a great selections of beds, so I figured getting sprayed they'd be advanced too. I am a frequent sprayer and know the drill. Worst spray ever. She missed a section on each arm. She even sprayed my feet. Was very disappointed. Wont be going here for a spray anymore. =( read more

Been coming here for 5 years and have always been happy with the service and their tanning beds! Best beds I've ever used. But lately they have really stepped it up with the service! All the girls are sweet, freindly, and very helpful! Beds are always super clean and sanitized, tanning salon always looks really nice and clean, and staff is always smiling and willing to help. I recommend this place to all my friends and they all end up loving it there! Haven't had a spray tan but from what I've seen and heard they do great spray tans too!
