In July of 2024 I paid PakMail of Avon on Rt. 44 approximately $388 to package & ship a valuable item to Florida. This $388 was in addition to the cost of insuring the item. Part of the item arrived broken, which made the set worthless. I contacted PakMail numerous times by phone, email & in person about reimbursement for the item & the cost of packaging & shipping. They refused to pay me for the item until I signed a release for all other claims. After receiving the payment for the value of the item, I was told they would not reimburse the cost of packaging & shipping. Their reason was that I didn't purchase separate insurance to cover this cost. During the 45 minutes I was in the store completing the transaction no one ever explained that these costs were not covered by the insurance I had already purchased, nor was I offered the option to purchase this additional insurance. Unfortunately, I now have no recourse to collect the $388. I will never use this store again for any shipping or other needs. FYI - I have never posted anything less than a 5 star review. This place deserves less than 1 star. read more

I have had several bad experiences with this company. For example, I called them twice today, to see if they could accommodate me. They indicated that they could. However, when I got there, they could not. And by that time, the post office was closed. A huge waste of my time & energy! So much for the holiday spirit! read more

Had a really nice experience here today. My wife had to ship back her computer and monitor to her company. Pak Mail did a nice job boxing it up and explaining the different shipping and insurance options to her. The staff was super courteous and friendly. While she was working out the details, I looked around the store and saw all kinds of neat stuff -gigantic sacks of those foam shipping peanuts, all kinds of cartons and bubble wrap, etc. Honest to God, there was a sofa and a video game on the sales floor awaiting shipping! Phil provided Fedex services for the package I need to send but it was concerning that he was not wearing a face mask even though one of his employees that came from the back room was wearing one! I kept my distance and when called to asked about if it was mandatory to wear face masks as employees since the sign says clearly it is mandatory for customers, the response from Susan the lady that answers the phone was" it should be worn on the site" but that there's a shield of plexiglass on the registers! My personal opinion as a person that works giving services to people as well, I wear a face mask 8 hours everyday and my register has plexiglass and I sanitized the check out area including the keypad! That's how the protocols should be done regularly to keep all of us safe! read more

I hired this company to help me at a very difficult time after my mother died, and I needed to move some furniture and other things from her home in Connecticut to my home in California. The owner and his son showed up on the day of the move and were so helpful and kind I was grateful to have them wrapping and handling my mother's possessions. They were very professional and packed everything with care so that when it arrived today it was all fine. Pricing was reasonable, and the owner assisted me in finding a great company in California to deliver and set up in my home. I highly recommend this company. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Not only are the people unfriendly, and rude, they are also completely unhelpful. I called them regarding a couple of packages I gave them to return a couple of weeks ago. I was concerned that I had not recieved receipt from the vendor and wondered what the status was of the pick up and delivery. The man who "helped me" could not have been more dismissive and rude if he tried. For those of you who do not know, evidently when you drop off a package to Pak Mail for delivery, you do so at your own risk. They assume NO responsibilty for your packages and are completely unhelpful in trying to assist you in locating them. I was eventually able to find information about my packages through the Avon Post Office. The gentleman who helped me was patient and respectful. I WILL NEVER USE PAK MAIL AGAIN and advise against anyone else using them for deliveries or returns. Instead, if you have a Fedex delivery or return try using Walgreens drop off in Avon. The people are extremely pleasant and I have never had an issue with delivery. read more

After asking for assistance in printing a label at the UPS store in Canton, the clerk abruptly told me that they were not a library and to seek help elsewhere. I did! Here at Pac Mail! My brother and I both recently used this Pak Mail Store to ship numerous items from our deceased Mom's house to our houses in Arizona and California. Many of these items were fragile and required special handling, (pottery, artwork, clock, antique table, heirloom chair). This husband/wife team did a fantastic job of packing our items and determining the most economical and safest method of shipment. My brother's first shipment arrived in one large crate, delivered to his front door. All items safe and sound. Our next two shipments were divided into smaller, individually packed boxes. Once again, all items arrived quickly without a single scratch. This is a well run business. The owners are friendly and treated our items with great care.
