I stopped by The UPS Store to return a package. This store is located in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking. As I gathered my keys, my purse and my big box and headed towards the UPS, a man had just walked out. He then traced back his steps just to open and hold the door for me, because I was carrying this big box. This was so very kind. There was no line inside. My box already had the return label on it, so it was a very easy job. They have some basic shipping supplies for sale. This was a successful and fast visit to UPS. read more

This UPS store is so wonderful. The staff is beyond helpful and kind, they go out of their way to make sure you get everything you need done exactly how you want it. Along with using them anytime I need to ship something or make a return, they also helped take care of a ton of my printing needs for my wedding. They reprinted old photos, made signs, seating chart arrangements and cards, anything I needed, they did it. They advised me on sizing of certain things and even helped me print out cards on really unique paper that I provided them. If I needed something changed or altered, they took care of it quickly, with kindness and ease. Also everything was shockingly affordable. I really can't say enough about how much I love and appreciate the wonderful staff at this location. read more

Very disappointing. They gave notice of not renewing our mailbox because of disrespecting their staff. It was the complete opposite - their staff showed disrespect and in front of customers. They lost a 3rd package and their response was, "What do you want from me? Do you want to look for yourself?" When my wife went back to address the issue with the manger, she starts accusing me of cursing and raising my voice. All I did was ask - not that the employee take responsibility, but that the store takes responsibility. This was received as being ridiculous. While I don't like reading a notice that does not state the truth, our leaving was inevitable. Too many instances of poor management. read more

I use the UPS Store as my go to for returns to Amazon and other online shops. I have never run into any issues with my returns, the staff has been great each time, 99.9% of the time the person has been very friendly :) Definitely my go to for dependable shipping. Much quicker than waiting in line at the USPS office. read more

As an update: The UPS Store in Wethersfield absolutely went above and beyond after my initial review. Shortly after they responded to my first yelp review in May, notifying me about the refund that UPS would send me due to the late delivery (something I never expected), I received a check in the mail. The check was processed automatically based on the expected delivery date, and I never even had to contact UPS directly - all companies should do this! A few days after I received the refund check in the mail, a staff member from UPS Wethersfield even called me to inquire, and to make sure that I did receive the refund check. I appreciate their follow up, and applaud their great customer service. Next time I need to send something out, I'll be heading to UPS Wethersfield. read more

If you are lucky to have Delmys assist you, you can be guaranteed that she is the best! She went above and beyond to help me.....from long distance! A package for me was routed to the UPS Store in Wethersfield, but I was in Florida! (I'm still trying to understand what happened....) When I learned of the error, I phoned the store from Florida and was so fortunate that Delmys was there to take my call. She worked some kind of magic to get the package sent to my proper FL address, and even phoned me back after a couple days to reassure me it was on its way, and that she was tracking its progress there as well. This store is outstanding - this was true prior to the pandemic but is even more so now. They help with contactless shipments which is a Godsend for seniors and those at high risk. Everyone at the store is the same - super helpful, friendly and kind. They are very quick and efficient and never a problem. Visiting my family in CT and needed to send some boxes back home to Texas... Mary was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful answering all my questions. She made the whole process of sending all these awkward sized boxes so easy and simple. And what I really appreciated was that Mary took her time and did not get flustered and was a real professional (100% for Customer Service). This was our first visit to this particular UPS store. We have used the chain in California and were very happy with the service. This location was just as good. We had to ship a care package to a German friend who is an exchange student in California. Her mom wanted us to bring the diverse items from Germany to the US and then send them. Comparing the UPS Store to the regular post office/USPS is like comparing filett mignion to dog food, with the UPS Store winning the comparison of being the fillett mignion... I'll let everybody guess who would be the 'dog food.' LOL!! Firstly the staff at the UPS store are MUCH friendlier and also more helpful. They go out of their way to make every customer feel important, and today was no exception. I was very impressed by there quick and friendly service. I was also impressed with how knowledgeable they were about everything. I have used them a few times in the past, though at different locations. But every time I have come to the UPS store, no matter which location I always have a good experience here. They know there stuff and some seem like they are not afraid to show it off. Showoffs! Just kidding of course.! The other thing which really impresses me whenever I go to one of their locations is how clean it is! When I compare them to USPS, the UPS Store wins, hands down! Everything is so much more organized, the counters aren't all dusty and the smell is actually pleasant! Even though it's a shipping facility, it doesn't seem -or smell like one. I don't know if they use air fresheners or not, but for someone like me with sensitive allergies to dust and therefore e a keen sense of smell, I notice the difference! Most important though is how the word 'fragile' really means fragile to them. I have shipped a few breakable items using there service in the past, also including today Each time, my package has arrived in good shape. It seems like that would be a given in the shipping industry, but believe me I have had bad experiences in the past with other mail/shipping services (no names mentioned... lol) and sometimes those items have gotten damaged. For quick and friendly service, knowledgable staff and just a generally nice atmosphere go to UPS store if you can. I would LOVe to give them a six stars rating, but 5 is as high as it goes unfortunately for them, lol!! read more

I just had to write a review for this place because I have used them several times when in town and they consistently offer superior customer service. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted. The people are extremely friendly and helpful, will tape up boxes for you, and ensure the customer is satisfied. I just had the worst experience of my life at an ups store in wethersfield, ct. I tried to ship some medication to my brother in law in PA, and was trying to ascertain the quickest way to get him his needed medication, as he has one day left. I was consistently being told there are no guarantees, but I could pay for the more expensive service. As I'm talking with the CSR at the counter, another employee starts laughing when I ask why there are no guarantees. I explained that I didn't deserve to be laughed at when he got very elevated very quickly. I asked for his name and role at that branch. I believe he said his name was joe, but he was the owner. I asked for his business card and he slammed a piece of paper in front of me. I told him I didn't want that, as I didn't want to touch more things in the store than I needed to, I asked for his business card. At that point he told me to get out, he wasn't shipping anything for me. I leave the store and him and another guy follow me out to the parking lot and start yelling at me. The other person (early to mid 40's dark hair male) starts yelling at me clearly within the 6' social distancing mandate without a mask on. He explains to me that he is the operations manager, and then tells me to hit him as it will ruin my day. I don't expect to be treated like that by anybody, let alone a business owner or operations manager. I am still shocked at the treatment I received at that store. I believe the store number is 5136. I sent this complaint to UPS parent company also, as this was the advisement of the police department. I called the police department as soon as I got home. read more

As of late, I've been frequenting this UPS store location. They offer many services and actually carry a variety of office supplies/mailing supplies in the store. The staff at this location are always very friendly, there are two younger guys who are usually working when I stop in- both polite and know what they're doing. Most recently, I was assisting my dad with his ridiculous request to ship a laptop overnight to be in a different state at 10 AM the next day... these guys made it happen. This was a fairly expensive shipping event, and the guy at the UPS store asked if I was a member of AAA (which I am!) and informed me that I get a discount! I thought it was absolutely wonderful that he thought to ask (maybe he just felt bad that I was paying upwards of $110 to ship something?) and it seems like the people working here really are trying to get you the best deal for shipping whatever it is you may need to. Seeing as it's in a plaza, there is plenty of parking. The store is always clean and organized. read more

Finding myself in urgent need of notary after town hall and the banks were closed, a private notary public who could not help me suggested trying UPS. The first store I called (Berlin) told me I needed an appointment; but the helpful staff in Wethersfield told me to come right down! I had no idea they provide notary public services-in this particular store, all hours they are open and without an appointment. Bless them for being available at 6:15 p.m.! read more

I Dad just passed away and I had to ship all my old toys, books, pictures and other things from my childhood. It was a lot of stuff and all so meaningful to me so I was nervous about dropping it off. I literally left everything in piles on the counter and they said they would take care of packing it. It all arrived in perfect condition. This is the best UPS store by far. They don't ask you a million questions about what you are shipping. They take your items, give you a receipt and do it all for you. They take USPS items and send those too. read more
