If I could put negative stars on UPS I would. I sat home all day waiting on a UPS delivery that needed a signature. Yes I could have done a digital signature but we have had issues in the past with drivers leaving packages in random locations (street, woods, barn). I have 4 dogs so when someone knocks on the door I know it. At 3:35 I get an email that they were unable to deliver because no one was home. Call customer service. Get someone who is probably in the Philippines. Takes 15 minutes to get her to understand the issue and finally tells me my package is at the UPS Store, go there, my package is not there and might be there tomorrow. UPS has the absolute worst drivers, this is not the first time they have lied about attempting delivery and their customer service is useless. read more

this place is TERRIBLE! there's no number to directly reach them and they scan orders out for delivery but when the truck gets to you, they tell you they don't have your stuff when you've been waiting ALL day watching their movements so you don't miss them! they waste your time and don't even communicate with you what's going on with your packages! they think it's a game and it's funny bc it's not their money! absolutely unprofessional! read more

I have never received a package on time, customer service sends you straight to automation and when it says it's coming in at 7:00 it's just waiting for the store to close so you can call and complain. read more

I ordered from Amazon and they shipped through ups. I get packages and mail at my house all the time. The note I got from ups said "unable to deliver. Bad address". It was my correct address. I called ups and they offered to redeliver. I told them that the address was correct, so how could they assure me that it would be delivered? They said they would put some notes in the driver directions to make sure it got to me the next day. I didn't receive anything for the next few days. Then I got a voice message saying it was being held for me to pick it up in Hartford. I'm going to return the item to Amazon and go to a local store to get it. What a waste of time. Not sure why they can't deliver to my address when everyone else can, including previous ups deliveries. read more

Went to a ups service center to send a handgun in for repair and was told I had to go to another service center that was 45 minutes away because this one did not service my town, which is 10 minuets away. Hartford CT. locust street is only open for service from 5-6PM. Not very efficient. They would not reprint the shipping label I had to read adult signature required. read more

UPS came yesterday but couldn't tell me what time they were coming to pick up a package that they delivered damaged. They left a sticker on my door. Today I came home early from work, called UPS twice they said they were coming UPS didn't show and I mined dinner out waiting! Now it's raining on the box they were coming to pick up! The customer experience with UPS in general is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get a super friendly employee who goes above and beyond to take care of you, and other times they clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I've had to come to this location numerous times because the delivery staff is inconsistent with when they choose to leave a delivery at the door and when they choose to leave a slip that requires me to pick up. Would really appreciate if that policy was made more clear because I'd much prefer them to leave at the door! I will say, I'm super thankful for the late weekday hours, which makes picking up packages after work an easy matter (looking at you USPS). However, they don't open on weekends at all, which is a slight inconvenience. read more

I just can't even deal with how horrible this UPS customer center is. I had a package come in and they wouldn't let me waive the signature part. Ok. So I ask if they can just leave it at Rocky Hill's post office. No. Ok. So I drove all the way up to Hartford to pick up my package, and waited over a half an hour to get to the front of the line for pickup where there were 10 other people who had gotten notifications their packages were there but come to find out they were on a truck there and not off the truck for a few more hours and for them to come back at 10 Pm that night. Because that's what all these other people wanted to do. And at first they couldn't locate my package either. And no more cash payments? Seriously? Get it together. read more

"Out for delivery", means nothing. It says by 8PM. I ordered from AMAZON, and everything was shipped in 2 separate boxes with the same delivery time and date. Guess what? They ended up in 2 different trucks! How inefficient is that? So I call at 6PM asking is the package coming tonight or what? She said it was sent on the "late truck" so most likely tomorrow. That's still vague. They could have delivered both boxes at the same time. So much for 2 day shipping from AMAZON using UPS. Its not working for $99.00 a year. read more

Paid $50 for priority shipping on 2 pieces of important mail. For some reason they required a signature (UPS did, NOT my sender) even though I added a signature on the website and told them to just leave it in my mailbox. They were unable to deliver my mail. One letter I was able to pick up at a local corner store. I couldn't change the delivery on the other because I only received a notice for the first. It has now been a MONTH that I've been trying to figure out where my second piece of mail is. I called yesterday and was informed my mail is being held at this location. When was anyone going to tell me this???? Literally no notice was given to me, even on the website. Honestly would be easier to have the sender resend with usps. read more

Unfortunately, there was no way to leave no stars, so I guess one will cover it (though I feel one star is too generous). I work in a small post office and a customer recently dropped off (in error) a package with a prepaid UPS shipping label. When I contacted UPS, I was informed that I would either need to drop off the package at a drop off location or pay a fee to have them pick up the package. Neither of those is acceptable to me. It's not my fault the customer made the error and why should I help UPS do their job. If there was a drop off outside or down the street, that would be one thing, but there isn't. UPS said it was ok to "dispose of the package". Pretty nice customer service, huh? Choose USPS...they pick up for free and charge a fraction of the cost. read more

I was a bit nervous with all the negative reviews for this facility - but I wasn't home to sign for my package and had to opt to pick up. I had to go between 8-9pm after the package was off the truck. The area was gated with a guard so I felt safe. It was well lit. I walked in, gave my address and ID, and the staff immediately handed me my package. The two folks working were very pleasant and efficient. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! read more

So convenient to have these UPS locations! Always fast and efficient, with friendly service. The only thing: it would be great to be able to route any of my shipments to these centers. For some reason, I can choose to route my shipments that do not need to be signed for here, but not the ones that do-- I have to go into the main Hartford location for those. It's difficult to order wine if I'm not home to receive it, and I can't figure out why I wouldn't be able to pick it up instead at one of these customer centers. read more

This was horrendous. I had to pick up a package. First let's review the hours. Open from 5-6 pm. So that right there is convenient. Then I arrived in the middle of a heat wave where we were directed to wait in the sun next to the open door. And then we waited a half hour for someone to acknowledge us. Absolutely terrible customer service from the agents and supervisors. For over two hours they told us an important package needed for today was at their hub but they couldn't locate it. We even sent someone to the hub to wait in hopes that would help speed up the process. Upon our 4th call to them they said the package wasn't able to be found and that we could come pick it up next week. There was no sense of urgency and I was passed around from person to person who couldn't do anything to help. Needless to say, I am totally disappointed with UPS and sadly this isn't the first time. They are notorious for terrible service and lack of empathy or urgency in any matters. read more

Fire your supervisor as soon as possible. Literally does not know a single thing about customer service. Paid $25 dollars for one day shipping for them to mess up, talk to them on the phone and they said it would have to be sent out the next day. ok whatever I'll pick it up instead because I need it hence why I paid for the one day shipping. So because they messed up I had to ask to get off work early to drive an hour to this place for him to not let me pick it up. Was rude and unhelpful. Too often only bad service is recognized. Well folks, here's a good review. I just left the UPS center in Hartford and I am extremely satisfied. I picked up my package - it only took a minute. I ordered a product online. I gave the online company my shipping address and I chose a 2-5 day arrival time. Everything went bad as soon as the package reached the FedEx Chicopee, MA facility. They changed the address on my package back to my old address and sent it to my old address, which was an hour's drive away from me. (They had my phone number but no one called to discuss this action with me). I filed a complaint three days ago with the company and told the manager I was speaking with that I was going to drive over to the old address and get it. (It is an apartment building and a former neighbor recognized my name and took the package to hold for me). The next day I was driving there to get it when the neighbor called and said that FedEx had picked up the package that morning and was bringing it to me. They didn't bring it to me. They brought it back to one of their facilities. A woman Fed Ex employee called me at 8am this morning to verify the address I want them to send it to. I still haven't seen the package yet today. If you don't have to use FedEx, please don't use them. I am contacting the company's president if the package doesn't arrive tomorrow. read more

THE WORST! One of their affiliates sent a very expensive antique broken and they only wanted to pay for a cheap repair job, even though it was insured for thousands of dollars and the piece is essentially worthless as a repaired piece. Their insurance is a joke and I would not be shocked if the have made billions in profit on this scam. I will only use pakmail /Fed Ex in the future. And no, I do not work for them. read more

I was getting wined delivered and UPS requires signature upon delivery but the problem is we keep missing each other since the delivery driver came while I was at work. Came here after 2 failed attempts to deliver to my home Walked in the door picked up the red phone on the wall, which reminded me commissioner Gordon's phone in the 1960's Batman TV series. I called up for my package had to be transferred 3x because the girls on the other side of the phone couldn't find it or transferred me to the wrong department. While I was on hold again the manager comes and apologizes saying my package was still in the delivery truck but was due back any second, and in less than 5 minutes he comes back out with my package. Package was in excellent shape. No damages. I asked the manager about the UPS MyChoice and if it would avoid missed deliveries and he explained the whole thing to me in an excellent way. The whole time he was very professional and helpful. He shook my hand and we both went out ways. My experience here started ok, took a turn on frustration street but then merged right on professionalism highway. I just wish all the other employers here would go above and beyond like this gentleman did. The worst part of this review is that I forgot to get his name so that I can mention here because he deserves it otherwise this review would have been a 2 star read more

They allow you to pick up packages between 8-9 pm on weekdays when they miss you during a drop off. UPS is my favorite courier between them and FedEx because they don't always require a signature and will leave my Amazon.com items at my door. But this particular package was an electronic item and they made the correct decision to take it back with them. I arrived 10 minutes early and the UPS dude saw me and ignored me, refused to open the door, and made me wait until exactly 8 pm to let me in. Not the best in customer service but it's nice to be able to get the package you need the same day. read more

This is the worst managed UPS location I have ever had the misfortune to experience. They have been awful for many years but today they dropped to a new low. Amazon sent my order through UPS. I was home on the day the tracking service schedule delivery, all day. The driver never came to my door, placed an exception on my delivery stating the receiver (me) was not available. Fine, they do this all the time so I expected they would attempt delivery the next day. But nooo, new low for these people. The next business day they added another exception stating I, the receiver, requested pickup at the Hartford terminal. This driver blatantly lied as I never called UPS to schedule a pickup at the terminal. I called the 1-800 number to complain and I had the customer service representative check on their computer if I had called them to schedule a pickup at the Locust Street pickup, and her computer terminal had no record of me calling. So I asked her how would it have been possible for the driver to state I had schedule a Locust Street terminal pickup if I had never called??? No answer, she became evasive and tried to change the topic and tried to give me the street address of the terminal. I did not pursue the issue further because I'm sure the customer representative at the main 1-800 number had no idea what had happened. But I will say this, I was very upset that I had to drive 20 miles to Hartford in the evening hours to pickup a padded envelope. UPS, if your Hartford terminal is understaffed, then hire more damn drivers to handle deliveries correctly!!! If Amazon provided me a choice as to which delivery carrier I could choose, your business would be the last in consideration. You are worse than DHL in the central Connecticut area. read more

I took the day out of work to receive a package that was to be delivered to me today. While waiting I checked the tracking and saw that the delivery person had arrived and left. I didn't understand what happened since I was waiting for the delivery. I have no door bell and I live in a secure building, so I hoped that that would get a call. But no UPS doesn't do that. Fine. I asked that they please send back the delivery person since I would not be able to spend another day away from work. I spent the ENTIRE day going back and forth with UPS and have been basically told "too bad lady." They had a person from some UPS office in Hartford CT call me, and tell me that they make two other attempts at delivery. She did not allow me to complete a sentence and was condescending and rude for the entire call. I will not use UPS again. read more

I tell you what! if I could give 10 stars for how consistent they've been with their crappy service I would , I had 3 same packages delivered of the same product and every time the packages got worse . The one that stands out the most is the second delivery that it is clearly is marked caution on both side of the box and I see the ups driver just letting it slam on my concrete steps In front of my house , he didn't even bother bringing it up 2 stairs to laying it flat on my door step he just left it laying on a angle after slamming it on my stairs .For my 3rd replacement package I waited almost 2hrs for the ups driver to show up with my delivery because I wanted to make sure that package was in good condition before accepting it . When the driver shows up its the same driver that slammed my package on my stairs , I told him your the guy that delivered me the box from hell!!! It looked liked it been seating In water all day after being thrown out of a 3rd story window and on top of that you slammed it on my stairs!!! I Also asked him if you know that this package looks this bad why are you delivering it and all he kept saying it wasn't him that it must of been another driver , can you believe this guy ! He would rather blame another driver before accepting that he was wrong what a coward! Even after I told him that I had him on camera he still said it wasn't him! until he saw him self performing the worst job for a company that I worked for over 20years ago . I don't know what happen to this place because when I was there we all worked hard and I made sure that all package where handle with care when I put them my self in a truck on orange belt . I told this person why would he handle a package like that don't you know that this product has gas that runs through it and he said it's not marked on the box and I pointed it out for him in a matter of one second and the last box that he delivered had caution! on both side of the box. After that he finally try to change his tune but by then I just wanted him off my property. I ended up accepting the last box in the dark and after I brought it in it looks bad as well , today I spoke to Laura at the customer center and explained to her what happened and she told me that she would get some one from the front office to call me . I shipped an irreplaceable item home while on vacation. The driver "misdelivered" it and they know where it was delivered but claim they had no way to contact the driver to retrieve it and would not tell me where it was so I could pick it up myself. Then they tell me their "missing package" investigation takes 1-8 business days. Are you freakin kidding me?!? So much for my mothers custom made Xmas gift. read more

What a scam these people are running.. They try to deliver once, twice, 3x (all with no input allowed from the receiver about even a vague time of day), then, when you're not home (cuz i WORK) they make the generous offer for ME TO GO PICK UP the package at a nearby location and PAY $6 for the right to pick up said package...talk about a double dip.. the lady on the phone said this counts as "delivery to a private access point"... what a load of bs, like ups is not making money off their "access point" system ... a fraudulent system like this encourages drivers to not make deliveries and to not have flexibility, thereby making ups more money on each package. read more

hi my name is noelia lopez and i was suppose to receive a package on monday april 17- 2017 and since it didnt had an apt number he ask for my id so i told him let me get it but the aprtment number is right there on the wall he said well is not on the package then he said well u know what forget it i will attemp the delivery another day he didnt even wait for me to get my id he just left now iam getting calls from the ups company that they are trying to locate my package and that there have been some damage to my package i told them it was the drivers fault he damage my package that would have never happen if he had just waited for me to get my id .. iam so pissed he should be fired for leaving not waiting for me to get the information he asked for and for damaging my package because i truly know that it was him that did it .. cuz it was fine when he was delivering it why now is damage yup it was him... nice worker u got there.. he should be terminated...ASAP... read more

This is one of the worst hubs in existence. I hate to use the term "your drivers" are the most irresponsible individuals when delivering packages. Not all drivers are irresponsible. But you have some that need to be terminated. Yesterday they were supposed to make a delivery which never happened. You folks need to get your act together. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The customer service was absolutely terrible. My poor mother who hardly speaks English went in to send out a package. The elderly woman behind the counter told her to fill out a packaging slip on the computer. Given the fact my mothers English is poor there was no way she knew how to use the computer. The lady made a rude remark and laughed at my mother when she asked for her help. She then proceeded to make my mother wait in the middle of the store while she helped four other clients before she made an attempt to help her. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, HIGHLY do NOT recommend going there!!!!! read more
