It was raining, and I wanted to do something fun and indoors. I paid to play mini golf, and had…read morepaid to play both rooms. The course itself was clean and interesting; however, the courses were very easy and not very challenging. As a result of the easy courses, my husband and I got through them really fast. I was a bit annoyed because there was another group playing, and they were running all over the place. They were stepping on the props and going out of order. The parents weren't paying attention, and I just wish there had been some intervention from staff, unless they don't have cameras in the room to see this type of behavior going on. I think the mini golf is more for little kids. I've been to other mini golf locations, and have always found them to be fun and challenging. I just feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I think the price should be lower than what it is. Overall, the place was clean, restrooms clean, and the staff were nice and helpful.

We went in 2 days prior as our plan had got rained out and he was so flexible and understanding. We had a large group and they did everything to make us comfortable and well taken care of. Our party host was named Steven and he was phenomenal. He was so great with the kids, organized, got everything we needed and made sure we were up to date with the plan of the evening. It was amazing! We had been to portals about 6 months prior just as a fun family date of laser tag and mini golf and we had the best time. I would definitely recommend it and we plan to continue to make future trips.

Though there are other shops in the area that are closer to where I live, I never hesitate to go out of my way to come here. The people there are always welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging. Through their various events, they've also created a community of collectors that I'm happy to be a part of. The other card shops in the area don't seem to engage with the community on the same level as Honey Hole. The prices are very reasonable and the selection of products and singles is always rich and dynamic. For better or for worse, I never fail to find something new I want to pick up. I also appreciate the fact that they have a partnership with a pre-grading/card cleaning company, Market2Mint. For someone that was new to grading cards, the ease of dropping cards off at the shop to be pre-graded really helped me get my collection to the next level. Special shoutout to Matt who leads the team there. My wife and I always enjoy spending extra time hanging out and talking to him and the team about the latest and greatest. The other two locations in Southern California (Escondido & San Diego) are also great and are definitely worth checking out. Definitely don't miss this place if you're deep in the hobby or just starting out.

I usually love this place. It's the only spot to have studio time within a 30 mile radius, but I…read morefeel like I got robbed today. I almost cried paying for my studio time today. I previously went in and made cups with my bestie. We happily paid for our studio time because it made sense and we were grateful to be able to use all the supplies! I went back today to glaze and got charged for another 3 hours. This didn't make sense to me because I have gone in and painted the pre-made ceramics for hours before and have only been charged one flat fee. I did the equivalent of what someone painting a pre-made piece would have done. Just to make this extra clear, if I were to grab a pre-made plate and paint it for 3 hours, I would NOT be charged an additional $40 for how long it took me. I really love this place and would really like this wrong to be made right. I'd be happy to change my review with this issue addressed. The employees are all great and tried to explain the studio time to me, but they just weren't understanding the comparison I was making to people walking in and grabbing something off the shelves. They have no power with price changes so I do NOT blame them at all. I'd love to talk about this further if it's needed! :)) Update: So sad that I haven't been reached out to yet. My best friend went to collect the mugs today (she lives closer to the store) and they mentioned my review and attempted to give a "the price is the price" kind of attitude. It's really confusing how there is zero understanding of the fact that I got overcharged for ONLY painting. If someone grabbed something off the shelves and painted for 5 hours they would NOT be charged what I got charged. How hard is that to understand? I am an artist and I can understand pricing, but this makes no sense. I have spoken to so many people about this and they all agree that the charge was NOT FAIR. I've ended every conversation by saying "I really hope they reach out to me because it's so unfortunate this has happened and maybe it's just something someone has never done before so they will adjust it." But NOPE! Nothing! Please stop acting confused and admit that you don't care about pricing properly. I ONLY PAINTED! But since I made the mug myself (and happily paid for that studio time), I now have to pay for each individual hour of painting. How does that make any sense? I'll be happy to have all of my family and friends write a review.

It says it's 3 people per lane and so if you have a bigger group, you have to reserve an additional. We arrived earlier than our reservation. Time but they let us join in early. We quickly signed a waiter and got to our lane. The worker demonstrated the different axes we could throw. There was a small and thin one, small axe, medium axe, long and big axe, and a shovel. I liked the small and thin one best. It's cool because the target is digital and they have tons of different options to pick from. Our favorite was the regular target and the tic tac toe. They had strategy ones as well. I noticed that the board panels were thick and the axes were dull and so it would still, but fall off quickly after. Not sure if I wasn't hitting it with enough power, but even the worker couldn't get his axe to stick when he was demonstrating. You can't drink alcohol inside the building, but there's a bar next door. They let us go back and forth, but that took time away from our hour. They have drinks and snacks for purchase. Overall, it was a really cool experience and a great price compared to some other Axe throwing spots I've seen.
