PIRATES AND DINOSAURS MINI-GOLF We paid for the two 9-hole courses (pirates and dinosaurs themes). You simply retrieve another ball at the counter between plays as you lose your ball down the last hole. We thought the pirate course was the better of the two, having some animated screens and was also less busy the day we went. Both courses are indoor and glow-in-the-dark. VISUALLY STUNNING, SLIGHTLY UNINTERESTING HOLES Visually, this is one of the better mini-golf courses we've done, especially because it's neon glow-in-the-dark, although the actual holes were slightly straightforward. Many of them just had concrete obstacles in the way in different formations. Still worth doing though, especially if you're mini-golf fans like us. NOT JUST MINI-GOLF The restrooms were in the back. They have two party rooms that were both busy the day we went. There are arcade machines and laser tag and food and drink available at 'Portal 19' (21+) PRICING The price for 2 mini-golf courses was $17 each. The guy I spoke with also told me that I could buy clay there and that all I needed to do beforehand was call to make sure they weren't busy and that there was space for me. On Thursday, I called ahead to make sure they weren't busy and then drove there. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh, we don't sell clay anymore." Luckily, I had mentioned that I didn't have clay because they were about to charge me the $40 anyway. First of all, why do they not sell clay when their name is literally "Temecula Clay"?! More importantly, please educate your employees on whether or not you sell clay, because I used to buy clay there a few years ago. I drove there TWO TIMES and wasn't able to use the wheel or work with clay at all. Just sell me the clay? Especially when the closest place to buy it is an hour away. Summer, our instructor was kind, patient and extremely helpful. She would teach us step by step what to do with the clay and then go to each student in the class and help them individually. I know personally that my "coffee mug" would have looked terrible without her expert help. My son did everything on his own with a little help with Summer and made two pieces. We quickly signed a waiter and got to our lane. The worker demonstrated the different axes we could throw. There was a small and thin one, small axe, medium axe, long and big axe, and a shovel. I liked the small and thin one best. It's cool because the target is digital and they have tons of different options to pick from. Our favorite was the regular target and the tic tac toe. They had strategy ones as well. I noticed that the board panels were thick and the axes were dull and so it would still, but fall off quickly after. Not sure if I wasn't hitting it with enough power, but even the worker couldn't get his axe to stick when he was demonstrating. You can't drink alcohol inside the building, but there's a bar next door. They let us go back and forth, but that took time away from our hour. They have drinks and snacks for purchase. Overall, it was a really cool experience and a great price compared to some other Axe throwing spots I've seen.

She could have offered to let her paint for only 30 mins or whatever would allow her to close on time. She just seemed like she didn't want us there because she was on a time crunch to leave. I believe it would be beneficial to ensure that your hours are accurately reflected on your phone line and to allow customers to enjoy their time until closing. The tables and chairs were already set up with all of the paints and supplies, so all we had to do was sit down, relax, and start painting. The instructor and his helper were both great! The instructor walked us through the painting step by step in a way that was really easy to understand. What I especially appreciated was that they actually walked around to each table to make sure everyone was following along before moving on. I've been to painting parties where the instructor goes so quickly that you're trying to keep up the entire time, so I really liked the more personal approach here. The instructor was also lots of fun and kept the experience entertaining and lighthearted. Everyone was able to be creative and just enjoy themselves, regardless of their painting skills. I had such a good time that I would definitely attend another Paint and Sip, and next time I'd love to check out their actual location.
