Got a great price on Groupon for the, "Wanted In The West" escape room. Although we didn't finish in time due to just not pushing things all the way in, we had a great time. The staff was great & let us go a few minutes over to try and solve. Lots of parking. Location is in a business area with no signs so we weren't sure if we were in the right place at first. You have to call them to let you in the building, but we did go late in the evening past 9pm. Love the late hours. This place not only has one, not two, but three really cool escape rooms! One of them is a western theme, one a smuggler theme and one a legendary theme. We did the smuggler theme and it was so much fun and we actually got out! They were very helpful along the way, thank goodness! They also have a rage room and a splatter room! We were a party of three unfortunately it's only one person at a time 20 minutes and you can play your own music. I called yesterday and spoke to a guy who told me ages 4 and younger are free. I had my family drive in from out of town for my sister's birthday. We called to make an appointment and the girl on the phone said it's only free for 2 and younger after I told her we had 3 kids 4 and younger. She wouldn't budge on the age. I explained what the guy said yesterday and she just said that's not their policy. So I was in a hurry I reluctantly went with the purchase. Since my family drove all the way out I did it. she charged me for 7. I realized I meant to tell her my son is only 7 months. So I only needed 6 tickets. Once we got there I told the employee he said all he could do was give me a credit. Not a refund. I even asked him what the age policy is with him not knowing my phone experience he said he was told it was around 4. Then the inside was dirty. We did have fun the employee working was nice and helpful. I am just not happy with the customer service on the phone. They are not on the same page with their policies. read more

Escaped the Smuggler's room with only 30 seconds left! First time at this place for my party of four. If you arrive at an office building with a pretty empty parking lot, you've got the right place. Overall good story and fun experience. Challenging and stumped at times especially in the beginning but was able to figure out a good amount on our own. I was so excited to bring my son here to celebrate his birthday,but the whole experience was a let down. First we had a reservation for paint splatter room at 7:30, we didn't start until 7:50. We were taken back down a hallway to a small dirty room where you put on your poncho and shoe covers, they give you dirty foggy goggles that they clean with baby wipes...baby wipes are not disinfectant! They were each given 4oz of paint that they pretty much went through in 9minutes, but it's supposed to last an hour? When i asked for more paint i was told i would have to pay for more, but that they were out of all the paint colors except blue. So i got more blue paint, what was i supposed to do? Let their experience end in 9 minutes? Told the kids to use it sparingly, they made it last about 10 more minutes. And that was it, it was done. 20 minutes with three paint colors. $200 for 20 minutes. I get it it's a paint room but the whole thing is just an unorganized mess. They're false advertising and they rip you off with upgrades and add ons. Would not go back to any of the other rooms/activities after this experience. read more

What you're doing; we were sweating the entire time. second; it is unnecessarily dark in the room; you need a flashlight to see anything and the only flashlight they have is was the tint on one the walkie talkie. Third; the things I. The room are falling apart and need to be replaced to play the game properly and not spend 15 minutes on a puzzle you had correct right away but the loc was messed up. If the game masters were watching what you were doing maybe they could have let us know; even when we asked for help they took so much time trying to figure what we were working on. I appreciate this business for helping us be able to celebrate my nephews 10th birthday in this COVID world. We had a group of 9 (3 kids and 6 adults) and did the smugglers/western room. We arrived and were greeted by a nice man who was very patient with the kids and their rattling chatter as well as interruptions from adults and their rattling chatter . The game as it is was not very hard looking back on it so for those like me please don't be intimidated by the thought that they will be hard clues. Our group unfortunately had too many kids as well as men with small brains but big opinions to be able to move quickly through the scenarios. Ultimately we finished over the hour we are suppose to be allotted but the very nice employee let us go over that time limit and finish making the kids feel like winners. I appreciated that the most. This was my fourth escape room, first at this location. We attempted The Smuggler Room. We were greeted right when we walked in and had to fill out and sign a waiver on an iPad. We ended up having the room to ourselves which was nice. The guy who was working went over how to open the types of locks we would find in our room (which is a great idea. He took us to our room and gave us a rundown of the story for the room we were in. In my opinion, a theatrical audio recording of the story would actually be pretty cool and I think would make a group focus more. Let me just say, to our defense, we had just come from wine tasting so we were not at our strongest mentally. The room was pretty dark, which is usually how most escape rooms are in my experience. The key is to communicate with your group! If you see anything that seems random or strange, say it out loud so everyone hears you. We were able to ask for clues which was cool. We definitely did not finish the room! It was fun though. After the employee offered to take our group picture. They had some silly props that were fun to use. I look forward to looking up their location in San Diego. My aunt bought our tickets for the room through a groupon she found and saved a bunch. When we were in the lobby waiting for our room, things seemed a little off. The instructor was making rude comments about a group asking for help. When we got into the room, we had difficulties with the room, not even able to solve the majority of the puzzles which was odd as I've played over ten escape rooms with varying difficulties, all harder or equal difficulty levels as the one we did, and had no problems at other locations. Turns out we figured out one of the puzzles too early which "broke" the room. No one told us that if we were to solve a puzzle out of order that our room would break, and when someone came once the time for the room was up and we failed, they were condescending, acting as if it was common knowledge. Let me start by saying Kayla is AMAZING! She stayed with us during our axe throwing time and cheered us on when we landed good shots, took score for us during our competition, and was overall such a great guide to have. She also helped providing us hints when we were stuck in the escape room and needed a clue. Well shut my mouth...Temecula has an Escape room now and it competes with the likes of the Escapes rooms in LA, Orange, and San Diego counties. It makes sense considering that I belive this company started in Orange County and has a location there as well. It just caught me a little by surprise because I've seen a lot of Escape rooms and didn't think one in Temecula would have a lot to offer. I am very glad to be proven wrong. Excellent customer service from start to finish from the young lady working the evening we came in. I believe her name is Breanne (sorry if Im wrong). We bought a dealpolooza which was well worth it. The location is right across the street from Ballast Point. Smart! They have several little games to play while you wait for your whole party to arrive and go into the rooms. Some classics like air hockey, connect four, and chess. We did the Pirate room. It was challenging without being over complicated which some Escape rooms can really take it over board with the brain teasers and puzzle sequences to figure out. I felt each puzzle, combination, or sequence was valid and contributed to the next. I especially liked the twist in the beginning with the captain. Sneaky Sneaky. I also love how each team member starts off. I've seen this at a few Escape rooms. The ending was also pretty awesome. We finished I'd say right as time ran out. Maybe a minute after with the help of 3 1/2 clues. I can't give too much away. You really have to try it for yourself and its definitely worth a try.
