Twist'n U has really helped my daughter progress. She's been with an amazing coach for a couple of years but she's been stuck in her head a bit with the back tuck. She says the explanation and specific feedback on technique have helped her get over the hump and the video proves it. Overcoming a knee injury, being stuck in her own head...it's been tough but the connection made at Twist'n U has been really fun to watch. But of a drive for us but it's worth it to see her proud of herself and flying high again! read more

Our son used to go here...very dirty as some reviewers have said and we didn't really feel like our son was safe because of the lack of supervision. Too few employees for so many kids. One day when I was picking him up, we saw a kiddo get hurt in a corner and no one tended to him...so he just ran crying to parents...poor thing. I see on here that the manager or owner or someone seems to try to harass reviewers on here when they speak the truth. But sorry, Yelp is supposed to be a fair, open place where anyone can speak their truth without fear of bullying. Our truth is that this gym was not the right fit for us, sorry. I also see that some reviews are debated by the manager or owner if they come in a few months late. For the record, Yelp doesn't have a timeframe or deadline on a review. (And some of us busy parents don't have time to write a review immediately after leaving your gym! By far the worst facility my child was enrolled in. We did not complete the season. There was absolutely no organization and Poor communication.They are money hungry and do what ever they can to finagle as much money they can out of you. I understand cheer is a pricey sport but when they are having children coach children but charging top dollar, that is not acceptable. They changed coaches multiple times. Attended a friend's birthday party here for their daughter. Location accomodated a large group easily in their gymnasium. For 20 kids, they had two employees supervising the floor activities. Cool rock wall, trampoline, foam squares pit, balance beams, bars and rope swings. Shoe cubbies available. No restrictions on socks/no socks. Water fountains available as well. Very chilly gymnasium today if you're just there observing. Dress comfortably. According to our host they accommodate private events on weekends despite their hours varying based on traffic. One parent shared that a previous event they attended here on a Sunday, the employees had been a no show and luckily that event host had had the owner's personal cell to remind them of their reserved event so on THAT note, make sure to have that confirmed. Mistakes happen but what a bummer if their guests and host couldn't have their event due to an unforseen miscommunication. Overall, a cool party venue for kids to have fun and be active with these fun features and even obstacle courses the employee set up. Front entry had space to seat about 20 guests and 3 tables for party goodies. A freezer was available if needed. Not sure about a fridge. Clean bathrooms and viewing area accomodated another 10-15 chairs. Staff present were nice. Thank you! read more

Update: the owner reached out and said he would address the issue immediately and talk to coaches to make sure they showed more enthusiasm with the kids. After visiting again I did notice a shift in the energy during class. Coaches seemed more engaged and encouraging with the little ones. I think tone is everything for kids this small. A "good job" can go a long way. I hope this energy continues. I am grateful the owner was responsive and understanding with my concerns so that was greatly appreciated. This is for the kidnastics only. I can't speak on the rest of the gym. I was slightly disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm the coaches show. Coach Evan is great and uses enthusiasm and excitement with the kids, but the rest of the female coaches all seem to be unhappy working with the kids or bored. They don't show much personality or enthusiasm with the little ones which is so important when kids do something and they feel excited about it right after. We're giving it another try, but this is the one area I'm struggling to love about it. I hope they can take this feedback and maybe encourage the coaches to be a little more energetic and enthusiastic when teaching. read more

Took my little girl for a free trail period and she loved it the staff was inviting (unlike others I won't name) and they made her feel comfortable. Not only do we take multiple classes that they offer, we have joined their University All Star Cheer Team and we LOVE IT! Horrible experience! My daughters first day there and staff members weren't helpful at all. Several of their "coaches" aren't trained or qualified to be working with kids. Drea was rough with my 8 year old daughter and extremely rude to her and I. We will not be returning and will definitely not be referring any friends there! The gym itself is over crowded and dirty. After reporting Drea's rude behavior to the office staff I was assured she would not be coaching my daughters class. That was a lie, she had her hands on my daughter the whole time being rough with her and made her cry for a second time. At this point I had no choice but to remove her from a bad situation. Apparently the all mighty dollar speaks more then the children's concerns. So if your child attends a class for years, expect them to take your child's coach away. Our 4th year with this gym doing Allstar cheer and it has become my daughter's second home. The owners, coaches and staff treat her like family! She has made tremendous progress here since we first started. My daughters have been coming here for quite a while so I feel comfortable reviewing with confidence. My daughters are 10 and 6 and have been coming here for over a year. My then 9yo was afraid of the balance beam so Kiara suggested I move her to tumbling, which she's loved. My 6yo is fearless and loves it all so she's stayed in gymnastics. She was still five when Kiara let me know she was ready for the next class. She's the youngest and smallest but it's never stopped her! The coaches are always positive and helpful and my girls have never complained about any of them. They've learned skills here that just impress the pants off me and their progress in just one class a week is obvious! They have fun and they work hard. I like that there are a variety of classes, and that I can have all three kids in class at the same time. there are classes for children ages 18 months and up. Great place to take your kids to learn the basics and expand on their current skills. In the summer or on hot days it gets REALLY hot in the gym!! A better AC unit is needed or something bc the parents are sweeting just as much a the kids. I really like my daughters coach as he is firm and you can tell the kids have a lot of respect for him. He definitely makes sure that the kids are working the entire 60 mins. The prices are a little high and they require an automatic payment method so just be aware of that. read more

We've been taking classes and on the UA cheer team for a few years now and couldn't be happier. All 3 of my children have taken any number of classes over this time and 1 consistently cheering. The gym may be just a big building, but inside it feels like a small, close family. We love the Coaches and staff. I appreciate having an owner that's actively involved and present. Knowing when issues arise, as of course they will, he is there to handle them quickly. Anyone that thinks they can find a place that is free from problems and headaches from time to time is welcome to enjoy that hunt. But in the end, when parents and coaches work together you will see your children thrive and that is the whole point of a successful business. Fun place but my son did their "ninja" class it's 80 bucks a month for a one-hour session. There were about 15 kids in the class in a crowded gym full of other activities going on. These kids had a very small place to work/play. The girl was teaching this class had no clue what they were doing. High school kids which are fine but they stood around for the first 15 minutes doing nothing. Too many kids in this class made for a lot of standing around. NOT worth the money in my opinion. I give it three stars because the helpers are very nice and everyone seemed nice but I"m not paying for nice. My 8-year-old was bored and pretty advanced the trampoline was boring they had to jump 5 times then the next kid. Really not to much fun maybe for 4/5-year-olds I guess. read more

We are now taking the Ninja class which he absolutely loves! Mr. Brandon is an amazing teacher. My kids have been coming here for the toddler classes in the morning for over a year. Compared to other local gymnastics gyms we have tried, Twist-N-U is the most clean, organized, and has newer well-kept equipment. A group of toddlers is a task in itself to handle for 45 minutes in a fun place like a gymnastics gym. I appreciate the stern but loving instruction my kids get and need to understand that they need to listen, pay attention, and do as the instructors says. Kids can get hurt very easily so it's important to let the coaches tell the kids what to do. I'm glad my kids can have a place to actually learn a well structured gymnastic skill instead of a playtime free-for all. The staff is great, if there is ever an issue the owner is quick to resolve it. Definitely worth the money. Not everyone will like the decisions of a business owner, but "that's life." As a business owner myself, you have to do what is best for the whole company, not one needy customer. I like that they don't cater to one unreasonable customer. The kids are never the problem, it's almost always the parents that have problems. So please, do you children a favor, let the coaches do their job. My daughters have been going there for 8 years and we love this place, they are like family. It's sad that when people quit they have to have their friends right negative reviews on such an amazing place with amazing owners. If we were the owner we would've fired that staff member along time ago because she's either late doesn't show up or she cancels classes.
