The are where you dig for treasures!

We went here without kids-what an awesome place to go as an adult as well. The owners are super nice and are very passionate about their business. We had an absolute blast! The concept is simple yet brilliant--dig in sand pits, searching for stones, crystals, and minerals. It's like a real-life treasure hunt that keeps everyone engaged and excited from start to finish. The setup is perfect for young explorers. This family run business is knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain the different types of stones and minerals you might find. T they have a retail area to buy stones, candles, dig kits for home use and other items. I was told they do theme parties as well as have special events, Go in and try this place out! You WILL enjoy it. Highly recommend!

The kid paleontologist in me forced a trip to this place. Using my kiddo as an excuse, we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. I think rocks have always been trendy. I remember as a kid collecting them, pocketing ones I found along trails and going to places like Knott's Berry Farm where they'd have a geode cracking station. Seeing this place brought back rich memories of a childhood focused on what we need more of! I was talking to the incredibly nice couple who runs it, and they told me that they wanted to share all of their travels with everyone. What better way than bringing back little pieces of it back for kids to dig and find. Not only does this experience fill my educational cup, but it provides kids with a sensory exploration. Each section is divided into themes, and each theme contains different things to dig for. You can add on a geode for $3 more (yes please!). Kids are given a bin of dirt and a sheet of potential rocks/gems to find. They have as long as they want, and have a number of pieces that they can pick out of the ones they find. Once they finalize their pieces they are given a water bin to rinse them off! This part I really appreciated, because what kid doesn't like water play? Once the pieces are all dried and clean - each rock/gem are explained to them with brief detail from a display board. Once everything is finished you are given a cute little drawstring bag for your treasure. If you get the geode experience, there is a geode cracker in the back. You will get to select your geode and they put it in the cracker. Once cracked, it's then put in its own little box. Overall I think I was more impressed and amazed than my son. I love the concept, and enjoy out of the box thinking. They also do birthday parties I believe in 2 hour blocked windows. If you need a unique activity for a busy kiddo (especially one 4+ years) this is a great option!

This place is great! My 4 year old has been here several times and really enjoys the different digs that they offer. He actually has a cool rock collection now.I also appreciate that with each dig he learns about what he finds. The owners are super nice and really take the time to interact with the kids. A great fun place to take you kids!

    Glow dig!

This place is amazing! Mrs. Char and Mr. Damion are so extremely kind and informative and make it such a fun experience! They have so many crazy cool samples and they teach you about each item and how it is formed. They have different dig options like glow gems, fossils, VIP, etc...and each one is FANTASTIC! You come away with so many great samples and you learn each time you visit! I highly recommend this place. I would rate it 100 stars if I could. We always come away with a renewed love for rocks and gems.

The kids were engaged! And had a blast!

Took my Granddaughter here today and she loved it! She is into crystals and she's four years old so she got to crack a geode as well.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

It's probably better in the fall/winter since there's no shade and the sun was hot. Most of the cages didn't have names or descriptions on the animal's story, which would've helped improve the experience. We couldn't see the tortoise since he was in his house and no one was around to let us in the pen. The chocolate truffles are great; we bought some of those.

PIRATES AND DINOSAURS MINI-GOLF We paid for the two 9-hole courses (pirates and dinosaurs themes). You simply retrieve another ball at the counter between plays as you lose your ball down the last hole. We thought the pirate course was the better of the two, having some animated screens and was also less busy the day we went. Both courses are indoor and glow-in-the-dark. VISUALLY STUNNING, SLIGHTLY UNINTERESTING HOLES Visually, this is one of the better mini-golf courses we've done, especially because it's neon glow-in-the-dark, although the actual holes were slightly straightforward. Many of them just had concrete obstacles in the way in different formations. Still worth doing though, especially if you're mini-golf fans like us. NOT JUST MINI-GOLF The restrooms were in the back. They have two party rooms that were both busy the day we went. There are arcade machines and laser tag and food and drink available at 'Portal 19' (21+) PRICING The price for 2 mini-golf courses was $17 each. Unfortunately, we learned after arriving that Toddler Time would not begin until August 17. We planned to stay for the full 90-minute session but left after approximately 45 minutes because of the lack of cleanliness, organization, and supervision. The toddler area was especially filthy. I honestly felt like bringing in a container of antibacterial wipes and cleaning everything myself. There was visible grime, duct tape covering multiple areas, ripped and damaged padding, lifting floor sections, and peeling walls. We also noticed dark staining and deterioration on the walls that appeared consistent with water damage and possible mold. I cannot confirm what it was, but it was concerning to see inside an area designed for very young children. The safety gate for the five-and-under section was loose, unstable, and did not feel like a reliable safety barrier. Some of the equipment also looked worn or poorly repaired. Several attractions, including the climbing walls, were not being used, so we could not fully evaluate everything the facility offers. The staff members were friendly, but unfortunately, they were not very attentive or hands-on. We saw at least three employees, and all of them remained at the front desk, frequently on their phones. We did not see anyone supervising the individual play areas, enforcing the posted age restrictions, or actively cleaning. Since the facility was mostly filled with children around six and younger that morning, having staff visible throughout the play areas would have made the environment feel much safer and more organized. This place has the potential to be a four- or five-star indoor play center, but it needs significantly better maintenance, cleaning, staff involvement, and management oversight. With young children touching everything and playing on this equipment, cleanliness and safety should be the highest priorities. Based on what we experienced, I cannot recommend a membership or a return visit unless some major improvements are made.

My son was one of the youngest there and had no trouble playing with the bigger kids, but there is a separate area for just 2 and under. Bathroom was clean and there was a changing table with wipes and a diaper pail available. Pricing was $20 for 2 hours of play which was plenty long enough for us to explore everything. There were a couple play houses, a "fishing pond," a farmers market with tons of play fruits and grocery items, two slides, and tons of trucks and cars and other toys! There were plenty of places for parents to sit inside the play area and observe the kids. My only complaint was that it was a little warm for me inside and I wish the AC was on higher, but it was also 100 degrees outside and I was chasing a toddler. The parents to the older kids didn't seem uncomfortable at all! The website is a little confusing when booking, so pay extra attention to what days are available for which times! I had booked 10-12 on a weekday without realizing they didn't have open play slots until 12 that day. We killed time at Target and came back and it was still totally worth it. They also have memberships if you want to save some money and go more frequently.

SO MUCH FUN at The Little Red Barn!…read more We just had the best playdate at The Little Red Barn Playground and I seriously can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcomed -- their customer service is incredible and you can tell they genuinely care about kids and families. Hours & Location: They're located right in Murrieta at 33050 Antelope Rd. Suite 210 -- easy to find and easy to enjoy! Their regular schedule has open play sessions most weekdays and Saturday sessions too -- check their calendar since Saturday/Sunday times vary a bit. Weekdays typically start around 9:00AM and go until around 5:00PM, with toddler times and open play blocks throughout the day. Ticket Prices & Fun Options: Play sessions are usually around $20 per child and siblings are discounted (under 12months often play free!) -- totally worth it for the fun and learning. They also offer special Montessori life skills classes like Little Chefs and Little Helpers (great for ages 2‑6!) for an added cost, and these are amazing for building confidence and real‑life skills. What We Loved: * There's a separate spot for babies and toddlers (0‑2-ish) -- super thoughtful for little explorers! * So many activities and pretend‑play areas that keep kids entertained and learning! * Clean facilities and bathrooms -- huge plus in my book! * They take dedicated cleaning breaks to sanitize toys and play areas, which made us feel safe and happy the whole time. Overall, this place is such a gem for young families -- playful, supportive, and unbelievably fun for littles! Whether you're looking for a fun outing, a learning play session, or a safe place for kiddos to burn energy -- this is it! 100% recommend!
