There are benches, a few tables, and lots of shady spots under trees for sitting. There are public restrooms and a parking lot with plenty of parking. The second time we came here was in July. There was broken/ missing play equipment and the splash pad was no longer in service, which was so disappointing given how hot it was outside and families rely on fun places like this to cool down.

There was a gazebo that provided shade. And a water fountain that had cold water. There was a large monument called " They passed this way," that listed the names of pioneers and people that are important in the history of Temecula I had a Great visit here .I didn't see any picnic tables but I did spot a family sitting at the gazebo having a picnic with plates on their laps. There is a huge grass field to the left of this picture and plenty of shaded tables to the right of the pictured area. There is a bathroom available but it is porta-potty style. The park is well kept and always clean. Due to the amount of mature trees in this park there is always plenty of shade no matter what time of day you are here. I can see this being great for parties but keep in mind it's street parking so it is limited on the amount of cars that'll fit. There are slides for all age groups as well as climbing areas for all difficulty levels. The disk swing in the center is a huge hit with all the kids and when more than a couple families are here there is always a line for it. One nice thing I have noticed, usually you can hear frogs chirping in the bushes. It's a really cool sound that makes you feel far outside the city and is really enjoyable:) Come check this park out for yourself, it'll quickly become a favorite!!

This park has a number of soccer fields that are well maintained. It's fun to see these young players learn good sportsmanship, engage in physical activity & develop their athletic skills while having fun. We're fortunate that Temecula has a robust parks & recreation program. We are also grateful to the coaches, who volunteer & dedicate their time to the youth soccer program. This park has held many other community events and is in a great location. Parking can be a bit tight so the game times are staggered. There are playgrounds and bridges as well as pickle ball courts. Overall it's a lovely park.

The hill echoes like Mother Nature's subwoofer just kicked in. Pro tip: Show up early unless you enjoy scavenger hunting for parking spots. Or pull the classic "park in some neighborhood and hope no one notices" move. Off-season? Sam Hicks Monument Park is located at the end of Front Street in Old Town Temecula. It is a shot…read morewalk to Oldtown and you can always find parking here. The park is about 2 acres acres and has a beautiful gazebo which is a really nice place to sit and relax. There are a ton of shade trees because Temecula in the summer can get very hot. The park has nice and clean picnic tables and BBQ grills. It is not usually crowded, but use of the BBQ area can get crowded for a kid's birthday or other family event. The entire are is very clean and you can bring your dog. Keep them on a leash. The restrooms are clean and safe. The Sam Hicks Monument (designed by Hicks) is made out of a 150 ton block of white granite. The monument was designed by Hicks to honor those who came through many years ago on their way to another California area to make a life. It is lovely. There is a super nice place area for kids and they will be busy about an hour. It is not huge, but wine/grape themed and super cute. It is a great place to park, go to the park and then walk over to Old Town.
