This is such a beautiful small memorial/friendship pond. I love that it's small enough to where you can stay in one spot, have your children walk around, and still be able to see them. I hope that eventually the informational plaques get restored, as most of them are worn out and illegible. It's the perfect place to have a picnic even if you do not bring any food, since there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the pond. read more

Really nice park/pond situated on the corner of Rancho Cal and Ynez and down the hill from OBC. It is serene, well kept and clean, like a mink version of Harveston Lake. There is an Asian themed decor throughout the park, statues and a veteran's memorial as well. It has never been really busy whenever we have gone, it's quiet, peaceful, calm and everyone is respectful. read more

I have driven by countless times and never stopped in. Finally decided to give it a try after checking out the local farmer's market. Had lunch there before heading over to the balloon festival. I posted plenty of pics so you can see the lay of the land. There are picnic tables with shade covering, and some with no covering. I also saw people sitting in the grass having a picnic lunch. There are sculptures and memorials to the US Military, and some other sculptures from Europe and beyond. Plenty of ducks and turtles walking around, or hanging out in the pond. Free parking lot. Free bathroom facility there as well. Located on a main road near the freeway. read more

Temecula has some interesting spots. Especially this one. What i love most are all the veterans names that are around this duck pond. This little pond/park is nice and clean. People come on dates here walking around the pond holding hands. I brought tomi here to play. Tomi has to be leashed so I don't like that but the pond is still very nice. The water is blue/green. Very weird color. Plenty of parking and plenty of ducks! I'm going to release my turtle here soon as he's too huge for his tank now. read more

Beautiful place to take pictures or have a picnic w the fam and just enjoy the ducks & scenery. Located on Rancho Cal Rd & Ynez right off the 15 fwy. Took my kids here last week for HoCo pics and they turned out beautiful. The background was gorgeous!! Lots of Asian themed structures like the giant torii that greets you at the entrance, guzei, and several pagodas around the pond. I like to walk around the pond since it's really beautiful and calming. The vibe is very peaceful and serene. *Pro-tip: Walk up the hill and get a dozen breadsticks from Oscar's Brewing Company. The breadsticks are fire (and yes, BETTER THAN Olive Garden breadsticks). You're welcome! read more

Beautiful escape from the city offered by the city. Enjoyable family friendly duck pond. There is a sidewalk encircling the pond where you can walk and enjoy the views. The ducks are not scared of visitors. Some people bring lettuce to feed them and I believe they have become accustomed to this. The water is clean and there are nice shady patches where the trees cover the walkway. You can walk to the brewery from the duck pond which is nice after a hot day to get a refreshing beer. read more

I would love to say my grandson insisted we go see the ducks, but it was me. I love ducks and turtles and they have plenty in a stunning pond in a super nice park. They even have clean bathrooms. What is there not to like--did I mention all the ducks. It is a park for everyone. No, it is not huge and no there is nothing for kids to play on, but there are ducks and turtles and beautiful grass and walking areas around the duck pond for all abilities. There is lovely sculptures there and things to read and a beautiful red Japanese overhand. It is just so nice. Parking is easy. The park is free. The beautiful trees and big grassy area is a super place to have a picnic. We will be sure to come prepared next time. There are signs that ask not to feed the ducks. Ya, I broke the rule--DUCKS!!!!. They are in the pond, they are on the grass, they like people. How could this sign have applied to me, I mean I am quite sure I love ducks more than most people. And I just broke the rule a little. You will love this place. Of course, if there is something just wrong with you and don't like ducks, stay away. We know duck lovers when we see them. Have the best time. read more

Super cute place to walk around and just look at ducks, the sculptures, and to take in the scenery. The address on Yelp and google took me to the other side of the fwy. Basically, if you're going up a hill, you're going the opposite way. Look for Ynez St. Or just look at google map, you won't miss it. Anyways, when we went, part of the trail was kinda flooded and we weren't able to make the whole loop, otherwise, I can tell that it would be a nice place to bring out that baby stroller and meet some ducks. Its a cute place for a photo op too. There is a small memorial landmark within the park too. It's a really cute place to visit if you're in the area. read more

If you love to watch birds and turtles then this is the place for you. There's not much shade around the water line but beyond the gated area you can sit and watch. I had some treats on me and the ducks knew who to follow once they saw FOOD! If you have small children they will have a fun time here. read more

It's not the most unique duck pond, but it has its quirks like strange mix of sculptures, and having a veterans memorial on the same site. I didn't quite understand the Japanese theme at the entrance area until I read about Temecula having a sister city in Japan, as well as in Netherlands. Place is smaller than how it appears in pictures. It's decent for a casual walk, but it's nothing that will make you break a sweat or anything. There are few benches along the paved path, and the area was fairly clean for a place with lots of ducks. It's rather noisy because it's located on the corner of Rancho California Road and Ynez Road. Parking is free, and you can enter from Ynez Road at Tierra Vista Road, or you can enter from Rancho California Road through the entrance for Oscar's Brewing Company (OBC) and loop around to the back. read more

In town and needed to take our dog somewhere to run. The park itself is on a busy street corner but it is well kept and clean. There is a big duck pond that is fenced off and there are gates all around to enter. You can walk around the pond in a cement pathway with grass all around. Perfect for walking your pooch. Though there is little passing room if your dog doesn't like other dogs and you may have to walk up onto the grass for a moment. There are signs to not feed the ducks but everyone seems to do so. May impact the very blue dyed water? There is a big grassy hill outside of the fence like that we spent most of our time at. There were no other dogs in the grassy hill area when we were there so we let ours off leash and played fetch for a bit to wind him down. Very pleasant- we even sat and had a meal on the grass there without anyone else coming by despite how centrally located it was. Would stop in here again if we needed a pit stop. There's also bathrooms here that are fairly clean and picnic benches. No playground for kiddos though. read more

Please RESPECT the park and pick up any trash you see to keep this place looking good for yourself others to enjoy :-). Well Date of Visit : April 2 , 2023 and I was in Temecula and my son wanted to go to a park and I heard of Temecula Duck Pond which Is not to big of a Park but it is a park for everyone !! As I was driving around Temecula I kind of searched for this park and it is not hard to find !! Well first there is parking around the park and the lake wraps around the park and it has lots of ducky's and all sorts of ducks laying around and in the lake !! Perfect for a walk or just to relax and enjoy !! Well the lake is sapose to be blue but I noticed the water was brown and probably the rain caused it to be brown !! So When we got here we walk around and it is a park good for taking pictures !! The beautiful trees and big green area of grass around the park is an great place to have a picnic or to just sit and grab a bite to eat even to relax !! There are a few benches for you to sit also !! Just across from this park there is an Shopping Center also !! So if your looking for a park to take your family or Friends please don't hesitate and check out this park !! You can even feed the ducks also !! Lots of fun for kids !! This is always a great place to come for a walk. There are many ducks and turtles. They also have statues around the pond... it is a nice place to come and relax. There are many areas to take nice pictures. My favorite part of this duck pond is the statue that is dedicated to all fallen heroes. No fishing or feeding the ducks. read more

We live close to the Temecula Duck Pond and are able to walk over. There is, however, plenty of parking. Today, New Year's Day, is a wonderful time to take a walk around the pond. It is warm and sunny with quite a few visitors. Some are just walking around but a few are picnicing and have towels down on the ground. Many are wearing masks! It only takes about ten minutes to walk all the way around. This is my kind of exercise. Our small dog just loves it. Several ducks look hopefully at us as birds are circling overhead. If you are able, visit the Duck Pond. A good time will be had by all. read more

I've been here several times before - without even thinking of writing a review. Despite the often inescapable loud rush of traffic and also sometimes lawn moving machines working, this city park pond is still a relatively peaceful place to come (sit, walk, eat, and spend a little time - alone, with other people, and/or with some ducks and geese - by the water, under a tree, on the grass, or at a covered picnic table). Restrooms are available - as are also a variety of sculptures and Japanese themed "objects". At one end of the park is a small memorial to "locals" who died while serving in the military. Despite signs prohibiting both, people still fish and feed the ducks. The many video cameras in the parking lot area seem to mainly monitor vehicle license plates - and NOT do much else. read more

Don't let the rather unimaginative name fool you - Temecula Duck Pond is one heck of a nice place to relax at. We noticed the park when we were having lunch at Pat & Oscar's, so we decided to check it out. The place is gorgeous, no question about it... it's got a pleasant vibe, with a huge pond and a couple of fountains going. The ducks go out to whomever's feeding them, and we even spotted a few turtles swimming lazily on the surface. There's a couple of sculptures here of note: one is of a family on a bicycle struggling forward through the wind and rain, which is supposed to symbolize the country's perseverance after 9/11. The other one - and more poignant - is of a soldier writing home, and surrounding it are representations of letters home from soldiers' letters home from each war the U.S. was involved in up to the present. The staircase up to the memorial is made of bricks, each having the name of a service member that has passed away in the line of duty. Seeing this made me think of the active duty folks I work with, and I told myself that I would make more of an effort to say "thank you" to every one of them from now on. Looking forward to bringing my girl here more often! read more

Have a toddler to keep occupied? Want to stop in after a meal at Pat & Oscar's? This is a nice stop to make! I've been here a few times and making sure to bring some food for the ducks (don't give them bread, it makes their tummy explode!). My 2-year old daughter loves chasing the ducks into the pond. They like to relax on the grass in the shade under the tree, but my daughter insists that they get in the water. There's a nice, pretty fountain in the middle of the pond and a nice little walk way for you to stroll around the pond. There's also a walk way that leads up to Pat & Oscar's restaurant. In fact, Pat & Oscar's outdoor seating overlooks this pond, it's actually a pretty view! The walkway from Pat & Oscar's to the pond isn't really stroller friendly, but we managed. Make sure to bring a blanket or a seat for you to sit on, the benches are pretty dirty and can get pretty hot in the sun. read more

Very beautiful park, relaxing and highly recommend to see. Great for morning walking! It has the duck pond! There are a lot of ducks. There is a sign that says don't feed the ducks but people still do! There is a big parking lot surrounding it, Pat and oscars is right next to the pond. What I really like is the gated area before getting in closer to the pond, Its great so kids dont have have the access to the water immediately. Still parents need to watch because once youre inside the gate area, then it is close to the water. Regardless, beautiful park and will visit more often . read more

Took the family here because we heard a rumor that it was a great place to catch Pokemon. Turns out, the rumor was spot on. There are a bunch of poke stops and a gym around the pond. For anyone not into Pokemon, the pond/park itself is nice enough to visit on its own. There were a couple people fishing, and quite a few families strolling/playing throughout the park. I personally did not see anyone catch an actual fish, so cannot confirm there are fish to be had. What I can confirm is that there were several people ignoring the "Do not feed the ducks" signs, posted in plain sight. This, along with the couple piles of dog poop we almost stepped in, was the main reason I could not rate my experience 5 stars. That said, it is not the pond's fault that some of its visitors are inconsiderate and think rules do not apply to them, so I also could not rate them any lower than 4 stars. Overall, I would rate Temecula Duck Pond 4.5 stars, with 5 star potential. read more

A clean and rather safe haven for our feathered friends. If you have a loaf of bread then you'll be able to satisfy every one of them. We walked across the street from Marie Callender's and between the 3 of us (the boyfriend, his brother, and myself) had a relaxing few minutes just throwing bread in the pond for the ducks to fight over. I like the duck pond because of the grassy areas, some shade and the ducks. Sometimes the ducks can be a little aggressive or they will not move out of your way if you're walking on the sidewalk. This may not be the best place for young kids because they could easily fall in the pond. Also you may run into teenagers clowning around trying to push each other in the pond . They do have a few table where you can sit down, eat and enjoy the view. It seems to be pretty popular on the weekends so keep that in mind. The view is really nice if you are at Pat and Oscars. The walkways are filled with duck poop, but what do u expect. We're at a duck pond.
