But the staff was on it and got things back up and running quickly. They even made good and credited us above and beyond what we lost during down time. It was the perfect time to refuel anyway. It was an elegant room adorned with festive decor, which had 3 round tables, each table seating 10. The food was absolutely delicious and served buffet style. The meal included a free glass of wine. Our choice of wine was the White Cabernet Sauvignon. We're not wine connoisseurs but we liked the taste. We aren't sophisticated wine drinkers at all. There were fun raffles, with a variety of prizes. Hubby won a bottle of Prosecco, we were happy about that! Our special guest was Rosie Wilson, the matriarch of the Wilson family. She was a very sweet & gracious lady. TVWS presented her with a vase with a bouquet of flowers. Mick Wilson came in and accepted a beautiful plaque that TVWS presented to him and his family. He was a very engaging speaker and TVWS is looking forward to plan future events either him. We thoroughly enjoyed this luncheon and all the very friendly members. I thank Sandy Neal, current president, for convincing me to join. My husband and I plan to renew our membership for 2024. Hopefully, when I retire next year we can become more involved and become familiar with the great wineries surrounding us! This year we hope to put in a small vineyard so the students can grow their own grapes. Our yearly dues are $35 and our average monthly event is $35/40 including good, wine and event. TVWS is the original society formed when Temecula started their wineries. Come joint in the fun while helping to raise scholarships for our area's students.

We attended a private event where Paint and Sip was the main activity, and it was SO much fun!…read more Everything we needed was provided right then and there. The tables and chairs were already set up with all of the paints and supplies, so all we had to do was sit down, relax, and start painting. The instructor and his helper were both great! The instructor walked us through the painting step by step in a way that was really easy to understand. What I especially appreciated was that they actually walked around to each table to make sure everyone was following along before moving on. I've been to painting parties where the instructor goes so quickly that you're trying to keep up the entire time, so I really liked the more personal approach here. The instructor was also lots of fun and kept the experience entertaining and lighthearted. Everyone was able to be creative and just enjoy themselves, regardless of their painting skills. I had such a good time that I would definitely attend another Paint and Sip, and next time I'd love to check out their actual location. Highly recommend for a fun paint night with friends, your kids, or even a special someone. Such a fun activity and five stars all the way!

In the four years since I first saw this program, the only Cabaret at the Merc I missed is one night was when I was sick. This is a stellar program. There are so many things great about it. The talent is fantastic and the producers wonderfully match the music to the vocalists and band. The vocalists come from a variety of places and backgrounds that show the quality of their professionalism. The band is top notch. Leigh, the piano player, is an amazing pianist who adds a tremendous touch to the program. Will, one of the guitar players, will leave you craving for more. Not to play second place, the venue is part of what makes this program so fun. It is a very intimate setting, where there is frequent banter between the audience and the performers. The feel is light-hearted and you can tell the performers truly enjoy participating. The fun of sitting a few feet from extremely talented people and taking in beautiful music is an experience. Each theme presented stands on its own and range from Broadway to rock to soul. Am I over-the-top for this program.....yes!
