Karin has taken care of us countless times, whether it's a quiet Monday or an absolutely packed one due to the events at the town hall across the street, and they have always been warm, patient, and accommodating. I actually celebrated my birthday here because it's one of my favorite spots. I am part of the large group that one of the recent negative reviews is referring to. It happened immediately after the USA FIFA match, and the restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it. Despite that, Karin still went out of their way to accommodate our requests that normally wouldn't be possible due to the rush, including trying to help with separate tabs when they'd already explained that large groups would likely need to stay on one check. As for things like grabbing water, silverware, plates, or chili flakes...our table had already gotten those before a majority of the group arrived. It's a casual pizzeria, on one of their busiest days ever. Setting and cleaning up the table (especially when seated outside) is not a problem for our group as we do it every week. Which is why it's upsetting that we opened our spot to someone that left such a nasty review. What stood out to me wasn't poor service. It's that despite how overwhelming it must have been to work post-FIFA, Karin was able to take orders, bartend, serve food, and close out checks with professionalism. Sometimes no matter how much effort someone puts in, not everyone leaves happy. The pizza is fantastic! I love showing up every week and trying what new slice they have come up with (in the year that I've been coming here there legit hasn't been a repeat). The atmosphere is great and the staff, especially Karin, have earned our loyalty over the past year. We'll absolutely continue coming back.

The reason my friends and I keep coming back is the main bartender Karin, who's always so adept at managing large parties w folks coming/going, including being honest with us about if there is time to split checks or order as a table, a pretty common thing at a smaller spot. I was here after recent World Cup game and had great service (compared to the review below by Paula P)! I was actually at the table where Paula came and sat and will say that the majority of our table were provided exceptional service, so it was a shock to read that other review of the same experience. Anyways, I highly recommend Ananas especially their special pizzas, which are often so g

The crust has that perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and the toppings are generous without turning the slice into a mess. You can tell they actually care about what goes out of the kitchen. The pizza…read moreis very good, with plenty of flavor and a quality that makes it worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a good pie in downtown Seattle, Rocco's delivers where it matters most. The service is good overall, and the staff do a nice job. However, keep in mind that Belltown can get pretty busy on weekends, and Rocco's isn't necessarily the place to go if you're looking for a quick meal. When the neighborhood is packed, expect things to take a little longer. My biggest criticism is the price. It feels a bit expensive to pay premium prices for pizza when the atmosphere leans more toward a bar than a traditional sit-down restaurant. The cocktails also fall into the now-standard Seattle price range of $18-$25, which can make a night out add up quickly. Overall, I'd give Rocco's four out of five stars. The pizza is very good, the service is solid, and it's a fun option if you're spending time in Belltown. Just be prepared for a potentially slower experience on busy nights and prices that are on the high side. It's worth a visit, especially if you prioritize good pizza over a quick or inexpensive meal.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

There's a specific traffic pattern you're supposed to follow when ordering which I didn't realize. But I could immediately sense the frustration from the employee behind the counter and that attitude kept on through the entire experience. The employee was rushing, didn't give me a chance to ask for the salad before turning their back to put the pizza in the oven. When they called my number and asked for the salad, their response was 'Is that it? Is that all you're going to want?! Then when I asked for the receipt the employee aggressively pulled the receipt before handing it to me. At that point, I didn't want to bother to ask for utensils or napkins or a bag to carry my items. As for the food the pizza was mediocre at best. The salad was better.
