I am a huge fan of this pizza place because most of the time, the pizza is on point and quite good. The slices are generally the best way to eat pizza here as occasionally, if you buy a whole pie, it's not quite as good for some reason. And I'm not sure why the difference exists between getting slices and getting a whole pie. This pizza reminds me a bit of the New York style pizza I had growing up in the Bronx. It's not nearly as bubbling with hot drippy cheese or delicious sliced sausages but almost as tasty most times. They have some unique toppings combinations, some are excellent, and other combos are pretty basic with not much taste. A standout thing I have noticed is that all the employees that I have encountered are super nice and very helpful.

Zooming around Edmonds and the Shoreline-Seattle borderlands today, Monday 16 October 2023, I thought it would be fun to do something I had not done before at a Pagliacci Pizza - dine in-restaurant solo and get a slice of pizza from the pizza bar. Pulling into the parking lot, all three spots were open. I could see workers busy beyond the dining area, visible through the windows of the restaurant front. Entering the restaurant, I found the pizza bar straight ahead inside the entrance and by the cashier. Scanning the pizzas, I decided to go with a slice one of my favorite pizzas from Pagliacci, the spicy chicken. The worker manning the counter got the slice ready and took my payment. I went with dining in-restaurant, choosing a spot facing out towards the parking area. My slice of spicy chicken pizza was warm and flavorful. The peppers provided their spice, the chicken chunks were tender, and the cheeses were melt in my mouth without providing too much tug in the form of a cheese pull. Texturally the crust was fluffy without being crispy or burned. The pizza was thin and could bend/fold easily for those who eat their pizza that way. Very pleased with the slice. A condiments, napkins, and tray return station was located approximately across from the cashier by the entrance/exit. While the parking spots out front of the restaurant were large, maneuvering out of the spots may be difficult depending on traffic, if cars are parked in the other sports, and how much daylight there is. Watch out for the curb at the far side of the parking lot from the traffic lights. Might have managed to bump into that twice, when I was first learning to drive and again tonight :). Night driving in Seattle in October.

How I heard of this place: A Seattle staple, pizza sold by the slice, I can't even remember the first time I learned of Pagliacci, but it seems to be the go-to for children's birthday parties, and quick meals to go. Type of cuisine: Pizza. Salads, pasta, bread, cookies & gelato also available. Ambiance: A small stand-alone shop, this pizza place offers limited seating, booths and a barquette at the window looking out onto the small parking lot out front. Order at the counter and await your pick-up for dine-in or take-away. What I ordered: A slice of pepperoni - a veritable blanket of pepperoni over mozzarella and our seasoned tomato sauce, and a slice of The Italiano - spinach, roasted garlic, mozzarella, fontina and parmesan over a crushed Italian tomato base finished with a sprinkle of sea salt. What I loved: Freshly baked pizza, thinner crusts and a gentle yet generous portion of toppings. Why I loved it: Friendly staff, delicious pizzas, and being able to return for free slices on Valentine's Day! Cost: Average to high

Really good, professional service--the guy who took our order. Our food was a different story. Not like I remember the Pagliacci on Dibble Ave. The crust was equal to or worse than a frozen pizza. Ours was definitely overdone. For what we paid, we should have stuck with our tried and true Soprano's pizza. Tomorrow I am going to call and see about getting a refund. (1) overcooked (2) disproportionate ingredients distribution (3) cheap with the toppings (4) burnt taste (5) standard crust is way to thin. Definitely not worth the $40 for two small pizzas. Never again. No offense. My roommate and I agreed that even a frozen pizza would have been better, and it should never be that way, but I guess it is.

    Pagliaccio Salad

Usually love this place but tonight's Pagliaccio salad had unwashed pieces of lettuce in it. And I ate some of it before I noticed it.... Reported this to the dispatch main line (it was a delivery order) and they gave a refund which is something but this is a nasty health risk. Someone wasn't doing their job.

One of my favorite pizza spots. Different tasting than your pizza chain, they have great quality toppings along with their thin and crunchy yet not too crunchy crust. Definitely worth the try!

Pizza was super dope! The crust was unbelievably amazing, and pepperoni was mere perfection. The pizza - simply put - was off the chain. I enjoyed a bottle of root beer for my beverage. I also had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Cookies were definitely official. They were soooo yummy. Great pizza spot at a decent price.

Always a favorite. Is a bit spending however any really good pizza in Seattle will be. We ordered 2 medium pizzas and one soda and it cost $50. Like I always remembered. Favorite aspect is truly roast garlic with perfect mixture of cheeses and red sauce. Can't get enough. Have to order a whole pizza to enjoy garlic. Otherwise more economical to order by the slice.

This is their chicken salad and limp maya beverage from Italy.

Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

If that line is intimidating or wet (think rain!) then duck inside to Pizza and Pasta Bar for a delicious meal. While there we met the owners Bruno and Goli who were helping out behind the counter. They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
