The quality of ingredients stand out at Pad Thai Too. Their meals taste fresh and is above the average Thai food restaurant quality in Maine. My order was fulfilled quickly and the front desk folks are always kind and pleasant. The portions are generous and the peanut sauce is an absolute must for any pad Thai orders. I also ordered a Thai iced tea which was DELICIOUS. The only down sides were the chicken was a bit dry but all the other ingredients and moister from the noodles made the dryness hardly noticeable. The other thing is they only do take out no dine in orders. Food is all reasonably priced as well. I definitely recommend stopping in here and grabbing a bite to eat. read more

Don't believe the online menu. It's very old and they have no lobster dishes. And they do not have inside dining. However, They will prepare a take-out meal for you and welcome you to stay and use their tables. Do it. The food was very good. Pad Thai had its delicate flavor and Drunken Noodles delightfully spicy. Appetizers were wonderful. Try the mermaid. I'll be trying to make those at home. read more

This place is hands down the best Thai food we have had in Maine! The basil duck fried rice is absolutely amazing, pad Thai is on point. The service is top notch, friendly very welcoming. read more

Not a 4 star Thai restaurant. Not authentic Not friendly Overpriced. If you are traveling up 95 looking for Thai food, I would look elsewhere. I think those 4 star reviews are bogus. read more

Delicious Thai food with ability to "meter" the hot sauce relative to your taste buds. I found a "3" to be the right level of heat / spice and I generally like food spicy read more

I was in the area for lunch and ordered pad Thai with chicken. Service was good. Takeout only. Truthfully this is only a 2 to 2 1/2 star experience. I did not find the pad Thai to have much flavor and oddly enough watery? For just under $16 with tax I would be hard-pressed to try them again as much as I enjoy Thai food. I guess I owe them a second chance but I eat Thai food often so the bar is high. read more

EVERYTHING they create here is with attention to detail and flavors. I discovered them 6 years ago and still cannot get enough of their food. I love how creative they get, and it all tastes amazing. They put forth the effort to make specials and different offerings like no other Thai restaurant I've eaten at. I wish some other Maine Thai (& other cuisines) restaurants would take note. This isn't your average Thai food, not even above average, it's beyond. It's truly a treat and worth our 1 hour round trip to get takeout. The fireballs are super addicting, can't get enough! But everything has been tasty and dream worthy. Tip: we often order enough for 2 days worth of food, which actually turns into 3 days worth of food. Also, if you're ill from any kind of cold, get their spicy items or ask for it spicier. This along with some of their ginger and garlic dishes & soups really help me feel SO much better every time! Thank you all for working so hard to produce a delicious meal every time! PS- if you only eat Pad Thai whenever you order from here- you're missing out (& you might not be "qualified" to rate Thai restaurants). Most true Thai restaurants focus on the dishes that require several ingredients and more detailed steps. Having said this, every restaurant has their off days due to multiple factors. Always give a place at least 3 tries. read more

This is one of Maine's top Thai eateries in my book. Menu more interesting than most places. Lots of good appetizers and soups/salads. The fish cakes are fantastic with a sweet-spicy sauce topped with plenty of cilantro, crushed peanuts and sliced cukes. The crispy fried dumplings are to die for with their sweet garlic sauce. The duck bowl, crispy duck salad, basil fried rice, koh kret pad Thai and baby boy Choi stir fry are my favorite dishes, but everything I've tried is fabulous! Gets busy so it can be a little slow sometimes but it's worth the wait. read more

I love it, I love it, I love it. I'm a sucker for good Thai and these guys are the absolute best on this side of the Kennebec River. Their menu is diverse and delicious! They are my go to for Pad Thai! Great customer service!

This was the best Thai food I ever had. It is soo good, and one of the things I missed most when I left Colby. Living in California, I would think that I would have found a comparable Thai place by now, but nope hasn't happened. I'm still thinking about Pad Thai in Waterville after all these years. Nothing I miss more than ordering from Pad Thai with a bunch of friends on a cold snowy night and waiting over an hour for it to come since everyone else seemed to have the same idea. Or memories when the delivery guys mom wouldn't let him drive out in the snow. The cabs we took to get the food, trying to dig cars out of snow in our determination to get our Pad Thai. As for the food itself, the chicken red curry was soo good, not as creamy as a lot of other red curries, which I like. And the people here were always very accommodating when I asked for no peas. The Duck Ped Choo Chee, omg it was so amazing, the crispy fried skin of the duck and the perfectly flavorful curry. The pad thai here was also excellent. Spicy is very spicy here, I remember they had a star system, I usually got the two or three stars. Four stars would hurt for me to eat. The prices for this place was also excellent. I miss eating here so much, there was a point where me and my roommates were ordering from here once a week. Those were good times. read more

Pad Thai Too was the spot when I lived in Waterville as a college student. As a native New Yorker, I have yet to find a Thai food place that compares to Pad Thai Too in NYC (maybe it's because of all the college memories? idk...). I've had serious thoughts of driving 7 hours for some Pad Thai Too more than once. I just have two questions: 1. What's your secret? 2. Do you deliver to NYC? Seriously, try some Pad Thai Too if you're in the area! read more

The food and service here is excellent and during COVID they have gone above and beyond to serve their customers.

I guess that I should be grateful that there is any Thai food in Maine, at all. The space is generic. Our waitress announced that she had just started on the job. I believed her. She was earnest, but disorganized to negligent. The most interesting part of the meal was the Hitachino Nest Beer. The white ale was light and a bit sweet. I followed it up with a bottle of Sam Adams. The fresh roll appetizers were, in the words of one diner, " a salad alternative." They were vegetables and tofu in light wrappers. The entrees were almost, but not quite, properly executed. The Yum Nuur, masaman chicken and pad Thai weren't quite prepared or spiced the same as other Thai restaurants that I have visited over the years. I guess one can allow a bit of license for the palate of an individual chef, but I just wasn't feeling the love. I would only eat here again if I were desperate for a change of pace. read more

Very long wait for food--over an hour after ordering and the food for our table was not served together. Very cold in the dining room. I heard multiple temperature complaints and guests were all wearing coats. I will not return. read more

The food here is great, especially considering that it's Waterville. For pad Thai staples, it's reliably good. Some of my favorite things: Dumpling Pad Thai- yum! Chicken dumplings on top of a delicious pad Thai Khao Soi- a soup-based noodle dish with all the right combos: sweet, spicy, crunchy, noodly! Green curry with chicken- a classic and especially good when you're not in the mood for noodles However, the service leaves something to be desired. Every time I order takeout, they tell me it'll be a ridiculously long wait-like an hour to an hour and a half- and when I show up to get the food, it's not yet ready and I have to wait another 20 or so minutes. Wait times for dining in house or delivery are not so horrendous, but still not great. You will definitely be hungry by the time you get your food! read more

I'm new to the area and wanted to give it a chance. They forgot my rice and didn't answer the phone when I called. Grocery store microwave rice it is. The fresh rolls were good. Chicken with cashew nuts had white meat chicken and a lot of cashews. It also had canned pineapple, watery sauce, and no spice. Duck pad Thai was as advertised - little garnish, no veggies. It wasn't terrible, but I won't likely be back. read more

Second time here. Enjoyed it last time, and since we needed lunch and we're driving through (live a hour from here) stopped again. It was better than the last time. I had the Pad Krapow, one son had the Big Bowl, and the other son had a duck curry dish (can't remember what he ordered). We all enjoyed our meals and felt full upon leaving. read more

Nostalgia! I was up at Colby for the weekend and ordered takeout. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the pad Thai, fresh Thai rolls, curry, and spicy green pepper stir fry were just like I remembered (from back in 2004!). I brought it to friends in my way home and was the total hero. I'll always love Pad Thai (Too!) and love coming back. Great food, great people, great classic Waterville spot :) read more

Of course it's take out only during all this.. but they seemed to not include taste. The drunken noodle was the highlight and adequate. The stir frys lack seasoning. Portions are tiny and the soups bland. There are better Thai restaurants in the area. read more

Standard kitschy decor to spice up a standard restaurant. We ordered the pad thai which, although a specialty, seemed weak - little taste and a very thin sauce. Service was decent. read more

Fantastic food. The low star count comes from smaller portions relative to the price. In house service is average at best. Be prepared to wait for your food. If you think take out will help with the time factor, think again. Many Times when we have tried to call for a take out we are told 60-90 minutes. Crazy... It's not worth it. read more

I went back again recently but was pretty disappointed with the meal. I ordered a lunch special: green curry w/ tofu and a side of soup. Price-wise, the lunch special is a pretty decent value. However, the flavors were really lacking. The tofu itself was as good as I remembered (very good!), but the curry itself was flavorless; it was extremely watery and lacked even a hint of herb or spice. I'll probably give them another try if someone suggests it for a lunch or dinner meet-up, but I don't see myself coming back here on my own. read more

Horrible service. The server was very sassy and it took over 2 hours to get our food and when asking what was going on with the wait time it was a very rude response. Opposed to the food being decent I would have walked out. If I could do no stars as well I would because of the service read more

I just got back from 3 weeks in Thailand and I appreciate Pad Thai Too more and more. Owner and chef here is Thai and recipes are dead on, many dishes here are better than Thailand due to better meats available here in Maine! That's my opinion. Larb, stir fries, yum salads, tum-yum soup, curries, Pad-Thai and Pad-See ew are fantastic and consistent. There is no better Thai beer than Singha and though not draft, they have it in bottles. This is still my favorite restaurant in Waterville, consistent tasty food and friendly service. Always crowded and closes early, so get here early. read more

Excellent fresh food. I wish I could say I've tried a lot of items but as I crave the beef salad From here I have to have it every time...it is so delicous...the steak charred and juicy, the salad crunchy and the dressing is so bright and tart and fresh...the sort of food you dream about. Pad Thai Too has extremely fresh and vibrant dishes that are presented beautifully. I'm never disappointed no matter what I order but confess that I keep going back to the chicken pad Thai because it's far and away the best pad Thai I've ever had. Favorite appetizers are the golden triangles and dumplings. Unfortunately they don't have a good Tom Kha and that's a big disappointment. Staff are welcoming and attentive. It can get busy and loud. read more

So this is the place to go for Thai food in Waterville. A a real native New Yorker (Upper Westside) let me start by saying there is No way this place rivals any Thai restaurant in the City. I got take-out tonight with my family and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The food had great flavors and it delivered on spice, like we wanted. We ordered the Lemongrass Soup, Panang Curry, House Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles. None of them were the best I've ever had, but were all quite good. In Waterville, that gets five stars. *Take-out took about an hour, so plan ahead if you are ordering take-out.* My parents moved to Waterville about a year ago and they hadn't tried Pad Thai Too. They had heard some mixed things from friends but based on the Yelp reviews, I was able to convince them to try a new place. They are glad they did. They had tried the other place in town and were very disappointed. They expected it to be what they call "Maine spice"--AKA mild-- so I ordered 4-stars on spice, it was i bit too hot for my mother. It was still a bit less than I would have liked, but I am freaky with spicy foods. Getting 3-stars may be best if you like a medium-to-hot spice level. Everything we had was vegan. They don't even use fish sauce at all in the restaurant! WIN! Their menu even mentions accommodating vegetarians and vegans on it. They were happy to leave the egg out of the noodle dishes. I haven't seen that anywhere else in Waterville (though my scope is limited). The only two things I would change are; 1) adding a bit more veggies to the dishes. They were more scant than I am accustomed to. Also, when I have to choose between veggies and tofu in dishes, I always choose tofu so I missed the basic veggies. 2) On the menu, they state that ordering more than 5-stars will cost $.10 per star, which seems silly. Overall, when I want to go out to eat in Waterville, this will be my choice. Its vegan friendly and everyone will be happy. It's also the best Thai food you will find in this part of the world. FYI on the Drunken Noodle: it is made with skinny rice noodles rather than the the wide noodles I am used to in this dish. It was still good, it is just texture of rice noodle, but it is a different texture than you may be used to. read more
