Small family run restaurant at the airport and they are phenomenal! Dedicated parking just to the side of the location for easy in and out, especially if grabbing for take out. Friendly welcome plenty of seating to choose from between tables and standard bar along with window bar seating. Plenty of options to try on their menu and I wanted to try something fresh so started with spring rolls. Perfect combo or protein and veggies to hit the spot. The spicy pad Thai was next and was an awesome combo of fresh veggies, protein and noodles. While both probably could have been eaten in single sitting, wanted to enjoy tomorrow as well so packaged up to bring half home. Bit of a drive so had to enjoy a good Thai coffee as well. The absolute BEST chicken pad Thai I have ever had!!! I flew to Augusta frequently and made sure always grab some pad Thai for lunch or dinner!! It is simply the best... the texture, flavor, quality and large quantity of food was perfect! The crab rangoons were also delicious. On vacation in ME and ventured to Augusta ME airport where the restaurant named Thai With Us was located. To my ignorance- I thought how good can Thai food be at an airport. I was absolutely blown away beyond my expectations. I have traveled in Asia. I have yet to discover a more authentic menu and exceptional homemade tastes in New England than I did here. The aromas, freshness and memorable bites of each dish. I was flooded with the memories of my travels and it wasn't only the food I loved but how it transported me back to Bali, Indonesia. Excellent Thai place at Augusta State Airport (AUG). Tables were all occupied. So we sat at window-side counter and enjoyed watching airport activities while we dined. Had the pan fried pork dumplings, fresh rolls, tofu with cashew and ginger duck. Everything was delicious and service was fast, even though it was busy and they are super friendly. Recent visit for lunch as I had heard great things about this restaurant. The aesthetic is beautiful and bright. You can also watch the planes landing and taking off. The waitress came over quickly and was attentive through the whole meal. We ordered Crab Rangoon as an appetizer. It arrived but they were barely warm. They were very sweet and the majority was cream cheese. I had the Paradise Thai and my friend had the Cashew Nut with Shrimp. She had a 3 in spicy (1-5) and said it was very hot. She loved the dish. My Paradise Thai arrived hot. The shrimp were rubbery and that is the best thing I can say about this dish. I put it off to the side and the waitress asked if I liked it and I said no. She just smiled and took it away. No comp. I should have sent it back right away so lesson learned. So this experience was a hit for my friend and a big miss for me. Went for lunch and ordered a veggie curry with tofu, 5-star hot. The food was tasty and fresh but quite mild and for me, not the bargain you get from the closest Thai on Western Avenue. There, the lunch special is much larger, they are more generous with both tofu and heat, and they include spring rolls with lunch. It is also the best airport restaurant I have ever been to. The opener was a shrimp spring roll which was so fresh and light. The peanut chili sauce added the right amount of sweetness and spice to the veggies and shrimp. The Yellow Curry was perfection with just the right amount of spice, chicken, and veg. We ended up here because everything in town had a really long wait. Boy, am I glad that happened. There is definitely some hesitation as we follow the directions to see a restaurant that is basically inside the airport. But, have no fear it has its own entrance. The only thing that I shared with the airport are the restrooms and the walls. We were lucky enough to get a table right away. While we were sitting at our table for five we did witness many tables get turned away because they were full. The service was great. Our server was pleasant, friendly, and very accommodating. The food was cooked fresh. And we enjoyed all of our dishes. We had fried wontons, pork dumplings, chicken salad, and the curry. We ordered everything without any spice. But, I will be honest and say the curry without any spice was still rather spicy. The phrase "hidden gem" gets thrown around a lot. Often underserved. This is not one of those cases. I am genuinely angry a Thai restaurant this good is in Augusta because I simply don't have enough excuses to come here. The staff are all lovely and the food is authentic and delicious. This is a brand new Thai restaurant right next to the airport. We did takeout last night and it was fantastic! Honestly, the best Tom Yum Soup I've ever had - super flavorful and comforting. I had veggie Pad Thai and it was loaded with veggies, not just a few sad looking ones like you usually get. Hubby had the Garlic Pepper Chicken Stir Fry and loved it as well. This is a great find while we were passing by. Unusual location at the small airport but the menu was quite extensive. We had great food and service from this little gem.
