Wei-Li continues to impress me each time my wife and I have dinner there. The food feels fresh and never frozen. The service staff are amazing and will even provide advice on how to reheat the food you are taking home. I am a sucker for the General Tso chicken and there's is the best around. It's a lightly battered chicken with a sauce that is the perfect consistency that it sticks to the chicken and does not run when you pick it up with chopsticks. My wife loves their dumplings in both steamed and pan friend and she is VERY picky when it comes to dumplings. I may have given them four stars in the past, but they are very deserving of 5-stars as the quality of the food and service far exceed that of any other americanized Chinese food establishment in all of Androscoggin county! read more

Dissatisfied, disappointed and angry with my online pick up order. Not quality food--- the teriyaki beef was tough; the 4 crab Rag and 4 tiny fried dumplings were soggy, the Mongolian Beef portion was small, barely had any onions and the sauce lacked flavor. I was told it wasn't ready yet when I got there about five minutes early than the quoted time, and they had it ready on time, but it all was barely warm despite being in a metallic tray and in a bag. My ride home was less than 10 minutes away. I did not like the condiments flavors. Definitely not worth the $45 plus price tag. read more

Second time we have been there and both times have been great! The food is awesome and you get a decent amount for the price. They have just a little different way of presenting your food options, which makes it a little unique, for example...yes, the Pu Pu Platter is the traditional serving dish with the little fire in the center - love that - as a lot of Chinese restaurants don't serve that way anymore. And their boxes! Love that idea. You start with your main selection and then choose from the list they provide on the menu, different things you would like to be served in your box. It's also a very unique atmosphere as well. You can be casual, semi dressed up or even formal. They provide an inside setting that you could make this a very low key event to a romantic night out. And the service is awesome. They greet you upon arrival and seat rather quickly and the pace of being waited on and along with food arrival, is balanced. Oh and the quality and taste of the food is spot on, not greasy, dried out or chewy, or that weird taste from one piece of chicken you question it - nope, none of that. I hate to say this but we (party of two) went to Wei-Li and although the service was kind, prompt and amazing the food was not. Ordered a dinner box and the beef teriyaki tasted sour/rotten. The soup and entire meal was a disappointment, order steamed dumplings and the coating was cold and hard. The chicken was cold and hard and it was very busy that the very kind waitress was clearly over worked. We won't be coming back but again but nothing to do with the service only the food. read more

First and last visit . 5 stars for Mongolian beef and super wonton noodle soup . 1 star for tasteless fried rice and egg rolls . And negative stars for cleanliness and no air circulation . 3 star for service . I felt cat fished from what I read and saw online. Hard to decide between 3.0 and 4.0 so I rounded up. For Auburn, ME this is pretty decent Americanized Chinese food. The service was very friendly, the portions were excellent and reasonably priced. Some of the dishes were hit or miss, though. My wife enjoyed her beef and snow peas, and I liked my General Tsao chicken quite a bit. The pork fried rice was decent but not noteworthy. The eggrolls were disappointing...obviously frozen and then undercooked. Overall a pleasant experience and would come back again if we were in the mood for this kind of Chinese food. read more

Arguably one the best Chinese food restaurant you'll find in Maine. Family owned business with good values and the great service! Finally found an amazing Chinese restaurant in Maine! I ordered chicken Lo mein dinner with fried rice and steamed dumplings. You can order online with a lot of options to customize, including "healthy sauce", which I don't really know what that is but I didn't feel like a slug after eating American Chinese food for once! There is no delivery option right now, there's a large parking lot making it easy to pick up in the snow. I'll definitely be back. read more

My wife and I, and friends, went back for a third, time, in a month or so! Great Mongolian beef with fried rice and chicken fingers and wontons. The beef tasted like it was cooked on an open grill. We have gotten take out at Wei Li many times and have always thought it was great. Yesterday, we chose the Sesame Chicken for the first time and it was inedible. We found it to be hard and almost impossible to chew. It could best be described as trying to eat Legos. Hard and VERY salty, with a burnt taste. The appetizers were OK, but we found the spring rolls to be very greasy. We did not reheat this meal since it was hot upon arrival home so the Sesame Chicken was ill-prepared by the chef. Each dinner box cost 19.95 and was charged extra for a spring roll since we don't care for dumplings, which are a dinner box choice. So basically, we did not eat the Sesame Chicken or the spring rolls and paid over 20 dollars for two Chicken Fingers, two Crab Rangoon, and fried rice. Not sure we will try them again. read more

Possibly our favorite Chinese food places in the L/A area - and there are many! The food here is always fresh, flavorful, colorful and delicious, and served by friendly and attentive staff. On my most recent visit, my son ate the sushi and I had the chicken and pea pod lunch special. We split an order of crab rangoons as an app, which could have been hotter and crispier, but were delicious and tasted like real crabmeat. The teryaki beef skewer was to die for - this is by far my favorite tidbit here at Wei-Li, and I always order it. My chicken and pea pods were good, and I had enough left over for another meal the following day. My son devoured all of his sushi before I could even mooch a piece! He loved it. One caution - sometimes the wait for delivery and pick-up can be considerable, especially on holidays. Plan accordingly. read more

Wei-Li is some of the best Chinese food in Maine and ooooooooooohhhhh how I miss it: nothing in the Greater Portland area compares. Is that too much to ask? Why do you have to be so far away, Auburn? Dining in (enjoy the videos projected onto an entire wall) or taking out (enjoy a 10% discount), the food is consistently delicious and the service is consistently on point. No MSG, a family-friendly environment, accommodating of most dietary restrictions (from gluten-free to vegan to just wanting to eat "healthier"), generous portion sizes, and wallet-friendly prices - what's not to love? My favorites throughout the years have always been: 1. Spring Rolls - perfectly fried and overflowing with veggies, dredged through sweet and sour sauce these are hard to beat. 2. Veggie Lo Mein - mounds of noodles with scallion, celery, carrots, and cabbage; my favorite right-out-of-the-box item! 3. Szechuan String Beans - stir-fried green beans drenched in a spicy sauce that convinces you you're eating healthy. 4.
