This was our first visit to Thai Spice and it definitely did not disappoint. We were welcomed upon arrival and chose indoor seating since there was a bit of rain. There is a lovely patio dining area as well. Every dish was delicious and excellently presented. Parking is plentiful and restrooms clean. The owners are delightful and we look forward to dining there again soon! read more

You absolutely have to eat here if you're in Augusta. Great food, good portion sizes, and fair prices.

The best Thai food in the area IMO. You can dine in or takeout and choose your source of protein (including tofu) for most dishes. The lunch special includes yummy vegetable fried spring rolls. My most recent order was Massamam curry with a 5 out of 5 for heat. For me, it still wasn't that spicy, but it was delicious and I made 2 extra meals out of the leftovers. I've never had anything here that wasn't fresh and delicious. read more

Thai Spice - Thai Near Me - Manchester, Maine

Legit tasty Thai food. Stopped in on a road trip and we wish we could come back. Right amount of spice and sweet!

Thai food is usually my favorite to eat when I go out, and I have eaten a lot of it in many cities around the country. This place is the worst. Seafood tastes as if it comes from frozen. Vegetables taste canned. The curry is bland. The fish is the seafood curry is just a giant fillet of fried fish... yes, fried, with a breading. I mean seriously... the worst Thai food ever. We will not be going back. ... I just tried a bite of that breaded fish. It's hard and rubbery. Has anyone who gave this place a good review EVER had Thai food before? Or food at all? read more

This is a great restaurant, I only gave 4 stars as my first experience was takeout, and on the takeout order one item wasn't quite living up to expectations. The Pros: Thai iced tea bubble tea was top notch. Tom kha soup with chicken with spice level 5 was one of the best I've had in a long time. Fried dumplings were tasty, well prepared and fresh. The ginger dish with chicken was very well seasoned and also very good. The takeout order was packed well, had cutlery, napkins, and a boba straw. No messy bag with spillage like many restaurants. Cons: The Thai Lad Nar noodles absorbed all the gravy by the time I got the dish, so there was almost no sauce and the noodles were mushy. It lacked much flavor and it was disappointing as this is one of my favorite dishes. That being said, I'll go try it again in person and I bet it will be a different experience. I'm unable to comment on restaurant cleanliness or atmosphere as I had the order delivered to me. Will definitely update once I go in person! read more

Or entire meal was delicious and the service was so friendly, quick and attentive. This family owned and operated business was a wonderful find and we will definitely be back. I bet the patio is great in the summertime to sit and enjoy the forest view. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with this small restaurant by route 202 Delicious fresh dishes. Especially impressed that the vegetables were all perfectly cooked, green beans had a nice crunch and the green pepper was soft Our waitress was lovely and the place is comfortable Will definitely go back read more

Ordered a spicy pad Thai and dumplings, dumplings were cold and soggy and the pad Thai was not correct, I asked for 4 star and there were no spice to it, just very bland. Also, 20 dollars for poor pad Thai. read more

The food was terrible. The beef in the beef and broccoli stir fry was tough and mostly gristle. The spring rolls were tasteless. The steamed wantons were barely warm and slimy. Ugh. The server was attentive, if a bit robotic. "Of course" was her answer to everything. Maybe we caught this place on an off night but, based on this one dinner, I cannot recommend. read more

I enjoy Thai cuisine, but this is mediocre at best. The Shumai was good but taste like it came from the frozen food isle at the local grocery store. The "spicy" entry was overly sweet and lacked both flavor and spice. Value for the money was terrible with only 4 shrimp in a $20 entree. The parking lot is usually full so it seems their doing well but I'll be taking my future dining elsewhere. read more

This is as good as Thai food gets in the state of Maine. The food is fresh, delicious and the owners and staff are very friendly. The Thom Ka soup is over the top and Panang Curry a family favorite. Portions are large enough to share, a great meal at a good price. Manchester is lucky to have such a great Thai Restaurant in town! read more

Thai Spice 5 stars Food was outstanding, authentic, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of spice. All the food was cooked perfectly and nice and hot upon arrival at home. Disappointed. Food was under spiced and seemed to be missing some critical ingredients. I have had Thai food all over the United States and England. This was not even in the top ten. Spend you money elsewhere. read more

Stopped by for yellow curry lunch. Nicely seasoned and delish. The two rolls that came with were good as well. The only reason they didn't get higher rating is that portion size is pretty small for the price. read more

Have been driving by this restaurant for sometime. Have different luncheon destinations, doctors appointments etc., that said this is takeout only and it is fabulous food. Stop in and take home some delicious food. Will be stopping in often. read more

This little restaurant is fantastic. They consistently create yummy Thai food. The ingredients are fresh with perfect sweet/hot balance. Only once my order was a bit off. When I spoke to them, they were terrific, and prepared me a second perfect meal at no additional cost. Portions are generous. I always have enough for dinner one night and lunch the next day. This may be a bit lengthy, but worth it. This food is amazing! My wife and I are up here at our summer lake house in Monmouth and we've been driving by this place for over a year. Well we decided to try it and it is KILLER. I ordered the Chu Chee curry shrimp with heat 4 out of 5, it was very pleasantly super hot as I hoped for with amazing coconut curry flavors. The one problem I've always had with restaurants is my version of spicy hot, and their version of spicy hot was never the same. I always have to say , I want it hot Hot HOTT and it's always lame , not here. If you say HOT, you get HOT. I'm very excited about this. I am going to try the 5 out of 5 next. I also got Tom yum soup , my wife got chicken pad Thai , and dumplings, all amazing! We are very picky people and this doesn't place will NOT disappoint ! So thank you guys for providing the food you promised! We will be back often. Just remember, if you say hot , it's hot so don't complain it's too hot because you asked for it. I'm really happy we stopped in. And it's very clean inside too. Looking forward to eating inside one day. read more

Very fresh food! I got the Chicken Spring Rolls and a seafood dish with peanut butter sauce that both tasted very good! The lady that was at the register was also very friendly and prompt. Will definitely be back to try some other authentic Thai. read more

Tried for the first time today. Food was bland, very greasy and quite expensive. Won't be going back. Good luck if you go there

So. What can I say, i just ordered lunch from here. I've lived in Maine for 5 years now and the thing here is they make their Asian restaurants sort of all in one, which i find very strange but I've gotten used to it. Like you'll find a Japanese restaurant with Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food. It's quite odd but the locals don't find this peculiar. I don't see Pho on many menus but it was on this one, and I decided to see if it was okay. I've never tasted a good bowl of Pho in this state, and it's unclear why that doesn't seem to be available here. I tried some in Camden at a Japanese (and apparently Vietnamese) restaurant that was open for a minute and it was bewildering. The broth had none of the flavors I expected. Anyway, the Pho at this restaurant was really good. I apparently missed it. It had the expected flavors: star anise, cardamom, coriander. It was served with an odd selection of meats though, the beef in it was like a sausage, and it had chicken and shrimp in it as well - I'm not sure why I couldn't order it with only one of the meats? or no meat? All together like that was an odd choice, but the broth was right and that's usually the issue with soups that claim to be Pho around here. It had the usual rice noodles, scallions, and bean sprouts with thai basil in it. It was good and that is why this restaurant gets the 5 stars... when no one can do this right, and this one place does....I will go back. I also ordered the green curry, just to taste it, which is what I normally order off of every Thai restaurant I go to, as a baseline. The curry blend was on the sweeter side of what I like, but it was still okay and not offensive, and I understand this is my own personal taste and not reflective of a bad curry. Clearly curry blends vary. It is nice that they allow you to indicate how spicy that you want your food 0 to 5 (spiciest). i enjoy spicier food so I went for number 5 and it wasn't too spicy so if they don't believe you can manage spicy food you'll have to reiterate that you want it spicy. read more

Delicious authentic thai food and great service! I loved the crab rangoons. The owner and chef is great. Good people.

Tried Thai Spice for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the authentic flavors. Their Thai Wonton Soup was delicious (hint of cilantro/lemon grass) and ordered 3 of 5 stars heat (very hot) for Krapao Moo (Basil Pork stir fry). Will visit them again for sure. read more

Wife & I spent $66.64 on ONE meal each! Won-ton soup was very good. Tamarian Duck(?) was tasteless because of STRONG orange sauce & over spiced. Chicken wings small & over cooked. Rest of everything was bland & VASTLY over priced. Expensive lesson! Should have gone to Longhorn for less! read more
