I feel very conflicted as I write this review, but as someone who prides themselves on being honest in their Yelp reviews, I am going to say what is going through my mind. The food is great, but not excellent. The service is ok, but not great. The position size is over the top and not skimping. Having said all that here is how I came to this conclusion. The day I went, there was one person working the front of the house seating guests, taking phone orders, taking orders, delivering the order and bussing the tables. He was extremely nice and obviously was working hard to take care of his customers, but it did require us to wait longer times between receiving our drinks to when the food arrived and we were able to get our check. For appetizers we ordered the vegetable spring roll and the chicken satay. The vegetable spring role was dry and needed hoisin to make it easier to consume. The chicken satay, I could have eaten a dozen of those. That was the best part about the entire meal. My wife and I both ordered Pho. Hers was all veggies and I had the house large. Mine included steak, beansprout, scallion, beef, onion, flank, tendon, tripe, cilantro and veggies. The tripe was inedible. It was so touch I couldn't even chew it. The steak was good. Flank was ok and tendon was a bit chewy as well. The bowl was so big that I couldn't finish half of it and had to take the rest home. I feel bad in one sense because the owners are very sweet and they put a lot of effort into their food, but they jus fell short on this occasion. I am willing to go back and give them a second chance, but compared to some other places I have had Pho, they are in the middle, but not on the bottom. They are worth trying again in the hopes they correct some of the items I mentioned above.

Unfortunately we won't return. Pad Thai was VERY sweet and I can only describe it as if you imagine Pad Thai coming in a can. My husband always finishes his Pho and only made it a few bites. Steak was hard to chew and fatty. We are leaving hungry. We had to interrupt their tv watching to pay the bill after waiting a long time for someone to come over. Restaurant is clean so there's that I guess.

This place is amazing, fresh, deep flavors, crips veggies! Nothing bad can be said about the food. You can tell it's been there for a while, the decor is traditional it's quiet and welcoming inside. But the service and menu could use some work. The woman took a very long time. We asked for the bill about 5min after my son finally got his "fresh squeezed lemonade." It was obviously made with some kind of limeade syrup that was all settled and thick at the bottom of the cup and strangely warmish. 5 stars is because the quality of food deserves it and maybe if it's busier they'll hire servers with experience and a sense of urgency.

Love the old Pizza Hut style! Service was quick and efficient. Shrimp fresh rolls awesome. Beef satay best I've ever had. Chicken great also but smaller portion. Prob just by chance. Can't wait to come back to sample more menu items.

Not the greatest broth for this pho connoisseur but it will do. Even though the broth was decent, the pho noodle itself was al dente, cooked to perfection. The bowl was packed with meats no skimping on that . The shrimp spring roll was fresh and decent. Overall my only place to go for decent pho near work .

The service was excellent and made me smile. I was hoping for bun cha but was satisfied with beef ball pho. The place looks like a pizza hut converted int a healthy mom and pop restaurant, delightful!

Every single time we are in Lewiston! Even if you're not, trust me it is worth the drive!!! this place needs more credit! We absolutely love this place! Being from Texas we know good authentic Vietnamese food..owners are always so humble and welcoming. Hot tea is settling on a cold day! We try different menu items everytime we go but our fav are the Bahn Mi Sandwiches, try with a fried egg! Never leave hungry! Must try if your in Lewiston

When the wait staff noticed they didn't attend to us and finally came over to give us the bill they blamed US for not flagging them down sooner. We had been waving our hands, tried calling to them when they walked by etc and they didn't notice our attempts. Humorous at best, annoying at worst. A group of us was waiting to be seated, in the meanwhile we asked the host if there were any outside seating available for kids. The host said no. So, we ordered our food to go instead of dine in. As we picking up our orders, the host brushed us off and said "oh, your food is over there, you can go now." I then asked if there are utensils inside for the group, she replied "yeah." But when I opened the bag to double check, there was only ONE chopsticks for 5 orders and no napkins! Went back to grab more chopsticks and some napkins, she gave us an attitude. So rude. Final note, the food was decent, but overall experience with the staff was not great at all. I definitely would not come back here anymore or recommend to my friends.

This was a rare, hidden gem with excellent food and service. We ordered for appetizers, fries dumplings, chicken satay, fried egg rolls, crab rangoon... they were all served with sauces and they were delicious. The portions were adequate for one person. We also ordered Udon noodles with beef which was tasty, very good ... well seasoned but little spicy heat. The portions were enough for taking home almost half the dish. The large Pho was a tasty treat! It had lots of noodles and flavorful broth. I did not think they gave enough green stuff, so i asked for another plate of sprouts and Thai basil. Our serve gladly and promptly brought another plate. If you go here, you'd want to ask for more.

I spoke with the owner, her broth is simmered for 24hrs like my vietnamese mother's broth. She uses an abundance amount of beef bones and beef, you can taste it in every sip of the pho soup. The rice noodles were cooked to perfection. The meatballs and thin tai beef is delicious. The food came out quick. The restaurant is cozy. Parking is a bit difficult to find if the front street parking is full during the winter. My daughter loves the chicken pho!

The produce can be hit or miss, but the mushrooms are always prime. Same with the fresh herbs. Massive lengths of garlic chives, absolute trees worth of mint, and lots of other weird and delicious leaves of various sorts. I was able to find plenty of pre-chopped frozen lemongrass, which I now will only buy frozen, becuase it's so fresh tasting and not as much of a pain to prepare. I made a soup where I used a full half cup of the stuff, which is never something I'd have done if I had to chop that by hand! Half the items don't have a price sticker or a sign that states the prices, but when you get to the register, they're happy to do a price check for you so that you know what you're paying. I'm assuming that with such a small physical space, and that variety of stuff, it's hard to constantly keep on top of prices on the shelves. If the cashier were annoyed at being asked the price, I'd not shop here, but I've always had them be happy to tell us the prices with no issues. Seriously though the selection is insane. There's stuff that I'd never imagine I can find easily in New England, but it's right there on the shelf. The noodle variety is great, with plenty of gluten free noodles for those who need it. Plenty of dried mushrooms and tea too!
