    Thai tea
    Sonya L.

I ordered take out via online ordering. Online ordering was easy and simple. When I went to pick up, the lady working front of house was very friendly and checked on my food. The space was a smaller space with a handful of tables but clean. I ordered a vermicelli with grilled pork and a Thai tea. My Thai tea was good, it tasted exactly as I expected. The grilled pork was tasty and had a good char/grill flavor. The noodles tasted a tad bit over, I prefer my noodles a little more al dente. The sauce tasted fine and the veggies were fine. I'm used to getting the mix of pickled carrot with daikon, I think this one had just the carrots. I would still try this again, or maybe their pho.

Just a warning to those who would like to order online to check what you're paying for. Their online system is extremely tricky... for stir fry, it'll say $10.95 and you can choose either lunch or dinner, but you have to scroll all the way down to see it. It automatically defaulted to lunch veggie extra $1 and added chicken for another $4. But if you click chicken dinner it'll be just extra $4, then you get the bigger portion. It didn't make sense. So I paid $15.95 for lunch portion but if I ordered dinner it would've been $14.95. The way the website ordering system is confusing that if you're in a rush ordering, you can easily get ripped off. Added the a photo for lunch portion, this isn't worth $15.95.

Low carb pho: replace the rice noodles w/ veggies.

Authentic recipes that hits this Vietnamese girl's cravings. Service is always super nice, & they're helpful in guiding newbies through their extensive menu. The owner's mom even indulged me when I asked for low carb pho...by replacing the noodles w/ veggies. Super fresh ingredients for a filling yet healthy meal at a great price. Don't hesitate, just go! They have their own lot, so no worries about having to find street parking.

Thank you so much for my gluten free vegan takeout! :) I wanted to leave a few reviews... I am moving to Bath and so excited that I will be able to eat your food! Thank you for having great prices too! I am moving up from Massachusetts. The atmosphere was great. It was intimate but lively, Service was great. The woman at the cash register was so friendly! My salad, spring rolls, vegetables, and rice were delicious! My photo doesn't do it justice. I was eating in the car later that evening driving but it was very good!

    Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Not a fan of spicy or hot food so when I'm invited to a Pho restaurant I know I'm safe because most of them will have the standby Sweet and Sour Chicken. For most of them it's usually battered chicken fingers in sweet sauce with pineapple, maraschino cherries and bell peppers. This is not one of those lazy dishes. It was amazing. Roasted carrots, bell peppers, and broccoli. Onions and snow peas. A healthy portion of chicken too.

Much more hoisin has been used than sriracha. This is Maine, after all.

I've been visiting Maine regularly all of my life; my mother and her mother were born here and several family members live in Maine. But I live in North County San Diego, where registered voters can get voting materials in Vietnamese and where there are more places that serve pho than serve lobster rolls. Recently the Red Envelope Vietnamese/Thai restaurant opened in the space that for decades was Mario's Pizza. I decided to try it tonight, and I'm glad I did. I was eating alone, so I couldn't try many dishes. I had Cha Gio (Vietnamese egg rolls) and Pho Dac Biet. Both were excellent. This food would be competitive in my home neighborhood near San Diego. The Cha Gio were perfect, but I think the sauce for them came out of a jar. It tasted fine. Pho is served in a big bowl that contains most of its ingredients, with a plate of garnishes on the side. One of those garnishes is always bean sprouts. I like to put the bean sprouts into the hot pho while it is still too hot to eat, so that they will cook a little. Then when it has cooled down some, I add the other garnishes. The first test of restaurant pho is whether it arrives hot enough to cook the bean sprouts. Mine did. I had to ask for chopsticks, but this is Maine, a frugal place that isn't going to waste money on chopsticks that people aren't going to use. I like to mix hoisin sauce and sriracha together to make a dip into which I dip pieces of meat before eating them. Having just asked for chopsticks, I was reluctant to ask for a side bowl in which I could mix the sauces, so I used the now-empty garnish plate. It worked. It is unusual for me to finish a meal of pho without slopping some on my shirt. Tonight I managed, and I feel proud. Tonight as I was finishing my dinner, a couple sat down at the next table and were discussing the menu. One said "I wonder if I want a small bowl or a large bowl". I held up my small bowl to show them, and said "this is a small bowl". They gasped and commented that it was huge. Pho bowls always are.

Went in last night for dinner based on reviews here. The restaurant is small and one young lady waiting tables and the register. Another lady in back cooking. Appeared they do quite a takeout business a well. We each ordered dishes and spring rolls. Everything was delicious and service was great. Will definitely go back.

I had to try it. It's in a great location - right off 295 and 196. Easy to find. Parking - This restaurant shares a very large parking lot with a couple of businesses, however there is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant. Which I LOVE! Inside it's super spacious and it could easily accommodate a party of 6-8. They can move tables together, where half would be in chairs and others on booth seating. The menu is great. Has some traditional Thai food options and so much more! You can order online for take-out as well. Some of our favorites: Crab Rangoon, Edamame, Thai Crispy Vegetable Rolls, Pork Dumplings (dainty/crispy and delicious). Thai fried rice, Pork or Chicken Kra-Pow, Combo Thai Fried Rice, and MANGO STICKY Rice for dessert - YUMMMMMMMM. While I have had the entrees and appetizers at other restaurants, for some reason the food tastes so fresh here and not greasy at all. Its flavors are bright and not just "salted". In the 3 times I have had dinner here, it's always so consistent. It's my favorite Asian restaurant in this area. The portions are good as well, most times we have been here, someone has had a takeout container of leftovers. The service here is nice. They are quick on their feet and always with a smile. If you are in the area, I recommend this restaurant for Thai/Asian Food.

I enjoyed my Thai Fried rice, however the flavors were a bit dull, however, I still enjoyed it. The Vegetable Gyoza was nice and flavorful. The dumplings were plump and delicious. Inside, was dark and didn't look like the dining area was open. When we walked in, we were acknowledged our order was processed and we were on our way. I'm not paying $25 for old spinach that you're calling wilted. We saw a little farmers market thing going on in a little park on the walk over to Joshua's but it had ended by the time we realized our mistake and tried to walk back. Then we spot this little hole in the wall. It looked like it was once a gas station Asian food restaurant. The front of the building read: Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. We like all of those things so we headed over and took a chance. They no longer offer table service, but there was a sign that said you're welcome to eat your food inside, so we did. The menu was like any other Asian restaurant, all the staples were there, the lunch specials that include your eggroll and soup, choice of fried rice or white rice. So we ordered a couple lunch specials. And two are surprised it was insanely good. It wasn't like fine dining Asian food, it was more like comfort Asian food. My pad Thai was real pad Thai, it was sweet and it was sour, it was the spice level I asked for! It did not taste like spicy dried peanut butter rubbed all over rice noodles. There was a fantastic sauce to it. The miso soup I ordered was light and refreshing, yet comforting, like something your mom would make. The outside of this building looks like it's going to make you sick, ignore that part and go inside.
