Honeyboba is SO FREAKING GOOD. Definitely in my top 3 of places we visit most often. Why? The selection is outrageous - probably 10 menu boards of different drink options, anything from pimped-out lemonades to crazy matcha drinks, iced coffee and Thai milk teas, not to mention the plethora of real fruit teas, smoothies, and other delights. Plenty of toppings, like popping boba, jelly, and egg pudding. The ingredients they use are actually quality items - fresh fruit, thai brewed tea, real avocado, etc. It's hard enough to find a boba spot with all of that goodness, but what sends HoneyBoba over the top is the snacks! There's a hot case that is almost always stocked with tasty goodies like custard buns, dumplings, and spring rolls. There are freshly baked treats like loaded cookies and fun takes on rice krispie treats. And something we never tried but looks so good is their bubble waffles - yum! The drink menu usually stays the same (or expands!), but the snacks will rotate, depending on what the owner dreams up and churns out. It's worth it to follow them on Instagram for a preview of what is currently available. Parking is weird but you can usually score a spot either on the street right in front of the shop or in the little parking lot right behind the building. Stop in and give it a try! Honeyboba is SO GOOD. That's the short version. Long version: I have loved seeing an increase in boba spots over the last few years in the greater Portland area, and they all bring something different to the table. With the closing of Bubble Mania, we've been lacking that really classic, authentic Boba. In comes HoneyBoba. The owners are incredibly sweet and make as much from scratch as possible- no fruit flavored powders here! They have a whole section just for brown sugar boba drinks and one of the options is a Delgona coffee topping, the whipped coffee method that became trendy during Covid. They also had egg pudding as a topping so I will definitely be back for that. We also ordered the Original Thai tea with boba and it was SO good. Long story shorts our drinks were great, the menu is extensive and we will definitely be back. read more

This newer spot was recommended by a local shop owner for their boba tea. At first glance it's a pretty simple small little shop with a large window, around 6 small tables along two walls and a large counter where you order and they prepare. Staff was friendly and happy to fill us in on any info to help decide- there are A LOT of options and variations to try- we opted for the Ube (purple yam) made with non dairy milk that is the default used which they recommended and it was SO GOOD! There was a ton of boba in the drink and she explained how she likes to soak it in some sugar, et. to give it the color we noted. Looking forward to coming back to try other options and I hear they have more food offerings like baked goods, stir fry, rolls, etc. read more

I was so excited when I first saw that this place was opening. I'm a big fan of boba tea and tea in general so when I knew a new boba tea shop was opening under 10 minutes away I was pumped. They have a long long list of options that will be making me come back again and again. With even more options to come including frappes, smoothies, and likely even food eventually. We stopped in about 20 minutes before closing for a quick drink after a long day and it seemed like they may have been closing early. The owner was so nice to still make us a mango fruit tea and blueberry fruit tea and they were both phenomenal. A bright and inviting little cafe set-up that I am sure will become a hangout for many. So many choices. Lots of tea options and toppings. I didn't take a photo of it, but they have a short food/snack menu too. I got Jasmine milk tea with boba. They did a great job adjusting it to my taste, less sweet. The tea was delicious, such a nice flavor and not bitter at all. The boba were perfect (not all boba places get it right). Been wanting to try this spot out since it opened. I can say I should've went sooner. The Service was quick and Super friendly! The place was very clean with a Big menu which is great if you don't know what you want. The options are amazing and what this town was missing. I got the Brown sugar boba with Oreo crumble.
