Love poke! Love the options and the freshness. Staff always friendly. I think I go weekly. Cute little place and always clean inside

I am just going to say it once: if you like poke, this is the best. If you are in the Portland area, they have at least two locations. If you don't know poke, but you like sushi, you must try this. Each plate is designed for the flavors to meld and complement each other. All the ingredients are super fresh and delicious. The staff is the friendliest. You can order there or ahead of time online to pick up.. The dining area is comfortable and quiet. I had lost a bit of track of them since they moved but now I've located them again, right near Market Basket, and exit 48. Do it! Go there!

Poke bowl place with quick service like a chipotle. You can order online or go in and order at the counter and take a seat. Always fresh with lots of ingredients to choose from. They have some bowls you can choose from or just make your own. I always make my own with the tuna and it's great. A little pricey but worth it for fresh ingredients.

Excellent poke bowls. Fresh ingredients and fair portion sizes. I took the picture after I mixed the ingredients a bit. It was a really nice presentation too. I will definitely be back.

Oh man. So good. Friendly and fast service, easy online ordering. Only downside is it is very pricey, but the ingredients are usually very fresh (sometimes the avo isn't), and they do an AMAZING JOB with spice levels and cilantro. A true treat of a meal!

A little gem on the edge of Portland! The poke was fresh and delicious! They have a bunch of prefix bowls for all tastes or you can customize your own with lots of options for topping and sauces. The service was fast and friendly too!

If you are traveling back to NYC from Maine and craving for some Poke, you should give this place a try. According to Yelp, they have 2 branches in Maine. I visited the one in Westbrook because it is closer to the highway. The restaurant is inside a plaza so there are plenty of parking spaces. Once entered the restaurant, the right side is to place new orders and the left is for pick-up. There are signs with instructions for how to order the food which are pretty simple and clear. Build your own bowl large size is $16.50 (as of 3/7/2023). They have tables and chairs for people to sit down as well. Inside the restaurant is decorated in Hawaiian style and is kinda cute imo. The bathroom is clean and equipped with necessary items, they even provide a small corner for baby changing. As for the food, they gave okay portions but I think the amount of rice was a bit too little. I got salmon, tuna and yellowtail and they all were fresh. I wish they have given more sauce because after mixing with the rice & everything I couldn't quite taste the sauce anymore. Overall I would say it's a bit pricey compared to the amount given. But if I pass through the town again I'll probably go there and this time I'll make sure I ask for more rice and sauce if they don't charge extra lol. Note: I didn't bring my phone with me to the restaurant that's why there's no photos of the inside.

Being in Maine moving from Hawaii this place makes me feel like I'm back home on Maui. Hawaii no ka'oi! This was all fresh and delicious! The service was great and they were super friendly! The ambiance was like I was sitting in an indoor Hawaii. Obviously nothing beats the real thing but this is the place to go should you miss the islands! I'll be back!

Mr. Tuna is one of three Open Table Exclusive restaurants in Maine, so most every local Chase Reserve card member uses their twice yearly $150 credit here, which explains my visit. The people watching from the outdoor tables on Middle Street must be some of the best in the city. You could easily sip a glass of sake (the dreamy clouds was...dreamy) while eating a toro maki roll and marveling at the tourists waiting in a two hour Eventide line. But we ordered the lemongrass fried tofu salad, salmon toro sashimi and 3 maki rolls, including the green crab special. Everything tasted fresh and excellent with only Yosaku in the same league for Old Port sushi. Of course Yosaku is much more authentic Japanese than Mr. Tuna, though Mr. Tuna is more fun. Like most trendy Portland restaurants, lunch for two with a couple drinks each is $200 all in (get that Chase card!). Still, this is a huge, inventive menu with a great bar program and is one of the surprisingly better summertime outdoor seating options.

The braised and crisped pork belly (Buta No Kakuni) here was some of the best I have ever had. One of those "Holy sh*t" bites where you have to put your head down to process what just assaulted your taste buds. Perfectly rendered fat, good meat to fat ratio, super crisp outer exterior but not too much where it gets tough, the caramelized soy glaze to top it all off.. It was just so good. Also, getting a bite with the kewpie, pickled onion, and pork belly all in one shot is chefs kiss. It doesn't even need all the supporting characters, but it makes it that much better. Slightly overshadowed by the pork, I also got an onigiri. It was filled with chicken and chives. Overall I thought the onigiri was decent. Chicken and chive wouldn't be my top filling but it was tasty nonetheless and still worth trying! I like that they griddle it slightly to help it hold its structure instead of using a piece of nori. The meal started with spicy cucumbers, fried eggplant, and Korean fried chicken. The cucumbers were refreshing, sweet, spicy, and dangerously addictive. The eggplant was crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. And the fried chicken? My partner could have just eaten that alone and been happy! The four of us went all in on the largest combo platter. Short rib, ribeye, pork belly, shrimp, chicken, veggies--the grill was working overtime. The short rib ipractically melted, the ribeye was buttery perfection, and the pork belly reminded us why pork belly has such a devoted fan club. There was a brief period where my partner and I had no idea what we were doing at the grill, luckily we were with seasoned veterans of it!
