Two specialty rolls and two traditional rolls

Surprised I have not left a review for this place yet. Always a great meal well priced, an extremely deceptive from the outside in my opinion. We did have an appetizer of crab Rangoon. Came out quickly, especially for Friday night and very traditional on the inside. There is a rumor that extension of road will be put through this location. Hoping they relocate somewhere else in Windham if and when that day comes. If you like sushi, you need to stop here.

I've been coming to Eagle Sushi for 5 years now, almost exclusively as a take-out customer. The other day, I finally decided to have a sit-down meal here and similar to all my other experiences, it did not disappoint. There's just no getting a bad meal or poor service here, regardless of how you order. The food is always fresh, done quickly, and the family that runs the restaurant is super sweet! Upon entering, we also noticed how clean it spelled in there! My 14 year old daughter was first to make the comment and we all know how oblivious teenagers can often be when it comes to cleanliness. This time around we enjoyed the chicken satay, sweet potato and shrimp tempura maki rolls, and the chicken hibachi meal. We discovered a new item that we'd never had before, some of the most delicious smoothies (pineapple and coco blue)! Don't sleep on Eagle Sushi. You're missing out if you do!

A friend and I were driving from Bangor to and Airbnb in the area and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch, saw that this place was open and had some good reviews and we came here! Everything from the service, food quality, and ambiance was amazing. Seats were so comfortable! The service was amazing, they didn't have a changing table but they put some chairs in the bathroom so that i could change my daughter- and they were very nice about it! We ordered the wonton soup and some sushi and they were definitely some of the best we've had, and the other girl doesn't really even like sushi! Definitely would recommend this place!!!

Excellent food. Habachi and sushi. Service is excellent as well. Very clean establishment. Quick to be seated and served. Salad is fresh and soup was hot. Looking forward to our next visit.

Eagle's Prayer, Dynamite, Sweetheart, cooked spicy Scallop rolls

First time we had tried Eagle Sushi and we were not disappointed! This place does not jump out at you. It sits a little back from the road. The outside is lackluster to look at (some landscaping would go a long way!), but don't let that stop you from giving it a try. We tried crab rangoons, the sweetheart roll, Eagle's Prayer, Dynamite, and cooked spicy scallop rolls. All were delicious! The crab Rangoons were homemade and full of yummy filling. They were not greasy. Eagle's Prayer was pretty with different colored roe on each piece. The Sweetheart and Dynamite were essentially the same roll with spiced crab on top, and either crunchy shrimp or spiced tuna inside. My favorite! Everything was fresh tasting, and had a good amount of filling. We normally head to Portland or South Portland for sushi, but will head to Windham from now on!

While the place may look a bit drab from the outside, the inside is very nice. The service was excellent, fast and friendly. Prices are only slightly on the higher side but still reasonable, as the food is delicious, definitely give this place a chance as it will not disappoint!

    Hibachi Area neat and clean

Great service! Great food! Clean! Private Parking Lot! Five stars right there! The staff was so friendly and welcoming as soon as we peaked our head in the doorway. They welcome you like you are family visiting at their home, very hospitable. The food is fresh and made to order. Expect the order to take the amount of time as if you were making it at your house with fresh ingredients that you have to cute, sauté etc. Our server knew based on our order that it would take some time, so she brought complimentary soup and it was hot and delicious especially welcomed given the very cold afternoon of black Friday shopping. When I walk into a "new" to me establishment, i look around carefully. I didn't look too hard, given there was a decent sized crowd, especially for 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The floors, seats and tables were spotless. The hibachi area wasn't occupied and it was very clean and ready to be used. The decor is simple but tasteful. The food was so delicious. Not over seasoned at all, but perfectly where it brought out natural flavors of the ingredients. I loved my beef ramen. The beef was so tender...and at first I didn't see noodles...but as soon as I dipped by chopsticks into it, oh, there were noodles. About a third of the bowl was yummy noodles. So happy. The avocado sushi was perfect and plentiful...i ate them way to fast because they were sooooo goood. My husband's udon noodle dish looked delicious and had a perfect portion for a hungry person or enough for two share. He loved his California rolls as well. The prices were quite reasonable. And I look forward to going back. I highly recommend this location as the best in Windham.

This little restaurant has some great sushi. This was the first time we ate in. The staff was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Let's start with the cocktails, because they truly deserve top billing. I always order the seasonal espresso martini, and somehow it just keeps getting better. This time it was tiramisu-inspired, and it was unreal. Rich, balanced, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like the dessert without feeling heavy. Whoever is behind that bar knows exactly what they're doing. The fish and chips? You cannot go wrong. Perfectly crisp batter, flaky fish, and fries that hold their own. It's one of those dishes you order once and then find yourself thinking about days later. That said, everything we've tried over multiple visits has been consistently excellent. It's the kind of menu where you feel safe branching out because you know it's going to deliver. The space itself adds to the whole experience. The architecture is beautiful, with warm wood tones and big windows that bring in natural light and make the river views part of the meal. It manages to feel polished and special without being stuffy. You can dress up a little or come in relaxed and still feel right at home. And the service is always attentive in that effortless way. Our servers have consistently been knowledgeable, present, and genuinely welcoming without hovering. It makes the whole night feel easy.

It was about 11:30 and the place was getting busy. By the time we left there was a short line out the door waiting to be seated and the parking lot was full. We will definitely be back.

The host did a great job seating us with our 18-month-old away from the busy areas and bigger groups, which we really appreciated. Our server was good, friendly, attentive, and great with our daughter. The empanadas and street corn were both really good. The steak, though, was a huge disappointment. We ordered the NY strip medium rare and it came out overcooked and really chewy. Last year I had the opposite problem, it was undercooked and had to be sent back. For what they charge for the food and drinks, I'd expect them to be able to cook a medium rare steak consistently without guessing. The steak also could've been trimmed a lot better. Overall, the service was great, but the steak has been inconsistent every time we've gone. At this price point, I don't see us coming back.

Husband started with a fresh lettuce salad that had a nice vinegar & oil with fresh garlic dressing on it. I ordered the Squash soup which was savory and perfect for a cool evening. Cod for me and halibut for him were the main entrees. Both were deliciously prepared and had wonderful flavor and didn't last long, even with a nice serving size! We added the mashed potatoes(OMG!) and carrots as side dishes and both complimented our mains perfectly. I'd let the staff know that it was my husband's birthday so when the Rhubarb Crisp came out, it included a birthday candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Elizabeth was outstanding and a delight to meet. Fore Street has a great reputation that is well deserved. We spent $200 including tip which included one beer with our dinner. Highly recommend for future visits!

Classic dark steakhouse/grill room atmosphere, open kitchen, good energy, friendly people. Unfortunately, the food execution did not match the appearance or pricing. Our waitress was very nice and genuinely trying, but it was her first night after only a couple hours of training, which showed. To the restaurant's credit, the manager/supervisor was sharp, knowledgeable, and handled questions immediately. The biggest miss was the "Steak & Cheese" appetizer described as: "Beef Carpaccio, Fried Goat Cheese, Greens, Fried Capers, Red Onion, Aioli" What arrived was essentially a large salad topped with thick-cut beef and heavy dressing. I actually had to dig underneath the greens to find the fried goat cheese. Once I found it, the goat cheese itself was excellent. The "carpaccio," however, was not carpaccio in any recognizable form. Thick slices of beef covered in dressing completely missed the point of the dish. I love both carpaccio and fried goat cheese, so this should have been an easy win. I also found the steak menu surprisingly limited for a place presenting itself as a serious grill room. No New York strip, only a "NY Sirloin," plus essentially a ribeye and hanger steak option. Oddly, for Portland, Maine, there was also no lobster on the menu. I ordered the hanger steak entree with fries. The fries were excellent. The hanger steak itself was average at best, especially at the price point. Overall, the restaurant has atmosphere and potential, but the food felt more style than substance. For me, about a 3/5 experience overall.
