Huge and luscious Crispy Roll and spicy tuna
Annie M.

Came here a year ago and loved it ... today, not so much. The floors, entryway, bathrooms, and table top was not just dirty, it was filthy! Ordered the crab rangoon, volcano roll, spicy tuna roll and teriyaki chicken. Nice presentation. (See photos) Crab rangoon was over cooked. Unfortunately the chicken was cold and tasted like barbecue sauce. The volcano roll had COLD baked seafood on top that included baked salmon SKIN and it permeated the roll with a horrific flavor ... with one bite I was instantly nauseous. Thankful they took it off our ticket.

1/3rd filled rice container

Pretty sad to say that after a 20 min ride back home found our rice container only 1/3 filled and our chicken fresh rolls falling apart. Disappointed! Don't leave without checking your containers!! Hard to support local businesses with this type of service!!!

Extra steamed veggies upon request...
Penny D.

Was looking for an abundance of veggies so I needed to add a side after getting my meal. First veggies were cold without much flavor aside from pretty good peanut sauce. Enjoyed the fried tofu. Timing was just off I guess...staff was happy to get me an order of steamed veggies for a small fee, and they did come out hot. We have a lot of choices, I can't imagine needing to return anytime soon.

I had to review Boa because it definitely deserves more than the two stars it had. I'm tempted to even give it five stars, but I try to reserve that for the best of the best. The location is very nondescript, but the food is prepared wonderfully. The presentation was nice and it was incredibly tasty. I was happy to bring the leftovers of my rather large portion home with me for lunch. The owners must have taken the service that Keith complained about seriously, because it was incredible. Our waitress was regularly checking to see if we needed anything, but not in a manner that was bothersome. All in all my visit was a positive one.

We went to this place by chance. We actually left another place due to VERY POOR service... From the outside it may not look like much but don't be fooled, this place is awesome. The girls working were in great spirits and were very friendly! After hearing about our failed first attempt for an evening out they took taking care of us to the next level!! We got a small bottle of sake and our server was great at explaining the taste. It was very good. I got Miso soup, which I totally love, and my fiancé got the seafood hot and sour soup. The seafood was shrimp, muscle, and squid which he likes a lot. We got two different rolls, me not knowing really how big they were!! He ordered the Black Dragon and I got the Baked Salmon, BOTH WERE HUGE!! Overall this place is awesome and totally worth a stop in! We highly recommend!!

The sushi is beautiful! I haven't been here in awhile and it has only improved. I wish it was a warmer look. The floor is white tile...seems cold. But I must say none of that matters. The food rocks. Try their lunch specials. Excellent bento box choices.

Lewiston roll in the middle, California roll on the sides.

I had the Lewiston and California roll. Both were tasty, of high quality ingredients, and for the price, the roll size was large. The only downside to both of these rolls is the rice was a little soggy. I had a taste of the pad thai, which was pretty good, standard, Pad Thai. Service was also fine. Go here for large, good rolls at reasonable prices with plenty of other non-sushi options. I will definitely come back.

One of the few good sushi places I go back to regularly. The service is average for the area but that's the only thing I think is average. At this point I always get the same thing the combination 5. The combination meals are such a good amount of delicious food for the price, same this most of their menu. The have a huge selection of everything especially special rolls. I've also had their orange chicken and beef and broccoli, both were fantastic but I usually go here for the fish. It's even good as take-out! I've been here about twice a month for the past year and never had a complaint or problem with my food personally.

Crunchyroll and I forget what she ordered, but it was pretty.

Fresh sushi and large portions of it! Our favorite place for sushi in the L/A area. Their crab rangoons are amazing too!

Unlike other hibachi restaurants, we we were also able to order food and be served right away. We didn't have to wait for the table to fill up as is so often the case. The fillet melted in my mouth. The shrimp are perfectly seasoned and delicious. The fried rice, fantastic. The vegetables are one of my favorites. Our chef was attentive, professional, funny, and adept at doing everything that is hibachi. I love the fact that I have discovered this so close to home. The Lewiston reputation holds strong as the mall is limping along and this facility is a corner stone of its remaining existence. Sea 40 ambience hasn't changed since the day they opened their doors. It's okay, just don't look for that swanky up and new appealing vibe. The waiter was frantic, slow, preoccupied, and all over the place. The food at Sea 40 was relatively fresh, flavorful, and presented just fine. I had started with steamed edamame with sea salt and Pot-Stickers/Gyoza. For my main course I had the hibachi salmon and filet mignon, salad with the ginger sauce, and broth soup.

Sorry, fellas. This sushi is extremely average at best. Had to get the sushi "yacht" for two. But the nigiri was kind of weird. The rice tasted warm. Not like, perfect temperature from the hands of the itamae, but weird tepid lukewarm sitting around rice. The sashimi didn't seem so fresh to me, and sushi grade quality was questionable. The roll also seemed to be at an odd temperature. Overall I was rather disappointed. The best part for me was the sake. But my date (outside of her comfort zone) did seem to like it overall. I don't want to be negative, but this is definitely a "won't visit again" for me.

My wife and I shared three maki: vegetable tempura, inari (sweet marinated tofu), and avocado dream. We would love to return to try some of their many other vegetarian options. The vegetable tempura roll, which contained broccoli, green bean, sweet potato, onion tempura, and sweet brown glaze, was probably my favorite. This roll was huge, so open wide! The avocado dream was a close second, with sweet potato, avocado, and cream cheese. It's tempura fried with a truffle mayo on top, which gave it a really unique flavor! Though not as fancy as the two specialty maki, the inari maki was delicious too. The service was prompt and the kitchen was efficient, so we had plenty of time to get to our next destination without worrying. I'd love to return if I'm ever back in Brunswick!

We have eaten on the restaurant side and on the hibachi side and love both. The variety of food opens is awesome. They have a bar if that is something you would like to do. In the area stop by and try them out. If you want to try the hibachi for a party, call ahead to reserve, but if you're on the restaurant side, on the menu you can order some hibachi meals for a solo person. Halfway through our meal we placed a to-go order, and I clearly asked for one sushi and one hibachi to go. We also asked for our dine-in meal to be separate from the to-go order because we were paying separately. Unfortunately, the order got doubled and we ended up receiving two of everything. What should have been about $40 for the to-go order ended up being over $70. She also wasn't able to split the check or separate the orders, and after trying to explain a few times we eventually just gave up and paid. She was very kind, and I understand that communication can be difficult, but having waitstaff who are a bit more fluent in English would really help avoid situations like this. On a positive note, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice--not too loud and not too quiet
