This is mexican bread heaven! You walk in and surrounded by pastries and all sorts of bread! Some were soft others were crunchy. I tried 3 today. Cinnamon raisin roll 2.5/5 Dry. Apple empanada 3/5 Not bad. Jammy, sweetish..like a less sweet apple pie and no cinnamon taste added. Flaky croissant 2.5/5 Not too sweet. SUPER CRUMBLEY. It was alright. read more

Paco's is a wonderful panadería that offers delicious pan dulce! Always fresh, great variety and excellent value.

Paco's Mexican Bakery has nestled themselves nicely into the this area for a long time. I have no issues. I give them 4 stars. They're on Veteran's Memorial Dr a few miles south of Beltway 8. I feel they have been consistent for over the last decade. The Same rotation. The Same selection. I see lotsa party cakes being sold. I get my usual comfort items. I've never seen a cashier smile or say hello. Be forewarned they turn and burn. They are handling Covid 19 by requiring masks and keeping clean utensils in rotation as well as spacing. Suggestion:The Bollios make nice sandwiches. With Fresh avocado slices is very popular. A twist on avocado toast. They sell a ton of them, however you like them. read more

Very very RUDE. Ladies glared as if they didn't want me in there. Ordered several dozen pastries, never again.

I placed an order for a tres leches cake for my sons first birthday party and it wasn't great honestly. I had high hopes for this tres leches cake because I know that the cakes that are in display case are good. I was really disappointed when I had a slice of the cake and it was so dry. I might as well just ordered a regular vanilla cake instead and probably wouldn't have costed as much as the tres leches cake that I ordered. Wasn't worth $105.. If you're looking to order a tres leches cake, don't get it here. You're better off getting a vanilla cake from Walmart. Other than that service was great, the employees are nice.

Love this bakery! Bread is fresh and delicious. Highly recommended. I haven't tried any of the cakes yet but the look as delicious as well. The bolillos are my favorites there crispy outside and soft inside read more

Service was terrible. Those ladies have a nasty attitude and gave me the looks. Might actually be racist. Guy who took the cake order was nice though! read more

I am pretty sure this is an Salvadorian bakery. I have noticed the Salvadorian bakeries are not that sweet. The three things we got were kind of bland and not sweet. I wonder is all Salvadorian bakeries make their bread in this manner. Not great. Not bad. Just middle of the road. I remember how when I was a kid we would go to Mexican bakeries like this but the sweet bread was actually sweet. Everything is fresh and good but this place is kind of like one of those hyped up places. Again not terrible just over hyped in my opinion. Maybe I will go back. They definitely have a clean establishment and the people there are very nice and friendly. read more

This is bakery and dessert heaven. This place has outstanding baked goods and desserts. Try the cheesecake and flan combination! You will be impressed. Above all, you will be more impressed with the price. The place is very clean. The only service you'll get is when you check out or when you have questions. read more

Oh Paco Paco whatever happened to you since you have grown? I remember when you used to be in that smaller space right next door to the Chevron. You were always packed when I needed my variety box of breads and seemed to have a larger choice. Forward a few years later since I have returned to you and finally gotten to visit you after you've opened here. Maybe it's that you have doubled your business space but have kept the same amount/variety of bakeries that you had when I frequented you a few years ago? I'll have to make another visit because I can't put my finger on it but I do miss the busy bodies I would see with that sense of urgency you once had. A little tip, the ladies you have now behind the counter now could stand to half crack a smile once in a spell. The two you had a few years ago would make you sense their urgency that they have a job and mean business. See you in a couple of days my friend. read more

I've been here an insane amount of times over a period of 5 years. Their quality has not changed and I've practically tried everything on their menu at least once. I've been to a few other bakeries like this one and this one edges them out. Not everything they offer is delicious but most of their products are and their variety of pan dulce's they offer is second to none. I wouldn't order custom cakes or full size cakes from here, mostly because I would go to a higher quality bakery for that, but their pan dulce is on point. They've also handled the COVID-19 situation really well. read more

Woaa just impressed of the lack of knowledge on sanitation, first the lady was cleaning the countertop by the Pan Dulce with Lysol sprayed directly to the counter, cross contamination ( cleaning material) I don't think they know what it is. Second the casher helper was using tongs for the bread some how the cheesecake from the costumbre in front of me got stuck to the tongs so she decided to hit the tong on top of the trash can. She was going to use the same tongs to grab my pan dulce I did stop her and ask her to use different tongs. They really need to work on the knowledge on that material. Let me know if they need help I willing to do it. read more

Horrible customer service I went to buy a cake for my mothers b day the lady at the counter had no clue of the cakes she looked very upset to be working there very unhappy the lady's name is Liz so if you go watch out she might want to fight you for asking a question. I do NOT recommend (Pacos Bakery) you are best off with Sam's or other bakeries. I rate them (-0) but I had to give 1 star for the review. read more

I love their sweet bread especially the Rosca de Reyes , this year they didn't do it I don't know why was the reason but that rosca last about a week and taste so good. And I also like that they have cactus ready to be cook, and chorizo la chona that I can't find it any where. read more

Great bakery for Mexican sweet bread. They have a huge variety, everything I tried was very good and prices are comparable.

Pecos bakery OH MY you have everything I want in there cakes, fresh bollio bread, mexican cokes and other sodas, and even a little taqueria inside where you can get amazing food at. The sweet bread always taste fresh and a good variety that keeps you wanting to go in there and just eat everything. The only advice I would give people who would like to come to this bakery is to get there early so you can get some sweet bread, and the parking get a little crazy and packed so get there early. read more

Unfortunately I Didn't have the best experience, the cake was super stale and bland, but still had the tres leches dripping out. I think the bread was old. The employees here are in no hurry to help people get in and out. This is not due to how busy the store is - only a handful of people allowed inside at a time, the rest have to stand outside and wait. The pan dulce is great but the lack of service makes for a negative experience. read more

I have loved this bakery since I was a child. And I am beyond impressed at how they've been able to adapt and cater to all customers during this Covid pandemic. I ordered through their website (super user friendly!) and asked for curbside pickup. They had a parking spot specifically for this, and after I arrived I was very impressed by how quickly they brought out my two orders. The employee was super friendly, and I was so grateful she avoided me a trip inside the bakery. Overall, great experience! I have been supporting their business for as long as I can remember, and am so impressed with their awesome changes to help support all of their customers! read more

Still the best Mexican sweet bread in Houston. I tried many others in in town but this is still the best. They have the best customer service and a wide variety of treats for your palate. On the weekend make sure you don't come too late especially when its cold because the selection will be very slim read more

First time visiting this bakery and I will definitely be coming back for more. I don't know if I came too late, but I wasn't able to try their sweet bread that other reviewers mentioned. However, they have enough goodies to try and boy were they delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I would make a list of the pastries that I purchased, unfortunately there was just too many names to remember and some were in Spanish. But...I think it is safe to say that it is near possible that everything in the store is delicious. From the moment you get out of your car, you are greeted by the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods. When I say "fresh" it is fresh. Every selection I made was soft and moist - nothing hard and crumbly about their baked goodies. In short if you find yourself in North Houston, this place is a great spot to grab either a big or small CHEAP & DELICIOUS pastry and a cup of fresh brewed coffee. read more

The bread is great. But the service is horrible. Cashiers take their sweet time, when they have 2 full lines around the counter. That is their only problem. If they did something to speed up the process, they'd have 5 stars, no doubt read more

I liked the products, they tasted good. I am not 100% confident of the freshness though. I don't know if it was me, but the lady at the register wasn't the nicest I've ever met. This is a great bakery. The best quality in the area, authentic Mexican bread. Unfortunately, their staff does not have ant customer service skills. All I can say is- WOW! Some friends and I came here for a quick lunch since we had a teaching conference around the corner. Their beef fajita gorditas are to die for! Lastly, the pan was fresh and tasty! Loved the heart cookie I got! So glad we ran into this gem!! Highly recommend! read more

I did not know what to expect from Paco's Bakery. We were in the area to attend a funeral at the VA Cemetery across the road, and needed to get some breakfast for our children. Paco's seemed to be the only food place open in the area, so we thought we would give it a try. When we walked in, it was sort of amazing! Instead of having all the pastries behind a counter and having a server bag up your selections for you, at Paco's every wall was a floor to ceiling display case of pastries. You grabbed a tray and a pair of tongs, and walked around the perimeter of the shop to grab whatever pastries caught your fancy. There were regular rolls, cookies, croissants, hand pies, gorgeous cakes, traditional Mexican pastries, and just about everything you could imagine. There was so much stuff we had never seen before, and we just started grabbing everything that looked interesting. When we were ready, we got into a huge line (the place is tremendously popular!) to get cashed out. When we were done, we had 4 drinks and two shopping bags full of pastries. Our total came to something like $12, which is less than what I would have paid at Starbucks just for the drinks. We took our bounty over to the small seating area, and went to town. Most of the things we picked out were very good. The hand pies were fun, and the croissants were so good that we took them back with us, and used them for breakfast sandwiches the next day. Paco's is the sort of place that I would go back to regularly. I wish I could find a similar bakery in Ft. Worth! read more
