Due to my complex medical history, three different doctors referred me to a rheumatologist. I chose to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kramm based on her positive online reviews, but I felt unwelcomed from the moment she walked through the door. She barely made eye contact, didn't ask follow-up questions as I explained my symptoms, and refused to look at the medical images I brought to reference. Instead, she simply copied past notes from other providers into my chart and told me she could not do anything more for me, dismissing me back to my previous doctors. She was incredibly short with me, insisted she wasn't the right fit, and even suggested I shouldn't have come to see her in the first place. When I asked for a clear reason why she couldn't help me, she couldn't give me one. I absolutely do not recommend her. Now, it's back to square one.

However, Dr. Kramm was the first doctor to spend over 40 minutes looking up and diagnosing my prior lab results (blood panels etc.,) and authoritatively providing me with a diagnosis and a series of future tests and steps I needed to take. She was exceptionally kind and patient with me; she explained everything in a way I could understand. I couldn't be more thankful and grateful. I would sing the praises of Dr. Kramm and the University of Washington, Montlake to everyone I know. My visit with Dr. Kramm, greatly exceeded my expectations. She is literally my lifesaver. Knowing she was at the helm of my treatment plan, gave me hope that I could live more normally and longer with my potentially life -threatening disease.

Nothing beats having surgery in a center that isn't full of people that are sick. ..like in a hospital. The people that come in here don't have illnesses. ..just injuries. The nurses are fantastic, the anesthesiologist is wonderful. ...and I like both of the surgeons I've had surgery with. They are very calming, friendly, and I would recommend them over and over. From insurance approval, to scheduling, to pre op questioning, to check in, pre surgery set up, surgery, post surgery, and the follow up. 5+ Stars for sure! ! Do NOT ever let them record you for their notes because those notes and imformation can be seen by the billing department so not sure how they can violate Hepa but everyone does. Also, if the doctor asks you a question or notices something they just randomly mark it down as a diagnosis and then they bill you more as complex. For example, if you have acne but you came in for another reason and the doctor asks if you have acne and you say - I don't want to be treated for it - literally you say that, they can then write down a diagnosis of acne in your chart and charge you more for the visit. I don't think if the doctor notices something like that which you don't want to be treated for that they have the right to diagnose you without telling you. Make sure if you get asked to tell them that you don't want a "diagnosis". I feel like they are looking for diagnoses to make you complex case. I do not take any medications and have no chronic conditions but somehow UW Med says I am "complex" but no other doctor's practice has ever said that. Be very aware of what you say and what they write down is my recommendation.

I have been going here for six years and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. I have very complex health needs and I always know I will be treated kindly and with respect by everybody here -- doctors, nurses, staff, lab technicians, everybody. The integration with my specialists is terrific. I feel like my entire care team here and at the rest of UW are connected and can help in treating me holistically, not just looking at numbers and stats.

The class room was big with duplex scanning machines set up. The lectures are indepth with power point presentation and those slides printed in a book for each student. The presenters are knowledgeable and have answered questions AND helped with the hands on scanning. The class is full day. The first part of the day(4hrs) is lecture. Then a CATERED LUNCH OF YOU CHOICE. The rest of the afternoon is for hands on scanning. PVI has live models that are normal and have pathology. They are usually clients and pleasant to work with. We had various instructors on different subjects and the Q&A got answered properly. Case studies were shown and as I mentioned each day, 4 hrs of hands on scanning with patients with and without disease. I know that PVI would put a great course together. My first experience with the TCD/TCI course showed me that PVI really put lecture and hands on training is worth the price. Materials are always provided and the instructors are more than willing to give additional information via email. This time around, I got to work with Ridge and Mimi again. But also got to learn from Anne, Lisa and Josh.. all great instructors. ------------------------------------------------------------------- As for Healthcare services. Pacific Vascular is a contractor to many hospitals in King County. All technologists are well trained as PVI is also a Vascular training center for people that meet their qualifications.

I'm a cancer survivor, among other stuff. Nothing about my care is easy, straightforward. Some of my troubles have taken years to bring under control. Dr Hodne is the best partner, life coach, and caregiver anyone can ask for. She and her team have gone above and beyond for me, time and again. Two strategies are proven to improve patient outcomes. Constructive long-term relationships, obviously. Emphasizing wellness over treating disease. Knowing this, I enthusiastically supported Greenlake's switch to a concierge model. The concierge model is a rejection of our nation's immoral, inefficient, profiteering fee-for-service model. It's a return to our Rockwell-esque notions of the family doctor. It allows doctors to spend as much time as needed with a patient, to do research, to coordinate all the referrals, to do battle with insurers, etc. No one is getting rich in family practice. Or running an independent clinic. Do the math, read the news. The providers at Greenlake Primary Care are making huge sacrifices. Just to keep the lights on. Just to deliver actual healthcare. Yes, concierge requires memberships to make it work. Until our nation adopts Medicare For All, it's the best available option. I chose to be a member, despite living off credit cards (at the time), because I wanted to get better. I chose correctly. You can too.

When Dr. Acher announced she was starting a new practice and it would be a concierge medicine practice, I was both confused and intrigued. "You mean I pay even MORE money on top of what I'm already paying for insurance?" I looked into it further both as a concept and as something that had been done successfully on the Eastside. At $100 per month, I decided to give it a try. She said I could phone, text, or email her any day at any time. I didn't believe it at first. But sure enough, I've texted her at night on weekends and she has responded in just a few minutes. Amazing! I don't make a habit of it because Dr. Acher has to live a life, too. My first in-office appointment wasn't even an annual physical, but she talked to me for about 40 minutes. Nothing was hurried. I never felt as if she had to rush to the next patient. I couldn't believe it. For me $8 per day is worth it. I have direct access to my GP. I feel heard and attended to. And she gets to choose how many people are in her practice, which means she can control how busy it gets. Highly recommended!
