I highly recommend this practice/medical team. Both Austin and Alicia, the office staff/medical assistants, are always are SO friendly and go the extra mile to help patients. Any questions/scheduling needs are addressed quickly, their billing is very transparent/affordable and my appointments are always on time. Dr. Scott Greenspahn is very knowledgeable and has helped push me to make progress with both mental and physical health in ways that I am comfortable with. He collaborates to make individualized plans with his patients and checks in on the progress that was made every single visit. He also is fun to talk to and has a great sense a humor. What more could you ask for a doctor?! I moved to Washington a couple of years ago and knew nothing about navigating medical care in a new state. Prior to finding Coho, I called SO many different practices and either did not receive a call back, was overcharged, or was seen by a doctor who did not spend any time getting to know me/didn't care about my overall health. Dr. G is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, caring, and has a great sense of humor. It's truly a pleasure to visit him every year for my annual checkup. I never feel rushed at this office. Dr. Greenspahn is patient with me and is always happy to address my questions and concerns, and I'm the kind of patient that shows up with a printed list of questions :-) The staff is awesome as well. Austin and Alicia are pros at the front desk and the lab, and go out of their way to deal with referrals, labs, and insurance companies. I am surprised that this place gets such a high rating. The doctor is friendly but doesn't really take the time to actually check you out. I had some chest pain and he didn't even listen to my heart. I also had some back pain and he said it's probably my shoes and to see a podiatry, but my shoes and feet are fine. read more

The staff at coho are awesome. They are very down to earth, kind and truly caring. They're equipped to draw blood for bloodwork as well as give vaccines, and the whole staff is trained for it. They have a real family vibe there and you can tell the staff are happy which is one of the first good signs of a solid doctors office. Something else that I really like is I've never felt that they are pushing their own views or beliefs on me. I see Dr Ta there and she's a real pro - the best PCP I've ever had. She takes the time to listen to my symptoms. She *doesn't* gaslight or rush to diagnosis to get me out the door and collect a paycheck. She is thorough and direct, sometimes working long hours to see me through my issues (UNPAID!!!). She knows her limits and has a great network of specialists when an issue has gone beyond her expertise, something I really appreciate and respect. I'm constantly bragging about her and the coho staff to friends and family. If you're sick of dealing with mediocre doctors as I was, go to Coho. I called to make a first appointment with Coho Medical Group and Dr. Scott V. Greenspahn. A rude woman with a menacing voice picked up the phone and demanded: "Who is this?!" Not "Hello" or any other greeting. I didn't know what to say except: "Is this a doctor's office"? To my surprise, she hung up the phone. I agree with all the other poor reviews. I'm glad this happened before I made the mistake of visiting such a rude office. I have found a wonderful primary care provider with welcoming office staff. Call and you get an automated menu that says "if you wish to be a new patient, press 2." So I press 2, I get a receptionist who asks me what I want. I say I'm interested in becoming a new patient. She says "sorry, Dr. Greenspahn isn't taking any new patients, though we do have a new doctor coming in a few weeks." I say, ok, what's what first appointment I could get? "Sorry, Dr. Greenspahn isn't taking any new patients." But you just told me a new doctor is coming in a few weeks.... "As I said we do have a new doctor coming in a few weeks." Can I get an appointment? "Dr. Greenspahn is not taking any new patients." You can't make this up. 1. Why is the automated menu still trying to tell people they can become new patients? It would take 5 seconds to fix that... 2. Train the receptionist in the art of customer service and also teach her about friendliness especially when dealing with people who obviously have medical concerns... 3. If not #2, then save money and get a robot receptionist like the big Chinese computer companies have since the human receptionist already acts like one. read more

A Small Office of Caring People I normally go to a naturopath but at some point I knew I would need an MD as well. I was looking for a doc that would tolerate my beliefs about wanting to try a natural solution first, then move on to pharmaceuticals if I had to. My first appointment was today and I was impressed. Nice people, Dr. Ta not only spent a lot of time with me, she didn't push, knows her stuff, has lots of experience, was personable and really quite funny! FYI: just called to become a new patient. If you have insurance-they won't take you. Unless... you pay $100 month fee to become a member-then they will take you as a patient. High end service for people with insurance and $100 per month to be a member. Prime location in Bellevue, the clinic itself is very neat and clean. I made an appointment on line with dr Ha Ta. It was easy to use the clinic webpage, my appointment was confirmed immediately. I was contacted by the MA To confirm the date and the time, i asked if the new patient paperwork would be emailed to me. Sure enough my request was honored w/o hesitation. At check in it was all great and smooth. I have only great things to say about dr. Ha Ta. She is very compassionate extremely detailed and knowledgeable. I definitely appreciated her direct approach. I was able to have all my labs drawn at the office. Once labs resulted I was notified by Dr Ha herself and in timely fashion. Excellent clinic it ha a very personal feel unlike big organization driven settings. read more

My first priority in medical care from a primary care physician is diagnostics. Dr Ta conducted a thorough intake and covered my medical background, which obviously aids in diagnosis. Options were reviewed and supporting imaging .. they were even able to draw blood in the office and move the lab work along quite quickly. As an aside, telephone scheduling was simple, the office had ample parking and was easy to locate, and reception had proper Covid protocols in place. Truly superb. No long waits prior to being seen, easy to schedule appointments (within days rather than weeks or months like most places). **Flexible during pandemic (virtual visits as appropriate, lab testing can be done at nearby pharmacies rather than going in to clinic if not otherwise needed, etc). Office is pandemic-safe = hygienic, distanced as appropriate, vigilant screening and masking procedures.** Dr. G is a really smart (and funny) doc who tells it to you straight, gives his recommendations and lets you decide what's best for you. I've been totally impressed with his knowledge of the most current evidence for various medical treatments and issues. Where else can you call or text your doctor directly rather than going through some robot answering machine? I recommend him to anyone that asks for a great primary care MD. read more

Here are a few reasons why. 1) Making an appointment is easy online. 2) When you call his office, Sara picks up, not a robot. 2a) Sara is very friendly. 3) When you walk in, the office is clean, modern and cozy in a Pacific Northwest-y way. 4) Dr. Greenspahn is professionally competent but is also the most down-to-earth doc I've met. I have had "concierge" physicians before but Dr. Greenspahn is in a separate category by himself. First of all, he's an exceptional physician - this should be a given, right? Well it isn't and he's a super smart, great-listening care provider. Secondly, he's cost conscious. Tests and services are all either thoughtfully considered or he's somehow got a discounted way to accomplish what other providers undoubtedly get compensated for. His monthly costs are substantially lower than higher-profile, lower-service outfits in the area. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to determine who I'm referring to there. Third, he's thorough. He gets to know you and you will spend quite some time going through your history and goals. He's a no-bullshit guy, but he's very affable at the same time. He's not into wasting *patient* time but is very generous with his. Lastly, I find him to be a great guy who is sincerely interested in his vocation. If you're in the market for an internist, you'll be making a mistake not meeting Scott Greenspahn. Dr. Scott Greenspahn is an amazing primary care doctor and the way he built Coho Medical to save patients money is great. I have been a patient for about a year now and I can say that not only is my health better but I have also saved a LOT of time and money. Most doctors are hard to reach, hard to schedule an appointment with, and usually run late and are in a hurry when you go to see them. This is absolutely not the case here. Dr. Greenspahn responds promptly to email (YES, as in regular email, not some stupid portal you have to log in to). He also calls back and follows up promptly on all requests. When you go for an appointment there is no waiting, he is waiting to see you and has enough time scheduled to thoroughly answer your questions. In regards to the unique model of the clinic imagine not worrying about getting charged an unknown amount each time you go to the doctor. Regardless of insurance every visit to most clinics results in random amounts being owed for this or that, the tests are marked up (like 10x compared to the cost Coho charges, which is simply passed on at their cost) and you never have a clue what to expect in terms of billing. When you call most clinics with a health problem the doctor wants you to come in to get a prescription for a routine antibiotic--why, simply because they don't get paid if you don't visit. By paying a very low monthly fee you avoid all of this and have unlimited access to a true professional. This is the way all medical clinics should be run--and it costs less than paying the 20% coinsurance or the copays that most medical plans charge you to go to a normal clinic. I absolutely cannot recommend this clinic or Dr. Scott Greenspahn any more strongly. read more

Making an appointment is easy and Sara makes the in and out process easy. I took a blood test here and they gave me the results super quickly and explained everything to me in detail which I really appreciate. Dr. Greenspahn is great! I went with my husband to see what it was about because we don't have health insurance at the moment. It is a monthly fee of around $59.00 and to put it simply it gives you access to a doctor anytime you need it. He was very informative and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. We didn't feel rushed at all and he was easy to talk to. The medicine he prescribed for my husbands back pain was also very cheap...about .3 cents a pill. I highly recommend going to Coho Medical Group if you don't have insurance and need to see a doctor. read more
