Since I live closer to the downtown Bellevue Safeway location, I first went there around noon, as Quest Diagnostics is located inside Safeway. Located by the pharmacy area, Quest Diagnostics has a separate room for customers, which I didn't realize until I was searching for it. I must've passed by this room so many times when I've shopped at Safeway. When I walked in, there was no one there and the room was empty. There was a sign by the front desk area that said to sign in, with an arrow pointing to something, but there was no touchscreen tablet or device to do so. I decided to sit there for a bit, to see if someone was around. Someone with a white lab coat walked in (not sure if she was with QD or the pharmacy), as she was unlocking the door to a room. I asked her if there was anyone around with QD, and she said that they were all out at lunch. Since it was the noon hour, I assumed that it was until 1PM, so decided to do some errands around east Bellevue and would visit the other Safeway location. It would be nice for this location to have some signage of availability, so customers aren't waiting around for an hour. Which brings me to the review for this Quest Diagnostics. Just like the downtown Bellevue location, QD was located near the pharmacy area inside Safeway, with its own separate room. I walked in and saw that the front desk had a sign, indicating that employees were out to lunch and would return at 1PM. There was also a tablet where you could sign in, and after doing so, your name is on the TV, so you can see how long the wait time is. This was a much better experience than the downtown Bellevue location! Once I dropped off the sample, that took less than five minutes with the employee who helped me, which was an easy peasy process. I would recommend visiting this location in Bellevue for a more transparent and pleasant experience.

If they weren't there I don't think my blood would've been drawn at all. While this is the closest location to me, I'm definitely going elsewhere for testing because they insist on having the incompetent technician (try to) do the job. If the other technicians were the ones initially doing the blood draw I would be good, but as long as the incompetent one is there I will not be back. Their personnel are quite polite and sensitive the comfort of the patient. While in the waiting room during one of our bi-monthly visits, a woman came in and wanted an infusion. She was told she didn't have an appointment, to which she replied 'Well, I'm here now'. To my amazement, they worked her in and she got her infusion. While I (and I'm sure they!) definitely would not suggest this approach whatsoever, it does show how much they work to accommodate their patients. I definitely would not try that with my Overlake GP in Issaquah, where when I was 20 minutes late due to traffic, was told to leave and reschedule weeks/months out. I saw the low rating here, with very few responses, so felt I should comment as to our very good experiences with this organization.

I've since been visiting with a PA, Christopher D, and his care and bedside manner is top tier. The treatment plan and follow up plan is helping to manage my pain. And for that I'm grateful. The staff at the desk is friendly and helpful. You do have to wear a mask in the entire facility. I had an MD eval, labs, a CT scan, and a fluid bolus, and I was out of there in a little over an hour. For anyone not in healthcare, that is wildly impressive. Considering most wait times in the ER or urgent care can easily exceed 6-8 hours, this experience really stood out to me and absolutely warranted a review update. The clinic was super clean, organized, and the whole process felt incredibly streamlined from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kept everything moving quickly without making the experience feel cold or rushed. That is a hard balance to strike in healthcare, and they nailed it. His explanations were vague, dismissive, and barely met the minimum standard of care. I ended up getting more useful information from the medical assistants than from him. After being fitted with a leg brace, I asked a few basic questions such as what position my leg should be in and how long I should wear it. Instead of giving clear guidance, he responded with "I don't know". I cannot fully straighten my leg after my fall, so I asked whether it needed to be straight in the brace or simply kept in a comfortable position. Rather than answering professionally, he mocked me and mimicked the way I was walking, claiming it was "almost impossible" to walk with a bent leg ... That is exactly how I had been forced to walk into the clinic due to the pain in my knee when attempting to straighten it. Being dismissed, mocked, and given inadequate medical guidance while in pain is completely unacceptable. His behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and frankly appalling. I would strongly advise others to AVOID seeing this doctor. The rest of the medical staff were lovely.
