I can't recommend Pack-Men Movers enough. I found them through yelp, and I am so thankful that I did. Their prices are extremely low, but this is not a "you get what you paid for" type of deal. They did AMAZING. They moved so fast, they didn't break a single thing (and with any move, you honestly have to expect a few things to be broken). We are so happy we hired Pac-Men Movers. Best money we've spent in a long time! We had two storage pods and a house full of furniture and boxes. Somehow, they got most of our belongings in the two pods, despite the fact that we have a 3600sf home with patio furniture and a garage full of stuff. Very professional. Was able to speak with a coordinator to figure out how many movers and what size truck I needed. Movers arrived on time and were very careful with the environment and the furniture itself. They got to my new place quickly and once again handled everything with care. Scheduled this move two weeks prior. Paid for 3 men team. (two guys and a girl and the owner sporadically) They showed up 5 hours late without a dolly or tools, like a screwdriver. (He had me cancel the appliance dolly i reserved.) They then helped themselves to my tools without asking me. The owner assured me he would be there, drive the truck and take care of everything. He was there for a couple of hours at max for a six hour move and left with the female crew member for an hour to get a dolly!! He did not drive the truck and left . He seemed to say whatever he needed to appease the situation and did not always tell the truth. The actual moving crew worked really hard and were nice and respectful. I felt bad for them as they were trying to get the job done without the tools they needed. I do appreciate all their hard work. read more

Great experience using Pack-Men Movers. Like a lot of other reviewers, I didn't know where to start when looking for a good mover so I came to yelp and got a quote from a few of the top rated companies in Chicago. Pack-Men were cheaper than the others, and working with Jeanny to schedule the move was super easy. On move day Miguel, Fernando, and Juan showed up and quickly started taking care of business. They finished in exactly the amount of time that was originally estimated, and I'm sure they would have been even faster if it wasn't for a tricky couch they had to deal with - it wouldn't fit in the elevator so they carried it down 4 flights of stairs. They were friendly and took great care of all of our stuff, and went to the trouble of putting everything wherever we wanted it in our new apartment. Highly recommend Pack-Men! read more

I've moved a good handful of times in my life and have always moved myself but this time I decided to use a moving company and a friend recommended Pack Men Movers. I am so glad that I followed through on his recommendation because they were so great. I had Salvador, Orlando, and Tony and they wrapped all the furniture a few times around, set up my hanger boxes for clothes, and even took apart a storage shelf for me. I had never used a moving service before and was going to try to do most of my move myself and use Dolly for the big pieces. I'm so thankful a friend of mine told me that was a bad idea and to use Pack-Men instead. I was able to easily get a quote and schedule the service a few days ahead of time via email. Received a text confirmation the day before which gave me peace of mind. My 3 movers, Salvador, Max, and Raul arrived on site about 15 minutes early and I instructed them which items would be packed up and which would be moved to the dumpster. They were so quick and efficient and did not need much direction from me at all! We got my entire apartment packed up and loaded within an hour (I'm on the second floor). They took special care wrapping up furniture that needed it in padded tarps, which they provided along with tape. There's a charge for this btw, about $35. The men drove to my new place and quickly unloaded everything. They offered to reassemble my furniture, but as the former tenant hadn't moved out of my room yet, I didn't take them up on this. Overall, they were a joy to deal with - professional and efficient. There's a travel fee of $124 added to the cost, and the rest is charged by the hour, so with 2 hours of work + packing materials and tip, my move ended up costing me around $500. Not cheap, but I've heard nightmares about other moving companies and this one was a dream. If you've got the cash, I'd recommend using them. If you don't, I'd recommend saving up and then using them. I'm very satisfied and am sure I'll be a return customer. read more

After getting over 12 rip off quotes from other moving companies, I just had to try Pack-Men Movers to see if what others said rang true. So very impressed with these guys!!! From the booking, where they answered all my questions very quickly, to the actual move... Amazing. They called when they were 30 mins. away, showed up before the scheduled start time, moved quickly the entire time and didn't complain about the inordinate amount of stuff we had. What a world of a difference getting movers makes! This was our first time getting movers, and I am so glad we went with Pack-Men. I was a little nervous because they don't have much of a website and they don't send a confirmation e-mail so everything is basically based on trust. However, we had no problems at all. Even though I'm exhausted from my move today, I had to sign in and post this review for Pack Men movers. These guys are the absolute best!! I had my scheduled move today, movers showed up ahead of schedule and ready to start, unfortunately out of nowhere their truck was wrongfully towed (screw you Lincoln Towing). We hadn't started the actual move yet but the whole truck was gone, the movers (I believe their names were Edgar and Roberto, sorry if I got that wrong) were so professional the entire time even though they had never had an experience like this before. They called their corporate office who were beyond helpful and actually sent someone to pick them up from my apt and retrieve the truck. All this, on a Sunday of all days.. The fact that their office was even able to accommodate them and me on a day when they're technically closed was so awesome. After returning with the truck, the movers let me know that I would not be charged for the time lost and that they were going to reset my clock to start at that time instead. Absolutely amazing service shown by both the corporate office and these two men. They then proceeded to move everything for me in a quick manner and drove all the way to the suburbs from the city for my drop off. They were helpful, careful, and courteous the entire time. I genuinely enjoyed having them as my movers. All in all, today was quite the experience but Pack Men movers handled it with class, they were apologetic for the tow (even though it was in no way their fault at all) and they never made me compensate for it by charging me extra etc. I will forever recommend Pack Men Movers to anyone that is moving in the Chicagoland area, their prices, customer service, and entire experience far surpassed my expectations. A person in our building used this company and when tenants told them they had to move out from the back stairs and not the front the moving crew got aggressive with the tenants. The movers ended up getting kicked off the property and stopped the move. Super rude and did some damage in our hallway with the pieces of furniture they did bring down. read more

We needed to move a relative from an apartment in the city to a condo and were looking for reasonably priced, quality movers. Pack-Men movers far exceeded my expectations. This was by far the best move I have experienced. They estimated 4 hours for the move and completed it in only 3 hours, including the 20 mile drive. We were only charged for the 3 hours! The movers - Julio, Fernando and Edder - dealt with extremely cold weather and hustled like I have never seen before. The were almost running in order to get the job done. Salvador and Alex did a fantastic job moving my stuff quickly and safely. Communication was great from setting up the move to the day of. They were friendly - and put up with my dad trying to talk about random stuff while they were carrying things. I could not beat the price! I knew I did not have the nicest stuff and could take a chance with the lowest quote I received. Now I know I could move with them again when I have better stuff that needs their level of care during the move. Great moving experience! 5 stars all the way. Julio and Jesus helped me move from Gold Coast into a studio in Lakeview in 2.5 hours. They called to confirm they were on their way, showed up on time, were very efficient but careful with everything, and were both very friendly and polite. About as much as you could ask for! The office staff was also excellent. Jeanny provided clear information on the rates (which were the lowest I found and completely transparent) and confirmed the details of the move a few days beforehand. I was a bit worried when Pack-Men was one of the only companies I could find available for an end-of-month move AND when their rate was so reasonable, but it really was as good as it sounded. read more

We did not move far (about 200 feet down the alley), but the guys were helpful in moving some things into the basement, some onto our new porch and some things into the garage. Highly recommend PACKMEN MOVERS! They are nice, polite, fast and absolutely on-time! I moved from an one bedroom to another one bedroom which couple blocks away and cost me $225. ($90 per hour and one time car fee $45). They didn't charge me for furniture wrapping such as TV and mirror and mattress.
