While exploring downtown after moving into the area, we happened upon Pacific Yard House and stopped in to have a beer and an appetizer. The craft beer selection wasn't bad and we tried something new as we are new to Texas craft beer. We also ordered the Beer Cheese and Pretzels; House made Shiner bock beer cheese served with deep fried pretzels tossed in sea salt. The most awesome pretzels we have ever had! Right then, we knew we had found a great place. We returned with friends to listen to some live music and try out some of their entrees. I ordered the Smoke House Burger: A beef patty with melted mixed cheese, pulled pork, fried onion, bourbon glaze, and fried jalapeno chips. This was an awesome burger as were the onion rings! Big and full of flavor, I really enjoyed my meal! My wife went with the Bourbon Glazed Salmon: Bourbon marinated salmon served on a bed of rice and basted with bourbon glaze. My wife said that this was some of the best pieces of salmon she had ever had. The service as good we the hostess Coco was outstanding! Fun to chat with and a wealth of knowledge about this restaurant. The food is always amazing and there's a nice variety of items to choose from. The staff is on point and always super fast and friendly. The cocktails are to die for and the atmosphere is perfect. This is one of the trashiest and most unprofessional restaurants in the area. I'm a delivery driver and called to place a to-go order and had to hang up to call the customer, and when I tried to call back (at least 10 times over 20 minutes), all I got was voicemail every time. I don't know how that could possibly happen to a restaurant that cares at all. I then drive to the restaurant to place the order in person because they're unreachable otherwise, and informed them of the fact that I called 10 times after getting an answer and got sent straight to voicemail, and I kid you not when I say they absolutely could not have given less of a shit about it. We've been to this place many times and usually it's great. Today we showed up with our service dog as we always do and were discriminated against and weren't served. When asked why we were being segregated, the response was "because the manager said so". When I mentioned the legal status of a service dog, it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Such a shame. read more

I wanted to like it here more, but we found we spent a lot of money and the food was not very good. I got the catfish po' boy and my friend the tequila lime chicken. He ended up sending the chicken back as it was under cooked. Catfish was only a couple of very small salty fish pieces. Been meaning to check this place out for a few years now. Outside looks like a small tucked away place, but inside is much bigger than expected. Loved the exposed brick, the stage for live music is a good size. Thiugh we didn't see anyone, it was still a good space and can be seen from every angle of the space. Service was good even though it was quite busy during a late lunch rush. Food was great, along with their drinks. Waitress Jessica was horrible. We went on our lunch break and didn't get our food order in until an hour later. We watched everyone come in, eat, pey and leave, while we were sitting there. we asked "what flavor drinks do you have" she pointed to a menu and said "those 3" then when we told her we couldn't see the names she said "I can't either, let me go ask. She dropped off the food and never came back. I eventually had to request a manager twice before she came out, she gave a 50% discount but charged my card a different price. First time here (to eat) and it did not disappoint! I've only been to the bar, which has a great selection of craft beers. This time it was a family meal. In downtown Conroe where no masks are required and very few are seen . We were seated quickly and met by our unmasked server quickly. Ordered drinks and queso & chips with guacamole and salsa. Very good queso and guacamole. Salsa was good. The menu has a little of everything. They had daily specials. It was Wednesday, which meant Fried pork which is what my wife ordered. The breading was very good and the meat quite tender. They also had a daily special or prime rib steak with a loaded baked potato. Very good!! My Son ordered the chicken fried steak and the other some quesadillas. The boys devoured their meals. They also have a kids menu but they ordered off the regular menu. The food was really good and service was even better!! We will definitely be going back here. Great to see restaurants open at or near capacity without the government restrictions!! The food was great! The chicken wings were really good. I had the club sandwich and it was good. No complaints there. We are here on a Wednesday when they are having Trivia night and that's kind of fun to watch or play. It's big and open inside and doesn't feel crowded. The service was the only thing lacking. All of our food came out at different times. Then my fiancé was waiting for his beer before he started eating. The bar was also really slow. By the time his beer arrived, his food was very cold. They also switched our card with another customers check and charged us about $23 more than our bill. So now we have two charges on our account until the wrong one falls off. The Boudain balls were my favorite! If you haven't tried these I suggest giving these a try! Fried to perfection and full of flavor. The club sandwich was quite good as well. I think the bread was pan fried or something as it was very greasy. I couldn't definitely go without that. Just plain bread is fine for me lol. Overall very solid meal. Stopped in on a road trip that brought us through Conroe. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived mid afternoon. The food wasn't bad (except the tortellini side is literally just plain boiled pasta). We probably would have returned again if the service weren't so awful. Our server (receipt said Sabrina) was so rude. It started out fine, but once our food was dropped off, she didn't return to check if we were okay for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile we needed assistance and couldn't even catch her eye. We asked for some sauce for the tortellini and waited another 10 minutes without sauce coming. Finally I flagged her down and asked if she could cancel the sauce and bring the check. She brought the check and once she took our card I realized we had been charged $5 for tortellini. The fish dinner we ordered had 2 sides. On the menu tortellini was not listed on the premium sides so it seems the menu needs an upgrade. When we told her this, her attitude was awful. No apologies and didn't even speak to us; she just went to get a menu and ran to her coworker to talk while we sat there confused. Finally a manager (who was very kind) came over and we explained the issue. The tortellini is premium I guess so we didn't mind paying the $2 up charge, but the attitude and lack of apologies from the waitress was appalling and is 100% the reason we won't return. We'll try another Conroe restaurant next time we come through. read more

They main issue we had was a service here. We had to wait several mins before the servers could decide who had our table. We had a party of 4, Sunday April 6th 12:30 pm.for lunch we were the only ones out on the enclosed patio. We ordered 4 soft drinks took about 15 minutes to get them. We ordered our food, slow coming out but the kicker is they bring the food to My husband and my nephew and the waitress not our waitress told us the fish and chips that my Neice and I ordered was not available, she asked if we wanted anything instead. I said why didn't you tell us that when you realized we were not getting any food, she had not a clear answer to why the lack of communication and plus I told her we need a menu. So we ordered and by the time ours was there the guys were done eating. I believe our server was working the bar also, we asked for music to be turned down she said sure well that never happened. Original server came to table and asked if we were done we said yes expecting the table would be cleared, nope she just walked away and took forever to get our tab, my husband had to get up and ask for our tab,she did say manager discounted or food ($12). My question is why the Manager didn't approach our table, she wasn't that busy she was sitting at the door when we left. We have been to this location several times with no problems and if it was only one thing that was wrong I would not be writing this as you can see it was several things.Oh and no drink refills but she did ask if we wanted drinks to go. We've only been here twice and both times was with a fairly large group for birthday celebrations. We called ahead and they had a table already set up. The service was outstanding. Even with a large group, nobody waited for a thing and our drinks were always full. Everyone raved about the food. Each appetizer and entree was absolutely delicious! They even brought out small plates and forks for the birthday cakes we brought. The first time there was live music. The sound system there is incredible! Last night was trivia night and everyone had a blast! The place was really hopping for a Wednesday night too. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back. The decor/feel of the restaurant is what sets this place apart from the competition in downtown Conroe. When you first walk in, you have the option to sit in high rise tables (typically for bar customers) or low rise tables (regular dining). You will love the character this place has to offer and the live bands that play on Saturday's. The bar offers regular domestic and plenty of craft beers (weekly rotation). Pricing is very reasonable! The menu has an extensive list for appetizers/sandwiches and a very simple list for entrees. This concept makes sense because it is a bar so keep that in mind. I had the chicken fried check with mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese. The chicken and potatoes were absolutely perfect but I was extremely disappointed in the Mac & cheese. I'm not sure if I got the last scoop of the batch but it was extremely dry and had zero flavor. So we walked in and eager to try this locale and were met with a sign stating that the city damaged their gas line and no food was being served but cocktails and drinks were available. We understood stuff happens that's outside of a business's control and so walked in anyway. The first thing I noticed was that about 1/3 of the available tables were unbussed and there was a lot of stuff just scattered along the bar. There seemed to be plenty of staff on hand. I get that they probably lost hot water and washing dishes was going to be impossible but picking up the tables was well within their ability. It was not crowded, maybe 8 patrons in the place. So we sat down and I opted for their advertised Sunday Bloody Mary bar, but was told they didn't have anything to put out for that daily special. At that point we gave up and decided to try again another day when their locale wasn't having so many overwhelming difficulties. So for now...2 stars because of the lack of clearing tables and strangely enough, not having the stuff for a Bloody Mary bar, which isn't any sort of ingredient that requires gas or cooking. One of my favorite spots to go in downtown Conroe! The food is consistently delicious and they have a good selection of beer on tap! Happy hours is Monday - Friday 11-7 (if I remember correctly) they have $3 dollar pints of certain beer (blue moon, Miller, and ultra are a few). They have a special each day as well food wise! Last night we got the buffalo chicken sandwich which it was literally a whole chicken breast! Worth the money as it was super tasty!
