Fries are to die for! Such a funky shape. You can ask for them without the beef tallow, ask for the veggie fries. Service is friendly and they check in often. Meat was a bit too rough for my taste (ordered medium rare). Ambiance is great! Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Non alcoholic cocktail was yummy and tasted like it was alcoholic, so a win for me. Great place for work dinners, which is what I came for. Parking available next door.

I should have known better... Mother's Day and Valentine's Day are probably the two days you just don't go out to eat. But I thought brunch would be different, and honestly, I thought if anyone could pull it off, Pacific Standard could. Wrong. We made a reservation for 7 people at 1:00 PM to celebrate both my mom and mother-in-law. We waited to eat all day and were really looking forward to it. First disappointment was being told the trio option that's on the website wasn't available. Not a huge issue, just a letdown. But then things really went downhill. We didn't even order until around 1:30. Long wait, but we tried to be understanding because it was a holiday. The food finally came out after 3:00 PM and was honestly terrible. My child's pancake had to be sent back THREE times: * First one was freezing cold * Second one came out burnt to a crisp * Third one still wasn't edible My chopped salad was basically a bowl of cabbage. Nothing "chopped" about it besides cabbage overload. The steak and eggs my husband ordered tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. At the end, the response was essentially: "Sorry about that." They said we took off your drinks... two sparkling waters, and apple juice, and comped the brie appetizer. To top it off, they said they also automatically added gratuity because we were a large party. I completely understand holidays are busy, but waiting over two hours for food that was inedible made for a really disappointing Mother's Day experience.

TL;DR - gigantic whiskey/whisky options! Amazing cuts of meat. Tomahawk steak (for 2) was tender and perfectly cooked. Great service and ambiance. I'm so happy to know an awesome steak restaurant with a HUGE whiskey library exists in the south bay! Seriously, look at the two pictures of their Whiskey menu that I included in this review...That's literally front and back lol. The owner is a big collector of them. So if you wanted to go to a nice steak restaurant and expand your whiskey palate, then this is a solid place to go. They have a variety of cuts and we went with the tomahawk. It was so delicious. Beautifully cooked, tender, and flavorful. It is meant for two people. It comes with two salad options, sides, and dessert. Overall we had a fantastic time and would come back again. The ambiance was nice. Not loud, not too quiet. Perfect for having a conversation with a group or a date. Service was amazing. They checked up on us very frequently. I'll be coming back for sure!

Truly Exceptional in Every Way! From the moment we walked in, the experience at Pacific Standard Prime in Redondo Beach was absolutely top-notch. A warm, friendly greeting from the host set the tone for the evening, and the service only got better from there. Sommelier Peggy provided outstanding wine recommendations, from the elegant pre-meal Champagne to a beautifully balanced Nebbiolo that paired perfectly with dinner. Mark delivered impeccable service throughout the evening, and it was a pleasure to meet Kevin, the owner, whose passion for hospitality shines through in every detail. The Wagyu ribeye was one of the best I've had -- cooked to perfection, rich, and full of flavor. The sides were equally impressive, and while I didn't need dessert, I'm so glad we shared one... it was incredible! Capped off the night with a nightcap at the bar with Sharon, which was the perfect way to end an already memorable evening. A+ experience from start to finish! Pacific Standard Prime sets the standard for fine dining in the South Bay. Highly recommended!

What a gem! I came here for my boyfriend's birthday.. it was random. We ate everything! The ambience was great, service top tier! Good music & tv on bar side.

This review is for a cooking class I took recently at the restaurant. The best part is the honor bar, so if you're into drinking generous amounts of wine this is your place! They had a Chardonnay and a cab that day. The cost of the class included the food, honor bar and gratuity so a great value for heavy wine drinkers all for $100. In terms of the food it was also good, with the best dish being the Jidori chicken mushroom and scallion crepes. The only thing I wished was that we got two instead of one crepe since it was sooooo good. Recommend the cooking class to those who love wine.

Manager offered a 20% comp due to bad wait times (left). When we actually paid, they switched to 1% comp (right).

Update: Kevin Leach reached out to us immediately after the review and corrected the charges. Rating updated to 4, which now reflects our opinion of the food and service outside of the charge issue.

Ok 1000/10!! The food was really good! I liked the overall quality of the food and the steaks were on point! The server was really friendly and was very knowledgeable on the menu! The service was also quick and the ambiance was a 10/10! I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

This steakhouse features Australian wagyu style beef steaks. I wish I had known this before I went. The only reason for the 4 stars is the flavor of the steaks was just not what I wanted. The non steak menu items were great! Service was great! But our steaks were just not satisfyingly "beefy" in flavor. And for $650 for a party of 5 (no alcohol) I wanted the steaks to satisfy. Will go back... but not for the steaks.

My husband and I recently came here for dinner for a date night. Reservations were easy to make via OpenTable. When I walked in I noticed a very casual bar with a TV. But the rest of the space had a more formal vibe more appropriate for a steakhouse dinner date. We sat at a lovely velvety booth that was very spacious and comfortable! I loved the ambience--both contemporary yet cozy. It's slightly dim lit but not too dark. Great for a date, special occasion or a nice family dinner. We shared the following: - Kumamoto Oysters - very fresh! Loved the mignonettes it came with! - Warm Sourdough Boule - underrated item! Wow this bread was SO good! I'm not a big bread person but I really enjoyed this. It was perfectly baked, warm, soft on the inside with a delightful chewy and crispy thin crust. It came with a delicious aromatic olive oil and a compound butter with edible florals. - Porterhouse Steak - made up of a filet and New York strip, served cut from the bone and sliced. I especially enjoyed the filet side. Overall, it was a good steak but not amazing in my opinion. Not as good as Mastro's, but for the South Bay, it's probably one of the best in this area along with The Arthur J. - Charred farmers market chimichurri broccoli - skip this. I wouldn't get this again. I was expecting more of a charred flavor but it was overpowered by too much acid/citrus. It had a sour taste and an unbalanced flavor profile. Maybe it was an off day. Service here was excellent! It really stood out as a notch above the usual standard service at other restaurants. Every staff member we encountered was great. We even noticed the owner walking around and engaging with guests which was nice to see. Parking: free and super easy in the parking garage next to it

I used to have tacos from the taco truck across the street from me when I lived in San Pedro and they were just perfect, simple and on point. I think I had that idea when I ordered the taco, but it wasn't really what I expected. It was bigger and looked beautiful, but the amount of spice was extremely high, which didn't even let me taste the flavor. And on top of it, the salt felt off too. Too much spice, not enough salt. My fiance ordered tamales, and the mole was more on the chocolate side than anything. The flavors just didn't match. Service wise we have nothing to complain about. They were nice and helpful! It's just the food that wasn't good for us.

And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.
