I wish this guy would have told me why my charger was overheating instead of letting me buy a new charger for 150 bucks. I learned through my own research that the charger was overheating due to a super low battery (deep cycle). The way he operates is if you know the answer to something he will agree but not offer any insight as to why something may be behaving in a certain way. He will just let you spend more money. Either that, or he didn't have the knowledge. When I asked him about this, his reply was, "I offered to test your charger". Thats like a painter who doesn't use primer because you didn't know to ask him to. I have always liked this store but lately getting any answers is like pulling teeth. I will be watching for new management as I miss the older gentleman that used to work there. Glad I pulled my old charger out of the trash. read more

These guys are amazing I went in to ask about my battery cable and they walked me through installing a new one and then drove to where my dead car was to help me fix it. All of them went above and beyond! The Customer service was outstanding highly recommend this place! read more

Third day in a row I wake up to a dead battery in my car. I stop by Pacific Power on Main and Garrett and Steven fight over who gets to help me. They work as a team to test my battery and get it replaced quickly. They obviously enjoy where they work, and it shows. I'm going to be coming to this location for all my lighting and mobile battery needs. My dad needed a new battery for his car and since I was running errands I volunteered to take his car while I was out and to pick up a new battery. I came here and was helped by Peter, he was very knowledgable and friendly and made the process painless. I got a solid battery for a good price that has better specs than oem which was what I was looking for. I was also sold on a small LED pen that has a stupid high lumen output for it's size and kelvin rating (it's bright). I'm glad I came here and I'll come here again to swap out the battery in my car and definitely coming back to update my arsenal of LED lights since all of them are BRIGHT. Call ahead to check if they have a battery that fits your car in stock. read more

I needed a deep cycle marine battery and went to the Monroe location. While the pricing was competitive and there was plenty to choose from, I am leaving this review due to the quality of customer service I received from the employee, Billy. I found him to be personable, informed, and extremely enthusiastic about batteries! He guided me to the best battery for me given my price point and power needs. His knowledge of batteries was extensive and far beyond what I have ever encountered in a big box store or auto parts store. It was old school customer service that I thought was gone forever. From our conversation (and my questions) I also gleaned that he was a proud US military veteran, with a history of outstanding service. My big screen TV died exactly two months after the warranty ended. Other than buying a new one, we want to responsibly recycle the broken TV. Online searches led us to here. I always have some hesitation coming to a private business such as this instead of, say, a King County transfer station. Will they have hidden fees, will they try to sell you something, will they point to a bin and tell us (not strong people) to fit it in somehow??? Well, let me tell you how EASY it was. We arrived and parked. We walked in and said we like to recycle a flat screen TV. He said, "No problem. I'll even help you unload." My jaw dropped a bit. We filled out a single line on a form. We opened the trunk. This taller and stronger than us guy singlehandedly took the TV out of our car, brought it inside, and gently placed it standing vertically on its edge in an open-top box lending against another big screen TV. That was it. Free! No cost! I was so shocked at how easy it was that I forgot to take any pictures. He was brilliant. Thank you!

This job was a little bit of a PITA since the battery was under the rear seat. I'm grateful for businesses that operate like this. Their motto on their sign is more than an empty slogan; "Good people selling batteries...for everything"

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place…read more What should have been a simple battery warranty claim turned into a two-hour waste of my time. The battery was sold with a 5-year warranty, yet it failed in less than 3 years. Their testing showed the battery would only charge to 12.5 volts--roughly 75% state of charge on an AGM battery--even after they had it on a charger for four days before testing. Instead of honoring the warranty, I was first told the battery was "good to go." When I challenged that conclusion, they tried to blame the vehicle's alternator despite providing no convincing evidence that the charging system was the problem. The explanation simply didn't make sense. I've been an FAA-certified aviation mechanic for more than 50 years. I'm not easily impressed by technical jargon, and I know the difference between a valid diagnosis and an excuse. In the end, they denied the warranty claim and repeatedly fell back on "company policy" without offering any logical justification. Poor customer service, poor diagnostics, and no willingness to stand behind the product they sold. I left with the same bad battery I came in with and two hours of my life I won't get back. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend this business.

[Location]-- located very close to the super busy Tacoma Mall area. The parking area is very small-- only having 4 or 5 spots, so it can be a pain to get out when the area is busy. Other than that, the store is clean and there aren't any people loitering there. [Experience]-- the employees were pleasant to interact with. I needed a car key replaced and initially the associate wasn't sure their machine could replicate my car key due to how worn it was, so she refunded the programming fee and had me find someone to manually cut it. Fortunately, Home Depot's (they can also replicate most car keys even if they have transponders) machine replicated the key perfectly, so I came back to this location and she was able to use their software to program the key to my car. Overall, I paid $122 for them to do so. It's entirely possible to do this yourself if you order a kit or have two car keys, but considering I needed it done ASAP I am very grateful for this service and I don't think the price is that bad.

I don't think I have seen more beautiful blooms anywhere else! I love that it was heavily focused on local small businesses, farmers, and FOOD. I've been using Pacific Power Batteries for years... and there's a good reason. I bought a new battery for my motorcycle here in July, but then didn't ride for a couple months. I kept the battery on a float charger when I wasn't riding. So when I went to take the bike out for a ride over Labor Day Weekend, it wouldn't start due to a weak battery. I took the battery down to the store, where I met Billy, who ran some tests on it - it passed some of the tests. So I agreed to give it a solid charge using a better charger I have... same result. So I took it back today and the battery was replaced. Customer service is what brought me to the store, and it's what will keep me coming back. Side note for CPAP users who like to be able to sleep during power outages/camping trips - they have a kick ass battery backup system for CPAPs... it all fits neatly into one box, and it comes with an inverter so you can use 120V devices on it. If i didn't already own one from a different place (which I paid more for than Pacific Power charges), I would totally get one of these systems. Much cleaner and nicer setup! read more

I was dead in the water with a bad battery on my motorcycle in Sultan. I figured it was a long shot, but I called PPB (Monroe location) and spoke to their manager Billy. He told me to bring the battery in and he'd get me all sorted out. I was lucky enough to catch a ride with a very nice retired couple that weren't put off by a sweaty stranger in full motorcycle leathers. Got to the store and Billy got me the right battery. Told him my many thanks and came back to the couple still waiting for me. "Well you need a ride back don't you?" I felt so fortunate for everyone involved. Got the battery installed, helmet on, kickstand up and I was on my way! Thanks again Billy, you're the man! read more

Billy and the guys at Pacific Power Batteries in Monroe are the best! I recently had issues with my solar panel/battery emergency backup system and they really treated us right. They go the extra mile, are friendly and very helpful and take the time to educate you about the problem and the fix and help you make the best decision. I can always count on this team for incredible service. For many years they've set me up with exactly what I need, and with patience and a great attitude. Tonight I called in a panic in need of a specific ATV battery. They were closing in 15 minutes and Neil kindly told me to head on down. He searched my purchase history and found the specific battery I bought 6 years ago, and had it in stock! He not only had what I needed in stock but also gave me helpful tips on maintenance for those and my other battery bank that was low on water. Recommended by a friend to deal with 3 boat batteries with a specialty business ..came away with more interest and knowledge in maintenance/value of batteries than going in. Billy is very polite, direct, experienced and appears to be the type of employee any business could only hope to have. I stopped in on Free Wednesday to get my watch battery changed this is a very nice customer service and Billy was there to help me. He was joking and all around nice guy, but what he didn't know is that my 15 year dog was at the vet having surgery and I was concern he might not make it he was so friendly that just for that short time I was able to forget my dog. Billy and his team were amazing. They manged to find some life out of 6 batteries that I completely neglected. They also walked me through the reasoning for my batteries getting to the state I put them in and how to maintain them during their life. I have been into the Monroe store several times to find batteries not carried anywhere else. Though these folks aren't making much money off of me, both Billy and Garrett spent a lot of time making sure my needs were met. I appreciate their professionalism, and always refer others there. This is the place to go if you need a battery. Jake is super knowledgeable and very helpful. I wish I would have know about this place sooner, I could have saved a fair amount of money and time. If you need a battery for your phone or for your tractor, they probably have it. They also make custom battery cables. read more

I just had them install a 8 year warranty battery in my wife's Mercedes for $80 less than Mercedes wanted for a 5 year battery. They were fast and very competent with the installation and did not lose any of the cars electronic setting in completing the installation. I highly recommend Billy in the Monroe store. read more
