We chose the Temo product because it's a lifetime product with zero maintenance: no painting, no termites, no mold, or any fuss. Comparing to a wood counterpart, this type of patio cover is the best fit for our family. We installed one in the backyard years ago and love it so much that we eventually ordered two more. That's right, we have three separate Temo covers from Pacific Patio. The father-son team operate this family owned business with excellent customer service and attention to all your needs. Our front "carport" is excellent these summer days to keep the car cool and protected from the scorching sun and has a cute wrap around to match our existing front patio. It's a custom job for sure, and came out real nice. When it rains (I know it's rare in San Diego), we also stay dry when coming and going, but the real value in this carport is that the rain runoff goes away from the home thanks to the extension this cover brings. It protects our foundation and crawl space from moisture that was previously seeping in. In the backyard, we opted for a cathedral style to match the existing garage and topped it with shingles to match the roof. It's a costly product, but worth every penny. Pacific Patio is clean with their construction as they keep in mind your existing home. For example, I had just built a new fence, and they were very cautious around it. When installing the new cover, the team had to use many ladders to get up high and avoided stepping on the new fence. We receive many compliments from our friends and family on the quality of work from Pacific Patio. On one occasion when I was on the roof installing Christmas lights I noticed a caulk job gone bad. I called Stephen from the team, and he came out the next day to repair it. Excellent service. My recommendation is to get lights. You can never have too much light, and it's so much easier to install it from the beginning. We never got a fan and don't have any regrets on that, but the lights are a must. One topic that I always get to is the post install: I prefer to sink a metal post in a footing and then install the temo post as a sleeve over it. This keeps it very clean without the need to use concrete anchors that are eye sores. Also, the team used different sized bolts and they don't match. It's a nit picky comment, but the first cover had a beautiful post install, and I thought that was the only way that posts go. Later on my other two patio covers, I learned that it was unique, and most posts are installed with these visible anchors, but I don't like them. Also, we had to go through a couple inches of paver bricks, and the anchors were only a few inches total. This means we only sink into the footing about one inch max. It works, but it's not the super strong post that would have been if we sunk metal deep into the 18" footing and cut the bricks to go around. I always look at the six posts that I have and never like this. It's just a topic that you don't know about until the end when the job is complete. Temo has a max height allegedly on their post, and my back patio height exceeded this by five inches therefore we have a visible transition. Not sure if this could be cleaner, but like the concrete anchors, my eye is always drawn to it. Keep the max height in mind for your project, and ask about it ahead of time. Again, this is a minor consideration. So go ahead, get a free quote, and then sign up for the new cover; it's a real nice addition to your home, and will enable long lasting joy! read more

We absolutely love our freestanding large patio cover and pergola. Yes, both! They are both better than we anticipated...strange, I know...but pictures do not do justice to the finish product. The installation met our tight timeframe and was quite professional. The only reason for 4/5 stars is that communication between management/sales and my landscape contractor could have been better so they each could have anticipated needs. Overall, I had a good experience with Pacific Patio. I recieved three quotes and this was the lowest - partially due to the sales rep, Tom, telling me I would be paying for unneccessary features with the other quotes. He seemed trustworthy, so that gave me some comfort. When they came out to install, it was a day process for the demo and install. I was very surprised to see when I got home that the patio was complete. So very quick and it looks great. The only downside was I signed the contract almost 3 months prior. Pacific Patio did a fantastic job on our new patio cover. We have 3/4 solid roof with two fans lights and a section over the kitchen window with 60% cover. They finished in the dark so have to come back for a couple of finish work but I am very satisfied. Their team headed up by Robert was very profeessional. The owner and the owners Son, Steve also came by to check of the progress. I expect all the finish work to be completed next week but it looks very good. I am pleased with their workmanship in our sunroom and the work crew members displayed professional attitude. The only thing I became concerned about was when they tried to charge us additional permit fee. They underestimated the costs associated with the permit. The conversation became a bit tense because I contested the additional charge (not allowed or stated in the contract). Mark eventually agreed not to charge the excess fee after the back and forth discussion. Other than that, Pacific Patio did an excellent job designing and constructing the sun room. Also, my recent repair request to fix a gutter leak under the warranty program was taken cared the same week. Would I hire them again? That was almost a year ago. Fast forward to tax season and I was finally ready to start this project. They not only honored the price I was quoted they to more off if I was ready now (which I was). We started with what we thought was a nice salesman John. From that point it spiralled downhill from there. We ordered a terrarium and John mentioned they could also do replacement windows. Had many issues with window installation. We were advised by salesman that all work was done in house no subs that was not the case. Installer was independent and did not know at all what he was doing. Take advice do not even attempt window replacement with them. Then onto their expertice the terrarium. It also did not go right from the start. I do not believe to this day it was measured correctly, and now it is what it is. Then we were never informed by the salesman about the finish of the fill. Would recommend to everyone to ask for a sample of appearance, not just a brochure. Now onto the good, JD their installer is fantastic and honestly tries to solve issues. Once completed we were not satisfied and Steve came out and made as many of the issues he could handle right. I know the positive posts they have on Yelp. I think a lot of these problems could of been resolved by their sales person. He never called back after the first complaint. Take your time with Pacific Patio and I do think they will make things right. read more

Pacific Patio installed a more than 30' patio cover over a second floor terrace on my home. Their own dedicated crew did a splendid job, and every one of them, especially Jeremy, were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Everything was left clean and tidy every day. Because they didn't want the possibility of any dirt entering my house, they accessed the patio over my first floor tile roof. Several weeks after the job was completed, approved, and paid for, I noticed that a few roof tiles under the access area were cracked. I called Tamara. With little discussion and no argument, they sent out a roofer who promptly replaced the broken tiles. I would recommend Pacific Patio unreservedly. Run! They may have been good in the past but, my current experience has been nothing but, disappointing, low quality, and unprofessional. We had an estimate 8/17/2019, first down payment 8/21/19 promise of completion end of October so in our heads said ok by Thanksgiving latest. Last payment 1/9/2020! Every step of the way no one knew what was going on. Who was coming, what was being done or what had been completed. Except for the concrete group that notified me and kept me up to date. The main office would call us and say these trades are coming. They would do their work, I would check it, call back and say get them back out to redo it correctly. It's like they don't think the homeowner will check or cares. We had a large pavilion done. At one point we had huge holes in the backyard because the office thought the concrete and inspection had already been done. They claim "..we don't use subcontractors.." BS if they have to get paid before they can do, concrete, electrical or roofing- there are subcontractors. Right off the bat when the crew installing the stringer on the house couldn't read the instruction plans and put it way too low, I called and the Project Manager JD actually accused me of telling them to do it wrong. Later my husband went up into the attic and they had missed most of the structure installing it in the right place and we made them reinforce it but it passed inspection just fine. They have their inspectors in their pocket so they can continue to do substandard work. After each job I had to call their poor receptionist and say X wasn't done correct. They had both gutters going towards the house you can see where they missed the saw marks by ¼ inch on the front pillars. Their solution 1, Calking, 2, Calking, 3, stuffing it with foam board, 4, doing it right and taking it off and redoing it so it drained away from the house. The cover for the drain hole which is round and the cover which is square was put on so the square was in the middle of the circle. Come on, simple tasks eluded them. I had to go visit my 101 year old grandma but when I came back again. I had to get a legal size pad and walk the project with them and point out all the defects. And they left paint on the brand new colored concrete, left trash, blew clean up into my pool! Just save yourself the headache and frustration and find another company. I did my research, read the reviews, checked their credentials and everything was fine. Until the work began. I can't image the jobs still not done because they are as forward as I am about getting them to my property to do the work correctly. We finally gave them the final payment and he said thanks for hanging in there with us. I said I had to, you had me hostage since you had some of my money already, here is the final payment , you have stressed and frustrated my whole family and pets, done substandard work for the price paid, now get off of my property. read more

These guy know EXACTLY what they are doing. After they designed the sunroom, they did the legwork in getting our permit; something I know nothing about. I understand this can be a time consuming process and it was great that they did this for us. They finished exactly when they said they'd finish; and it was a big room.
