I am long overdue in writing this. I had a moveable pergola installed a number of years ago. The installation went very smoothly - no problems - a very professional job. In fact I was traveling at the time and came home to great addition to my house. . After a few years I needed some maintenance to the unit. They came out right away and the solved the problem. I have called another time because I wanted to make a modification myself. They responded right away while clearing it with the manufacturer. The moveable pergola, although not cheap, was the best thing I did to my house since I bought it. Well worth the money. My carport cover was in poor condition and needed to be replaced. I did some research and made an appointment with Pacific Patio and I am happy that I did! Pacific Patio has a great team. Every meeting I had from start to finish was pleasant and they are very responsive. Initially, I met with their salesperson, Tom, to discuss measurements, materials, and pricing. Mark, the owner, came out to make the final measurements prior to the project commencing. JB and the construction crew were able to demo and construct the new carport in less than a week. They came back a few days later and installed a motion sensor light and a security camera light on the carport and made sure they both functioned correctly. They did a good job! I have had the carport cover for about a month now. There are no issues to report and I am happy with the finished product! I have received many compliments on the new carport. The price was affordable and they have great service! Whenever I communicated with Tamera, their office manager, she was always pleasant and was happy to address any concerns and I had. Six years ago we had to remove a shade tree from our front yard due to underground problems. But we still needed shade on the front window so we opted to put up a pergola from Pacific Patio. It is a beautiful addition to our yard, provides the shade we need, and is maintenance free. We were very pleased with the entire experience and continue to feel the same today. After success with the pergola we chose Pacific Patio for a more extensive job, replacement of an existing enclosed patio room in the back yard. They did a super job which included demolishing and taking away the old room and building a new room from the ground up. We now have insulated walls, double pane tinted windows, a ceiling fan, and a pitched roof with shingles that ties in beautifully with our existing house. We had an amazing experience with this company and highly recommend them. We just wanted a small free-standing pergola in our backyard that would comply with our HOA's numerous rules. I contacted Pacific Patio on Yelp and received a response right away. We had an easy initial consultation with their sales rep via Zoom, and signed a contract shortly after. I found their prices to be very reasonable. We contacted them in May and their time estimate for completion of the pergola was mid-July, which was spot on. They started installing our pergola on 7/21 and finished in 2.5 days (our project involved removing our existing paver stones and digging/installing 4 concrete footings for the posts, so it was quite labor intensive). We signed the contract in early April and the work was done in early November. Pacific Patio is a full service construction company ready to deliver quality change to your home. We chose the Temo product because it's a lifetime product with zero maintenance: no painting, no termites, no mold, or any fuss. Comparing to a wood counterpart, this type of patio cover is the best fit for our family. We installed one in the backyard years ago and love it so much that we eventually ordered two more. That's right, we have three separate Temo covers from Pacific Patio. The father-son team operate this family owned business with excellent customer service and attention to all your needs. Our front "carport" is excellent these summer days to keep the car cool and protected from the scorching sun and has a cute wrap around to match our existing front patio. It's a custom job for sure, and came out real nice. When it rains (I know it's rare in San Diego), we also stay dry when coming and going, but the real value in this carport is that the rain runoff goes away from the home thanks to the extension this cover brings. It protects our foundation and crawl space from moisture that was previously seeping in. In the backyard, we opted for a cathedral style to match the existing garage and topped it with shingles to match the roof. It's a costly product, but worth every penny. Pacific Patio is clean with their construction as they keep in mind your existing home. For example, I had just built a new fence, and they were very cautious around it. When installing the new cover, the team had to use many ladders to get up high and avoided stepping on the new fence. We receive many compliments from our friends and family on the quality of work from Pacific Patio. On one occasion when I was on the roof installing Christmas lights I noticed a caulk job gone bad. I called Stephen from the team, and he came out the next day to repair it. Excellent service. My recommendation is to get lights. You can never have too much light, and it's so much easier to install it from the beginning. We never got a fan and don't have any regrets on that, but the lights are a must. One topic that I always get to is the post install: I prefer to sink a metal post in a footing and then install the temo post as a sleeve over it. This keeps it very clean without the need to use concrete anchors that are eye sores. Also, the team used different sized bolts and they don't match. It's a nit picky comment, but the first cover had a beautiful post install, and I thought that was the only way that posts go. Later on my other two patio covers, I learned that it was unique, and most posts are installed with these visible anchors, but I don't like them. Also, we had to go through a couple inches of paver bricks, and the anchors were only a few inches total. This means we only sink into the footing about one inch max. It works, but it's not the super strong post that would have been if we sunk metal deep into the 18" footing and cut the bricks to go around. I always look at the six posts that I have and never like this. It's just a topic that you don't know about until the end when the job is complete. Temo has a max height allegedly on their post, and my back patio height exceeded this by five inches therefore we have a visible transition. Not sure if this could be cleaner, but like the concrete anchors, my eye is always drawn to it. Keep the max height in mind for your project, and ask about it ahead of time. Again, this is a minor consideration. So go ahead, get a free quote, and then sign up for the new cover; it's a real nice addition to your home, and will enable long lasting joy! read more
