Complete remodeling of a 30-year-old pool and Jacuzzi.(Pacific Paradise Pools) did a fantastic job. Rich Tonti and his team were on top of every detail. Quality was top-notch. We recommend them without hesitation. read more

A five star company from start to finish. We met with other companies before deciding to go with Pacific Paradise. We were told by two other companies that they could complete our remodel in 5 weeks for a graduation party we wanted to throw for our daughter. Rich was our last contractor to meet with us. After explaining the steps involved in the job, 5 weeks promised by the others seemed impossible. Two weeks for plan check, time for the gunite to cure, various stages of masonry and so on. We felt the others were going to over promise and under deliver. 8 weeks was an expected time frame as explained by Rich. We signed with Pacific Paradise to do our remodel. Rich came up with a great design that satisfied our wants. They are detailed and trustworthy. From start to finish, we had people working everyday on our backyard transformation. Every step was done to perfection. Not my words but the words of the inspectors. There was not one correction that needed to be done. The finished job far exceeded our expectations. We didn't have a graduation party but had a going of to college party. All our guests loved our new backyard retreat. Thank you Pacific Paradise Pools. read more

We settled with Pacific Paradise after interviewing a few companies for our new pool and jacuzzi project. Everything about this company was on point. The quote was fair, itemized, and complete. And the payment schedule was clearly outlined in advance. No surprises. Everyone at the company was awesome! Bert met with us many times to plan the pool to get the design and layout just right! The communication level from the project coordinator, Kelly, was outstanding! She had crews lined up one right after another. She knew we had to book doggy daycare for the pup and gave us as much advance notice as possible on scheduling. When we had questions or concerns she was always quick to respond. Getting started with the technician, Dane was a breeze. He has taken the time to answer all of our questions and has made sure that all equipment is working properly. Knowing that we can call on him if we can't figure something out is real peace of mind for us, as new pool owners. His patience and ability to guide us even over the phone in a few instances, has been fantastic. Overall the process was as painless as a major construction project could be. Start to finish, we had water in our pool in about 12 weeks! With a couple of rain delays and the winter holidays in there, we were impressed. It turned out just how we envisioned. The stone (laid piece by piece!) came out so beautiful! Big thanks to Bert for the recommendation on that one! We love our new pool and jacuzzi! Our family can't wait for the summertime-fun memory making to begin!!! We have already, and will continue to recommend Pacific Paradise Pools! read more

We are so thrilled with the work Pacific Paradise Pools did for us! They were very professional, as were all of their sub contractors. They told us up front what all of the costs would be, when payment was due and finished the project in 11 weeks from start to finish! We highly recommend them! read more

I'm not a huge Yelp-er but when you have such a positive experience, I think it is important to share. I purchased my home earlier this year and had a doozy of a backyard. We obtained several bids to remodel/repair our 1970s all-original classic "pool". A couple contractors even refused to touch this monstrosity. Rich Tonti showed no fear. His bid wasn't the highest nor the lowest but his experience and confidence sold me immediately. Best.Decision.Ever! Our pool looks amazing, his team (especially Lee but really all of them) were just a dream to work with, very minimal change orders...I mean, incredible customer service. I always knew who was coming on site, what projects were being tackled and when...not your typical contractor experience. While our yard is still partially in progress, the pool is done, the patio is done, the bar, stairs and our new equipment (which was the scope of the job) is finished to perfection. There are not enough stars for this team!!! read more

We love our pool. Special shout-out to Victor, Tim and Jennifer too!! They are a construction company so be prepared to advocate for yourself, follow up on any changes made throughout the process as they are very busy. We changed our entire layout per the city and I had to ask a few times for updated renderings, I found that to be a bummer as it would seem standard to me when changing plans with a client. Overall communication could have been better however like I said, I fully understand as they are in high demand. I would say they are a 5 star pool building company as any time I saw something not perfect, they came quickly to fix or make right. I held them to a high standard as this is not a inexpensive venture and we did receive an amazing pool in the end. Victor made sure we were fully satisfied and happy when taking ownership of our pool. We are confident that they will care for us if we have any issues moving forward as well. Our pool is a showpiece of our home now. Thank you for your hard work for our pool, I know I was a bit of a tough customer so y'all earned this :) read more

Took us approximately 2 + years of thinking about building a pool, interviewing various pool builders, thinking some more, and then held off of taking the leap. Fast forward, back in the market again, talking to more pool builders, and we came back to Rich and Pacific Paradise Pools. We are very happy with the results, enjoying having the pool for this first summer (as is our German Shepherd), and for many more to come. We only wish we had done so 2 + years ago when we first started thinking about it! read more

My parents had our pool put in in 1967. Obviously it needed some updates. We called several companies for estimates and chose Pacific Paradise Pools because they responded quickly to our requests and came out right away to photograph and measure the pool. We were kept informed with each step of the process. Workers were always on time and worked hard the whole time they were here. The pool is absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the updates. The pool was resurfaced and new coping and tile were installed. The plumbing and electrical were also updated making the 50 year old pool look brand new. We love it! read more

I called on a Tuesday to get a quote on replacing my pool pump. I was told that I had to talk to Keith so I left a message. It took him 24 hours to return my call but he said that, while they can't quote over the phone, someone would come to my house the next morning between 9 and 12. I asked them to please call when they were on their way. There was no call on Thursday or Friday. Finally, Monday afternoon, Keith called to say he would be there the next day, Tuesday, a week after my first inquiry, and this is just to get a quote! He made no mention of the fact that he was several days late. I told him that I had no interest in doing business with someone with that little regard for customer service. They may or may not do good work but first impressions matter and this was a dud. read more

Kelly and Victor are incredible to work with at Pacific Paradise. My spa was built in 2017 and Kelly has been a rock star with any issues or questions that come up. Super responsive and always helpful. Victor has been great as well. When he stopped by to drop off additional supplies I had purchased, he figured out why some of my jets weren't working. Took the time to fix the problem (small rock plugged one of the jets) and made sure everything was working properly before he left. Can't say enough about the service. We use the spa everyday and if there's ever an issue, I know one of them will help fix it if they can. read more

Our front yard remodel got off to a rough start with time delays and construction errors made by a sub-contractor. We met with Kelly and walked through the problems. She accepted responsibility and removed the struggling sub-contractor. Jose and Raymundo managed their in-house construction crew. They fixed all of the problems, paid close attention to all the details and communicated effectively. Bryce was a tremendous asset to us. His guidance on materials and plants brought the project to a level beyond our expectations! We are happy to recommend them. read more

I would recommend Pacific Paradise pool if you are thinking to turn your backyard into an Oasis. My family and I are so very happy and satisfied. They did excellent work. Rich, Kelly, Otelio, Victor and all their crew were very professional. If I have to do this over again, I would choose this company because they are reliable, dependable, truthful and works like a family. I have gotten estimates from other pool contractor before them but none compared to how this company met all our expectations. I highly recommend Pacific Paradise Pools! From day 1 till they finished our project we were very satisfied. Excellent work and we can enjoy our backyard now like never before. Thank you Rich and Paradise Pools! A+++ read more

I Just came on here to say that I have never been through this company before but I made a mistake and I thought that this company with someone else's company and I wasn't the nicest person to them and they still returned my phone call they talked with me they were very sweet and nice their customer service is just very good and lovely people I really appreciate them just taking the time calling me back and talking with me about an issue that they couldn't even resolve because it had nothing to do with them . My wife and I shopped around, spoke with friends, and went around the area to see who was working on pools in our area. After narrowing the list down to three companies, my wife and I selected Pacific Paradise Pools, and it was the best decision. Bert was amazing, answered all of my questions, let me know next steps, and was very proactive in the preparation as he anticipated what would be needed in the 2-3 weeks out. He scheduled it early, anticipated logistics and staffing, and I can honestly say the only thing we had to wait on was the city for the inspections. I think the longest we waited was 7 calendar days for the city to do an inspection as he set it up earlier and also ensured materials and parts were ready to go weeks before so there were no delays. We completed the project on time and actually in remarkable time. We redid our entire backyard in four months and would highly recommend Bert as your Project Manager and PPP as your go to company. read more

We just completed a complete yard remodel with Pacific Paradise Pools. They built our pool, spa, bbq kitchen, and yard landscape, complete with lights, irrigation, planters and sod. We could not be any happier. It surpassed our expectations and can't believe it's our yard when we look outside. It was an absolute pleasure working with Bert, Victor and Bryce. Bert was with us from the beginning helping us with design and overseeing the entire project. He genuinely wanted us to have the pool/yard we dreamed of and was determined to make it happen. Victor helped us get the pool up and running. We were so appreciative of his expertise and thoroughness in making sure we understood how everything worked. He and Bert have been available to us even after pool was completed as questions have come up. (This is our first pool so we are learning) Bryce helped bring the rest of the yard alive with plant and light design. We love all the plants he chose and we feel like our yard resembles a resort. Everyone in the company was professional, fast to respond to calls and displayed high quality workmanship. Another plus was that the project was completed within the timeline. We highly recommend Pacific Paradise Pools. Thank you! read more

We met with many (many) pool contractors before selecting Pacific Paradise. They worked with us to make sure we were going to have everything we needed and wanted in our finished backyard. Their prices are average, but their work is great. Now that it's finished, we love our pool! The best part of the process was having our project manager Kelly. She answered calls and texts right away and was always friendly and patient with our hundreds of questions. Norm also gets a gold star for helping finish our project and patiently answering our girls' questions as they splashed around in the pool. Thanks PPP! read more

We first met Rich Tonti, of Pacific Paradise Pools, in the fall of 2015 at a home show. We were interested in redoing our pool and backyard living area, but weren't yet ready to dive in. Even knowing that we were just gathering info with no plans, Rich gladly came to our house and discussed some possibilities and spent lots of time answering our questions. Finally, in the Fall of 2017 we were ready to move forward. We did our research and contacted 5 other pool builders, but none compared to the professionalism we experienced with Rich. He was very easy to work with and really listened to our ideas and helped us figure out a great plan for the entire backyard. Once we signed the contract, he stuck to his time schedule as promised, was always available for questions, and was dedicated to making sure we were happy. When Rich would see things that weren't right during the project he made sure that it was fixed. All of the employees who worked for Pacific ParadisePools that we encountered were very easy to work with, professional, and always had time to answer questions. On top of our experience, was the remarks we heard from others who saw the work being done. The city inspectors were very happy with the project and even asked for info on Rich so he could use him for his own project. Also, our long time pool cleaning company, has made several remarks about how well thought out the design was, and how good of a job had been done, even through the start up of the new systems. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our experience with Pacific Paradise Pools. read more

Pacific Paradise Pools remodeled my 40 year + old pool with leaks and numerous problems. The condition before was ugly and needed safety issues addressed. Our budget was limited and firm, so costly surprises were out of the question. I did not expect cheap, as I know that you get what you pay for, but they were within reason and very professional. Rich was helpful and patient with us while we discussed all the options, answering our countless questions along the way. The crew worked hard, made tons of noise, and cleaned up after themselves. They were all polite and friendly. They addressed all our concerns, made our ugly pool a backyard paradise, and thanked us for the opportunity. They were recommended by a friend who had their whole backyard transformed from grass and planters to a beautiful pool, spa, and hardscaping. Their work impressed me then as much as it does now that our pool is like new. I gladly recommend Pacific Paradise Pools. read more

I have a progressive movement disorde . My physicians recommended pool therapy since I am losing my ability to walk. I submitted a RFP to various pool contractors for a small pool that would meet my needs for physical therapy. Pacific Paradise pools was low bid. With some design improvements made by Rich Totti, the pool was approved by the city and is perfect in everyway for my therapy. My Therapists are happy, I am happy and most importantly, my wife is happy. A special thanks to Tim Hopper, Kelly Pacheco, Victor for their help getting the work completed. And lastly, a thank you to Rich Trotti for his patience working with me and some of my friends who volunteered to help me during the design and construction phases. read more

Pacific Paradise Pools re-tiled, re-plastered our pool. They weren't cheap and stressed that to make sure all went well we really should employ them to keep the pool cleaned. They mentioned $85/mo for this service but the bill comes at $95. When the pool vac sounded like a monster in the yard they suggested vacmate for $85 in December. They sent a coupon for 20% off in January so when I got the bill I deducted the 20%. They refused to honor their coupon because I had already ordered the equipment. Also the "motherboard" on the time clock went out and had to be replaced in less than 5 months. They did take care of it. Mark Buzzy, the serviceman is nice and responsible with the gate and dog. Mark the electrical installer was wonderful but is no longer working there. read more

Rich and his team are super professional and did a fantastic job on our backyard spa. Highly recommend!

I am very disappointed in their customer service, especially their representative Bert! I reached out to the company for a proposal, I was given Bert as a representative. From a phone call conversation he asked for me to email our designer's renderings for a bid November 27th. He confirmed that he received the email. After that text, I never heard back from him. I texted him on 4 different occasions with zero response. I finally had to call the office to see if he was still employed! They said he was, and he would get back to me today (December 11th). I received a voicemail today saying he never opened my email and was to busy and so would be declining giving us a proposal?!!! What kind of company wastes your time like this and turns down work. This is a large project. If this is how the company works BEFORE they get your work I would hate to see what would have happened if we were in contract. Absolutely awful! read more

I hate to leave a bad review as I have used these guys in the past and was satisfied with their work. Here's what happened last time I tried to give them my business... My pool pump went out on me and I decided I was going to replace it instead of repairing it. I knew I could save money with a 2 speed or variable speed pump. Without a doubt my go to guy was Richie Powel at Pacific Paradise Pools. Over the last 14 years I have used them for pool repairs and purchased my pool cleaner and other items from them. So I was quite disappointed when I kept calling and getting no response. I wondered if they had gone out of business. Two weeks into trying to get ahold of them I drive by on a Sunday, I know they'd be closed, just to see if they were still there. I could see the reception area and offices to either side with computers and paperwork. It didn't look abandoned. So I called again and kept getting the machine. "Press 101 for Rich Tonti", "Press 102 for Linette", "Press 103 for Richie Powel", "or leave a message"... I left a message for them all, multiple times. Including Rich Tonti, the owner. It's now 4 weeks later. I call again and leave messages again asking them to please just let me know if they are just too busy or something... I finally decide I need to move on and start researching other places. And the day I finally call another place and set up an appointment for them to come out and give me a quote. The moment I hung up the phone, my phone rings. I though they must be calling me back. I say "hello" and the response is "This is Richie". I'm kind of surprised but recognize his voice and say "ah, Richie from Pacific Paradise Pools!" It might have been a bit more professional to state who and where you are from and that you were returning my phone call... But, whatever... So I explain that I have been trying to get ahold of them for over 4 weeks and thought they maybe went out of business. I get no explanation... So I explain my problem and that I didn't know which way to go with a new pump. He explained why a variable speed would be better than a 2 speed. Told me he was free Friday morning to take a look. I told him great, I'd be home all day Friday. I also told him I had pictures of the piping and electrical and asked if it would help and if he could at least let me know a roundabout price. We settled on him coming out Friday and I sent him the pictures so that he could email me something later that day. I never got an email... Friday came and went; Richie was a no show... I never got so much as a call.. It is now a month later and I'm now the owner of a nice variable speed pump that was professionally installed by a company that actually takes phone calls and shows up for appointments. Here's an easy $1000-1600 they could have charged to sell me a pump and I wouldn't have even bothered getting another quote. And yet here we are a month later and still no word... I'm almost thankful they didn't do the work. What if something had gone wrong the next day or week and I needed them to fix it..? To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. read more

Thank you Pacific Paradise Pools! Being a contractor myself we can be some of the hardest to please, but I can honestly say that Pacific Paradise Pools does outstanding work and stands behind what they promise. In construction there can always be unforeseen instances and changes, but the way in which you can tell the good from the great contractors is by how they communicate, respond and fairly compromise in order to quickly resolve any issues that may arise, and Pacific Paradise Pools does just that. Thank you again Rich, Bert, Bill and Norm for all your help and making sure my family will have a top quality pool and spa that they will make many great memories from for years to come. read more

What can I say about this company... Probably a lot. My family and I were redoing our backyard and decided to update our late 70's pool. I probably contacted all the other companies you have seen prior to reading this yelp review - Got 5+ quotes as well. I can honestly say that I am extremely happy we went with Pacific Paradise Pools. Our job started out as a resurface, retile, but quickly escalated into a full rock-scaped remodel and the kicker was that it all came in under the initial budget we had for just resurface/retile. Bert saw the whole project through from quote to finish. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy at each step. At one point, they even repainted the rockscape for us no charge. The need wasn't even their fault (my wife and I had different opinions on what it should look like) - So yes, we were "that" customer and they still took care of us. Bert's philosophy throughout the whole project was "I want you to love the pool you are getting" and he delivered. Work they did for us: Some deck cutting (for a planter), Demo, pebble sheen, new drain, rockscape with diving rock. All of it is top notch. I forgot one thing... They finished quicker than the original schedule... That RARELY happens these days! Very important when you are doing a mid-summer remodel read more

It is such a pleasure when a company does everything right from start to finish, when you have confidence in their knowledge and expertise, and when they follow through on every promise and expectation. That was our experience with Pacific Paradise Pools. Rich Tonti clearly knows his stuff, is honest upfront about what to expect, and is very personable. The way the project was scheduled, monitored, and inspected inspired confidence and led to a fantastic pool and hardscape. Pacific Paradise not only uses wonderful subs (Lani for the deck concrete!), but they also guarantee that if something does go wrong with a sub, they get it fixed and made right in a hurry. The entire crew (Rich, Tim, Kelly and more) are lovely people and carefully guided us through the project. Now that the project is complete, we LOVE our lap pool, but we do miss Kelly's infectious smile! As an aside - We asked Rich for contractor recommendations for a couple of other projects (landscape, wood decking) and we hired each one of them! Pacific Paradise obviously associates with quality people across the board. If you are looking to build a pool, you will be in excellent hands with Rich Tonti! read more

This may be the most unprofessional contractor I have encountered. I initially contacted Ritchie on August 31 about repairs needed to my pool. He said he could do it and to text pictures, following which he would send estimate. I send pictures that day, and I received no response. After multiple calls and texts asking him for a response, I received a text on September 20 apologizing and telling me he needed the address to come and view the damage. I immediately responded with address and invitation to schedule a visit. After multiple calls and texts requesting a response, I have received no response. read more

I can not say enough good things about this company! Love Rich & Lynette Tonti the owners. The built my dream pool & back yard and maintain it. I always new the status of the building esp if I did not have workers at the house. The workers were professional & willing to help in other matters. I whole-heartedly recommend Pacific Paradise Pools. I had originally selecting another firm who bungled my job on day two by hitting a 12,000 volt electricity line (by failing to call dig alert). Needless to say, I was in a terrible bind. I had a huge hole in my backyard, and I needed a new pool contractor that I could trust. Rich Tonti personally met with me many times to ensure me that he could take over the job and get it done correctly. He proposed additional design elements that enhanced the project. I awarded Pacific Paradise Pools the job and was delighted with the quality of the work and how beautiful the project turned out. My only regret is that I had not hired them in the first place!
