Salvador and his team did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. The pool came out great they put in 3 return lines, made staple repairs to the body of the pool and did the plaster and tiles. Please do not judge his work on the coping or decking we did not pay for those to be completed. read more

Salvador arrived on time as scheduled. When he arrived I explained my issue again which was that water was not coming out of one of my pool returns/jets which I believed was causing poor circulation and thus pool water getting worse. Even though I have just cleaned the filters 2 weeks prior the water was still getting worse and algae growing. He took one look at my plumbing, took the sound of the pump running into account and said that my pump sounds like it's going out. I let him know that I had just replaced the pump just over a year ago with this new Variable speed one and how I utilize the valves according to how the previous home owner told me. I showed him how I move the valves to have water passed to the pool and spa to circulate both at the same time. Salvador then move the valves himself noticing something else off and the pressure began to drop. At first I got frightened not wanting to ruin the pump so immediately put the valves just back to normal. Turns out he was just trying to show and explain to me that whoever did the valve placement before did it wrong and thus how the previous owner told me how to turn the valves was incorrect as well. The suction valve was in reverse so the "off" placement was upside down. Then on the return valve the safety so that it doesn't close the whole valve fully was worn down, so while I was turning the valve how I was told to do it was actually closing the valve a bit while at the same time opening the spa return a little too. This was causing back pressure back to pump which now clicked on my head. No wonder the original pump went bad soon after I moved in and now this new variable pump I put was also going bad. He recommended I upgrade to a 2hp variable pump instead of the 1.65 I had based on my pool size and spa. He also recommended changing the size of the plumbing from suction to return from 1.5 to 2. From the interaction we just had I had the full confidence he knew what he was talking about and I felt a little bad questioning him just based on what the previous owner had relayed to me on how the pump and valve works. He gave me a price and asked how soon... 24hrs later the new upgraded pump, the new upgrade plumbing and the valves also corrected to show the true way was done. He showed me the correct way to use the valves now for both pool, spa use or individually. Once he showed me for Spa use only, I saw bubbles once again! I hadn't seen bubbles in my spa in just under a year. I checked the return/jet that was once not flowing any water now flowing nicely! And the pump wasn't even running at full rpm's but at 1400rpm. We obviously put it higher for quick clean and within 10 minutes of running we could already see the water cleaning up the green and algae! I think it helps that Salvador understood that I had complete trust in him that he also provided optimal service. I wasn't over his and his helper shoulder watching the whole installation, but stayed near by in case he needed something or to ask a question which he did. Looking back I kind of wish I would have tried to at least tried to see if the price could go down a little but to be honest I was just thinking to get it fixed asap before the water gets worse and other issues arise. With that said once everything was done I do think the price was set right. I am highly satisfied with the whole service and process and will recommend completely. I even had just a couple of questions after he had already left for the day and Salvador was happy enough to respond back and give further advice. 10/10 stars if I could. Salvador is invited to the Carne Asada. read more

Rio Pool And Spa - Completed Remodel - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me

We recently hired Rio Pool and Spa to renovate our older pool, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our pool had no coping, which led to cracked concrete and tiles constantly popping out due to earth movement. After getting three estimates, we chose Saul and his team at Rio Pool--not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but the most knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They correctly diagnosed the problem and proposed the right solution. He gave us a tile & stone catalog to choose from and invited us to the store to see materials in person but that wasn't necessary in our case. From start to finish, communication was solid. Saul was responsive and clear, and his crew was excellent--careful during demolition, precise with installation, and very respectful of our property. The project took about three weeks and was only delayed by a few rainy days, which was understandable. I appreciate that Saul set up a port-a-potty for the crew. The quality of the work really impressed us. The new coping looks great, the installation is solid, and the crew did a fantastic job cleaning up both the pool and the surrounding deck area when they were done. We would absolutely recommend Rio Pool and Spa to anyone considering a pool renovation. It's rare to find a contractor who combines fair pricing, strong communication, and excellent workmanship--Rio delivers on all three. read more

The guys at Rio fixed my pool plumbing! I have an older pool and a leaking skimmer, copper piping, and a non-working main drain. Sal at Rio recommended updated plumbing and a skimmer and was also able to recreate my main drain suction. This was a tough job and required a lot of demo but the whole job was handled beautifully. I now have a working main drain, new skimmer and vacuum suction line. I couldn't be happier about the results. Thank you Sal and the guys at Rio for a great job. Highly recommend! read more

Extremely satisfied. Salvador responded immediately to my Yelp inquiry and came by to check out and give me an estimate on the same day. He was very straight forward about what he has to offer and gave me a very fair price. Work was done a few days after. Salvador and his crew did an excellent job on my pool in Seal Beach. They removed the old tile, installed new tile, and acid washed the concrete -- everything turned out great. I was so pleased with the results that I hired him again for another pool. This time, he replaced the tile and added PebbleTec, and the pool looks fantastic. Rio pools and Spa is a very professional 5 star company that will not sacrifice anything for quality material and craftsmanship. Also provide great value for the quality results versus other companies. Salvador, Arturo, and Rio team are wonderful. I am very happy & grateful in having them to complete my pool remodel project. They did a great job accommodating all my request and very detail oriented. They are very honest, humble, responsive, patient, focus, detail oriented, and kind. Solid company values and people with integrity. They honor their word and follow through with what they say, no shortcuts. They also maintain a clean working environment and are very organized throughout, respectful of client property at all times. Most importantly they prices are very competitive in direct correlation versus the immaculate quality and detail they put into their work, and the results speak for themself. Highly recommend. Would use again. And Absolutely would refer to friends and family. 5 stars and nothing but my utmost respect for this amazing team. These guys are the Rio/Real deal! read more

I would not use these guys, they have had to come back 3 times to fix leaks for a spa wall they fixed. The concrete was done so poorly that the owner came out after sending his apprentice to repair. Lied multiple times about his work and agreed it was not finished and told me an other contractor would lie and say his work was good. I am a contractor and I stand to my word. I am beyond unsatisfied with Rio pools and this guy does not stand behind his warranty. We are now having another contractor fix his work and seeking legal compensation. Stay away from these guys. read more

Unbelievable dedication and customer service satisfaction!!! I had my 30,000 gallon pool and SPA replastered with Stonescapes by Rio Pools and SPA. Done in 5 days!!! I ended up getting my stone pavers done by them too. The stone pavers I want was back order and I had to choose another one. Since they know that I will be entertaining this weekend for Halloween, they honored their promise that my backyard will be ready this weekend even when we got behind with my alternate selection of pavers. It's already past 7pm tonight and they are still working on my stone pavers to make sure that they deliver and finish the job as promised. If there is a 10-stars, I will give them the 10 stars! I had the opportunity to work with Rio Pool and Spa to re-plaster and repair my 22-year-old inground spa. When they finished with my spa today and I looked at it for the first time and compared it with the before picture, I was completely blown away. My 22 year-old Spa looks Brand NEW I know sometimes it could be difficult to find good honest workers that do pools and spas. I've dealt with other companies with my other house that had both a pool and spa installed and did not even come close to doing even half as good as Rio Pool and Spa which just knocked it out of the charts in all categories (Always on time, excellent professional and meticulous in the work that they did and it was as if they were building their own Spa. Before we started on our pool project, we contacted 8 other contractors to get an estimated on the cost. We finally decided to go with Rio Pools because they seemed to be most sincere and most helpful. Salvador, Arturo, and their crew did an excellent job with our pool make over. Work was started in about a week after the contract was signed. They demolished the gazebo and built a bridge over our pool along with putting down pebble pool plaster, and few other repairs. The job was completed in a timely manner and the crew was pleasant to work with. Price was reasonable as well. I have nothing but praise for Rio Pools and the work they did. We love our new pool! Our pool pump broke down so I needed a new one. Salvador came right away and gave me an estimate. He explained the pros and cons of different models so I could make the final decision. I also asked him about a water heater project and send me an estimate right away. All the prices were pretty similar to what other were quoting. I decided to go with just the pump this time so I texted him and the next day his team was at my house and replaced the pump in no time. They explained how to use the new pump and even waited a few minutes to make sure that the pump was still running. Excellent company. I would recommend and will definitely call them if I have another project. Thanks for everything! read more

We had a rust mark on the bottom of our pool that we wanted patched while we changed out the water. I'm so thankful we found Rio Pools and Spa, not only because they did a great job but because they were the only company willing to do our small job. Salvador arrived exactly on time to give us an estimate which we considered to be a very fair price. They came back at the agreed upon day and fixed the plaster to match perfectly. You can't tell a patch was made to the plaster. We were so impressed with the work they did and their overall attitude and customer service that we're going to have them back to do some hard scape work for us.
