One of the best Pho places in the Long Beach area. The owner is really nice but this is a lunch only place. Parking is impacted so it's easier to park on the street. It's very divey but a great place to have lunch. I don't really care about politics but having a sign stating you must pay more than $8 to use your card with an, "I did that." sticker with Biden's face next to it and a sticker that states, "Don't blame me I voted for Trump" in my book is very low class. My friend ended up here when the pho place that we originally wanted to go to was closed. This ended up being a much better option than what we had originally planned. Menu intrigues me because it has several veggie meats listed in the vegetarian section. Even though there was a noodle soup that contain veggie ham, veggie chicken and veggie beef, I was really craving actual vegetables so I ended up getting the Veggie Noodle Soup. This hidden gem is located in what is referred to as the "Food Court" in the area. Alot of ppl tend to not know this exist if not familiar with the area. This place so far is my top go to Pho in the area. I have dined here before but for the most part I call in my order to for pick up. They pack everything so well and nice portions. The broth has really good flavor, I am so very picky with chicken love is here and the Thai Tea is delish! Also can't go wrong with ordering their really good egg rolls. This pho restaurant has been one of our regular lunch area at work. Located in a corner of Victoria and Wilmington, where all the industrial businesses are. There Pho is very good. I love their soup not all sweet and not all salty, just perfect. The only bad thing is they don't have tendon meat which I love. Instead I have their combination or beef ball pho. Their eggrolls are also good along with their fish sauce. Sometimes after work I want to stop by to pick up togo but the negative thing is they close so early.. I think 4 or 5pm! read more

In Vietnamese it's called "bun no hue" but they didn't put that on the menu. Just a warning, it can be a bit oily for people who have never gotten bun bo hue. Hits the spot, specially on a rainy day. This is by far the best pho in Compton. I always get the pho dac biet regular and it fills me up.

The chicken pho is my favorite. The flavor is always consistently yummy. I always get extra onions and Thai Basil.

I eat pho maybe once or twice a week, and have been eating it for years. I usually try to find a spot or two close to me and go there over the years. This place landed in my sights and so I decided to check it out. I ordered the combo pho with spring rolls. I asked for the rare steak on the side but they forgot and put it inside, which isn't much of a dealbreaker for me so it was fine. The pho broth was good but a bit too clean for me; I'm a fan of the greasy, kick you in the mouth type of broth that has your breath stinking for two years. The brisket could have been boiled a bit longer, as it was a bit too chewy. The meatballs were average. The spring rolls were very clean and the ingredients felt more fresh than other places. The peanut sauce was excellent and not too overpowering. A small slice of mint in each roll would've made it a lot better in my opinion. All in all, I'd probably be back again read more

Pacific Noodle is located smack down in the middle of business block a la Compton, so this plaza gets mad traffic from plenty of local workers near and far trying to fuel the rest of their day. Luckily, pho always seems to be a good choice when it comes to figuring out what to have for lunch especially when you have a few hungry people trying to tag on their order when your rushing out the door of your place of employment. Whether your dining in at this cozy and usually packed establishment or grabbing your bowl for your desk, their food always seems to hit the spot. I can't say I'm utterly in love with the pho here because I've had my fair share of homemade pho and also some authentically crafted bowls from hole in the wall restaurants. What I can say is that this place is a solid choice in the area. Pricing is decent and the only reason why I say that is because there are so many places that have crazy good deals. I can literally hop into my car this very second, drive 2 minutes, and get a banh mi & a regular sized chicken pho for $4.99. Anyway, the broth is tasty and the MSG seems to be null & void but who knows if that's true. You can always hook it up with all the condiments you'd like, so it really doesn't matter but that's solely dependent on the type of pho connoisseur you are. This place is right next to my work so I come here often. Pho is always on point. One of the better pho places in general. The workers are always nice, which usually makes the dining experience near perfect. Recently, however, the place gets extremely packed during lunch. It took me 30min to order my food, after putting my name down on their waiting list. When they are busy, they are understaffed so it may take some time to get your water and your food. I also noticed they're a little more expensive, and they don't always give you as much noodles as other pho places. I would like to see them giving more noodles, since I know the cost of those noodles is very low. They can definitely improve on certain areas, but I still give them 5 stars because of the nice workers and the bomb pho. read more

We stopped by this unassuming, semi-divey looking Vietnamese joint in what appears to be a strip mall/food court set up. It seemed like the safest bet for my vegan self and the omnivores were down for Vietnamese, so win! As mentioned by other fellow Yelpers, it's not very elegant - a rather compact space with basic table and chairs. Sunbleached photos depicting miscellaneous Vietnamese fare. A modest menu. Really informal, all in all. Considering all my other food adventures here have been lackluster, I wasn't expecting much. Which might partially account for why I thought the Tofu and Mushroom Vermicelli was actually pretty dang good. For $6.95, it was a rather hefty portion. Granted, most of it was vermicelli, but the marinated tasty shittake silvers and fried tofu were quite nice. The tofu was deep fried and tasteless, but the bowl came with a vinegary garlic-infused soy sauce mixture that complemented the tofu, mushroom, and cucumber and lettuce shreds deliciously. It was salty, but not disgustingly so (and spicy because I have a sriracha problem, and no, I am not sorry) and ample. Simple but satisfying, doesn't take much to please this gal. There's a "vegetarian" section with a handful of dishes, some with "veggie meats," but those aren't always vegan, so I opted for the tofu. The pho was massive as well and from what I could tell, fairly generous chunks of meat were buried under the noodle masses. My other co-worker voiced that he was happy with his meal. We arrived here a little after 11 and concluded our lunch 40 minutes or so later. By then, it was notably crowded. Popular joint with the locals, I guess and I can see why. If you like spicy, ask for your pho spicy--similar to Thai tom yum taste! The BUN is really really good here. Huge portion, filling, and nice variance of textures and temperatures. I usually get the combination one with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and eggrolls. Soupless noodles and fresh chopped lettuce and cucumbers. Fish sauce to pour all over your bowl. They also have a "summer special" salad here that's fantastic although I think it's a permanent staple on their menu now. Crisp, cold, fresh-chopped lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers, cilantro. Tender chilled thin strips of chicken and raw (uncooked) chow mein noodles toppled over. Homemade green salad dressing that's slightly sweet, tart, and very tasty. Parking does get kind of crazy in this complex so, if you can, try to come before 12pm or after 2pm. I don't like that this place prefers cash over credit cards and does a $0.50 charge. It is also not the cheapest Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to, yet the food is nothing spectacular. read more

Oh shit! This place with change your PHO life, the broth is never greasy, chicken is always moist. I get the new salad (I know boring) but it has a wasabi dressing that is crazy good. The mixture of crunchy, salty and sweet always gets me. The also have a dry egg noodle dish that you can get with fish or chicken. I go so much they always want us to try something new. Little did I know at the time back in December of '07 that there are like 400 Pho places in LA/OC area and my intention to go back to this place after the first visit was shot to dust once I made a Pho list and saw how big it was (Wow. This is like Pho-ride park for adults, very cool. Ride at your own risk, arrive at your own conclusions). What I wanted to say is, 10 Months later I finally went back to try their Pho again. In short, I'm downgrading it to 3 Stars for the following reasons: - Good light style soup but too sweet tasting for me. What happened to the opaque rich soup (Although that was somewhat overly sweet as well)? - Average noodles, beef and brisket. Brisket was skimpy in portion and cardboard tough with the flavor of fresh cardboard. - No beef cube crack (No more super-tasty cube of beef?) I found it at the bottom of the bowl on the first visit and it was such a cool treat. On the positive side, the extra large is like a batch tub, ridiculously large (Cool). The price is very reasonable and the service is fast. They cater to the lunch crowd from plethora of large businesses near by, competing with other lunch-only places So can I make it to all the Pho places before I die? I, don't, know ...! Ha ha ha.
