In all fairness, this is a distribution center doubling as a clearance outlet; this means a larger selection and lower prices. The biggest challenge is finding exactly what you need. The staff here can be a very valuable asset in that area. The best part is the uniqueness of the items you do locate. Another challenge might be getting an entire set of something. We needed four garage lanterns. We located three of the neatest lights we'd ever seen. But only three. Grrrr. We managed to find a few rare bulbs and in our browsing, bumped into a general contractor that gave us an incredibly cheap estimate to run underground cables and a driveway bore. I hope that works out! 06/25

To be fair, I didn't want to go to Ferguson today after our last experience 10 months or so ago -…read morebut I woke up and something changed my mind. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Shannon. We walked around the floor and were checked on quite frequently- all of the staff were very engaging and quite lovely actually. We had specific questions and Shannon actually called the manufacturer to check directly for us. The Manager Bud was quite funny and took the edge off of our intense conversation (between myself and my husband) rather humorously a time or two. There was one point Bud was giving a tour to three different parties showing us all where we needed to be. The transaction was seamless - which is a beautiful thing! My thoughts have changed on Ferguson Home on 1st. If you've gone before and weren't super impressed- try them again, it's worth the trip! Shannon, I think the standing desk at the front is a brilliant idea! You immediately made eye contact and had a warm smile. The last time we were there, we weren't acknowledged for a really long time. You and your "assistant" made our day today! Thank you so much - Tracy and Mitch

I echo what everyone has said about the terrible customer service. The couch has been sitting on a dock in Fresno since for over 6 weeks and the chair is on a van - somewhere - where it's been for the past month. No one can tell me where it is or when it will arrive. No one calls me back. I would never, ever order from them again. Go to Room and Board.

If you're looking for a custom light fixture, Sofary is the place to shop. Fan blades are lightweight laminated wood painted silver on one side, tan on the other, different from the pictured item, wood is not chrome. Too heavy for a standard ceiling installation. They refused to accept the return or provide a return address because they didn't like my picture with my heavy packing materials. Very poor customer service. It took copious effort--via repeated emails, phone calls, and even a filing a BBB case--to get to that confirmation of the cancellation, so of course I saved all documentation. Unfortunately, they still charged my card today for the two cancelled fixtures, emailed me a payment confirmation, and notified me of a shipping confirmation to come. I hope that sharing my troubling experience with this company will protect other consumers from a similar experience.
