I had recently purchased a condo (first time) and was in the middle of the summer heatwave. Adrian came onsite to overview a few mini split quotes that our complex was considering at the time. Adrian overviewed my unit and noted that I was capable of doing something more than a mini split in my unit. The initial process took a bit as I had to run everything by HOA, the team was there and waiting with any answers that I had to questions that were asked, or documents/specs that may be needed. Adrian was very knowledge about the systems that were compatible with my unit, as well as how we could configure the unit to be tucked into the attic and hung onto our back wall (couldn't do the floor since it's an open alley and homeless people are an issue). There was a few delays with getting the product, which was communicated well by Adrian and his team, as well as a phone call was received by the owner. We hired Pacific Heating & Air to perform AC maintenance for two businesses on a quarterly basis. First, they charged us up front for a year worth of maintenance. Then, they didn't show up for the service prompting me to call. The public phone numbers I found were disconnected and I had to call multiple numbers to find someone. Finally, they came out and serviced our properties. Next, we had a huge AC issue at one of the locations. When we finally got a hold of someone, they sent someone out diagnosed it, but it took almost a month to get parts and do the repair. Instead of reaching out to us with updates, we had to follow up with them almost weekly. The final straw was another issue that came up and they just ghosted us after multiple text messages. I am not sure the final maintenance was done because no one will call back. good luck with these guys. When they show up, the service seems fine, but getting a hold of them or getting updates was a nightmare read more

It's been nothing but a nightmare with this company. The "no lemon guarantee" is a lie. We sued them, and won, but they simply just did not pay the settlement. On top of that they ruined our roof when installing the ductwork, and the unit outside is super loud. The unit itself smells like fish when we turn it on. This is by far the MOST unorganized, unprofessional, unreliable, uncommunicative company I have ever worked with hands down. They've have canceled multiple times without the decency of even calling to communicate that or even reschedule, they're almost always 1-2 hours late. They never answer their phone and are incredibly difficult to get a hold of. You will literally have to chase them down to get them to finish the job. They strong-armed them into payment after promising them they would get all the necessary city permits for the work they did. I've had only positive interactions with Pacific Heating and Air and highly recommend them. I took out a "big blue" contract and they delivered priority and excellent service as promised! I took out the contract because in addition to priority repair service, which I didn't think I'd need as my unit is only 3-years old, it comes with tuneup and inspections. When my unit unexpectedly stopped working, I called PHAC and they sent Adrian out first thing the next morning to look at it, and he had my unit working again by 9 am! When it stopped again the next day, I called Adrian and PHAC and he was back out at my home the next morning again! 10/22/2022 Bought two systems from Pacific, one for upstairs and one for downstairs; furnaces only. This was for new ductwork, moving vents, installing new vents , intelligent thermostats & removal of the old system. Removal of the old system went OK but when the new equipment installation started problems began immediately. Every other day there was a new crew and the project manager would tell his workers what he wanted them to do and then disappear from the project until I called him and told him there were problems. This went on for the whole project until they abandoned working with me and would no longer return my calls. It's worth noting the following: The system Pacific installed for upstairs was a lesser system than the one I paid for. Pacific could never make it work with the intelligent thermostat they sold me. Then the owner, Nick, lied to me that he was working with the factory to resolve the "interface" issue. I have that information from the last Pacific tech who tried to correct some of the issues. The 1st floor system appears to have been mis-designed for the zoning to work properly. So many details overlooked by this company. An odd sized air filter rack was installed and carbon filters could not be obtained to fit. The HERS air leak test for the duct work was not even attempted for either system. And it goes on .... See the list of issues as of 6/12/22. Messages to the owner, Nick, were left repeatedly via his office manager as well as voice and text messages directly to his phone. He would not return my calls. So apx 40k$ later this is the state of these two systems. I am in the process of having the mis-designed & unbranded Lennox systems removed and installing a new, properly branded & configured system by a company with a flawless record. I would be very wary of Pacific. As of 6/12/22 these were the final issues: First Floor - Scheduling does not work properly - Phone app does not connect with HVAC properly - Office zone comes on with Kitchen zone - When any one zone is engaged, system aborts zone mode & enters whole house mode blowing air thru all registers - Install carbon filter - HERS Air leak test per Adrian not carried out Second Floor - Intelligent Thermostat not installed - System bubbles audibly & noticeably when running - Install carbon filter - HERS Air leak test per Adrian not carried out read more

Very disappointed in the service...we had some damage to the copper line set for our 2 units and called them for an estimate. After their technician came and inspected, he recommended the repairs that he stated were needed...the total estimate was 6230. Seem high to me so I called Reitz Heating and Air. All said and done, the repairs came to 1600. Pacific wanted to charge 165 dollars per pound of R22 that actually costs less than 35. I would not recommend Pacific Heating and Air. read more

With Nick, Tommy and his team i was able to complete this project in most effortless way. People: I went with PHAC mainly for who they were as individuals. I had quotes from most well established installers in SD but i never felt the "Trust". But people at PHAC are totally different. Nick: Probably the best person i have met in my whole house renovation projects, he made the whole process so easy, custom and hassle free. Tommy: Exceptionally talented and technical associate. Great to work with and accommodates all your requests. Eddy and His Team: These guys did something for me which they mentioned have not done in their experience of 20 years in the AC installation. I wanted to cover my lineset in garage with paint grade steel enclosure for both functional and aesthetic reasons. The installers initially said , they have not that before and cannot do it. They called Nick, he came to my house, asked me if that is what i really want, i said "Yes" and he said to his team, "Lets find out a way to do it". They did a phenomenal job as you can see inn the pictures. Quality: The overall quality of installation was very good. With sealing the plenums, checking returns and and other parts of the system was good. Experience: I had my best experience on such a large installation. I would recommend them to everyone of my friend. Make sure you bring up every idea, concern and question you have about the final results of installation. They called 20 minutes after they were supposed to be there to say they were running a few minutes behind (no kidding), only to never show up at all. I called them 4 or 5 times over a couple of hours and they never answered. Finally called me back like 5 hours later only to blatantly lie and say they showed up and tried calling but I didn't answer. This was in the middle of a Saturday so just kind of extra crappy that they wasted my whole day. Hey there! These guys are great! I've had an AC maintenance company monitor my company's heating and air units three years now. One of my units was having an issue, and they recommended replacing the unit or the compressor. My second unit has never fully functioned properly. It would never cool the offices in summer heat. It was recommended that that one be replaced as well. I contacted Pacific Heating and Air for second opinion. They came out and after reviewing the units, discovered that the 2nd unit did not have a proper return. The return was pulling air in from the attic causing the air to constantly stay warm. They gave me a fair price to replace the compressor, re-do the ducting. They saved me thousands of dollars! I'm going to contract them to do my maintenance program from this point on - I highly recommend Pacific Heating and Air. read more

Well, this is disappointing to write. I called them to set an appointment to check out my really old forced air system to make sure it was working as it should. We set an appointment for three days later in the morning. I stayed home from work to be there. He no showed. I called a half hour after our appointment time and left a message. I got a call back a little while later. The guy apologized and said he forgot about the appointment. We rescheduled for the following Sunday morning. The guy showed up and reviewed everything and didn't charge me. This was very nice and unexpected. I asked him to send me quotes to buy a new air conditioning unit and I gave him my contact info. Now it's three and a half weeks later and no response. The guy was nice and knowledgeable but the customer service aspect needs work to retain customers. read more

I wish I had caught the name of the guy that came to help me. But he was fantastic. He was in and out in about 30 minutes and fixed my heating problem right away. I just moved in this last Friday and it has been cold out! Additionally, he was very kind to my dog and told me a little bit about himself and his dogs. Pacific Heating & Air used to be good when Nick was running things. I had them install my AC and heating years ago and even recommended friends and family to them. But now he has these "used car sales" sales people and it's isn't the same. Few years back I asked for an estimate for my parents house and the new "used car sales" guy quoted us an outrageous price. Needless to say I used another company for my parents...great unit and a lot less $. Fast forward 2021 my unit stopped working and needed some maintenance and I asked Pacific Heating & Air to come check it out...cost $89. Mind you other places just charged $29 diagnostic fee; but whatever...I wanted to used them because they installed the unit. Enter Carlos "used car salesman" came in and tried to charge and yearly maintenance fee of $2495 for a top package, $1995 for a step below package and a $1500 package. I was like "WTF"?!? He had the "packages" written down and my wife asked to see it or if he could leave it behind so we can take a look at it and Carlos was like "no"...couldn't see it or leave it behind. He was trying to hide it for some reason. We just paid the $89 diagnostic fee and said "goodbye". Next day another company came out to fix out problem for $100. THEIR yearly maintenance fee is only $125. Do your research and BEWARE of this place!!!!! read more

Nick came out to give me a second opinion on issues I was having with my AC that the company that installed could not figure out what was wrong. Nick diagnosed the problem right away, and instead of bad mouthing the other company, he chose to call the owner and speak directly to him to give him the opportunity to correct the problem (as it was with worksmanship, not mechanical). The owner of the other company authorized Nick and his guys to do the repair at no cost to me. I cannot begin to tell you what great customer service that is. Upon being called back by Eddie, He asked me what am I looking for, I kindly replied that I'm looking for an A/C unit for a home, an efficient one, and not to costly. Someone came out and replaced a fuse but said all of the equipment would need to be replaced soon. 10 minutes later the AC stopped again. Waited 9 hours for someone to return my calls or come back to look at it again. When he finally came back he didn't even look at it and said it would be $7500 to replace everything. I got a second opinion, they fixed my AC for less than $400 no new equipment needed. After seeing the review the owner got in contact with me. I requested an HVAC/furnace inspection and was booked for a visit two days later. On the day of my appointment, the office called and said that "a technician called out," requesting to postpone my appointment until the next day. I agreed, but the office again called me the following day -- ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time and obvious technician no-show -- to tell me that there was "no way" a technician could "pick up" my job. After taking two afternoons off from my work to address this problem, I was understandably disappointed and asked what the office agent meant by "pick up" my job, as I believed that I held a firm appointment time. The agent proceeded to lecture me about ethics and tell me how important it is that the company prioritizes elderly customers and other more-emergent jobs. While I would agree that elderly customers and emergencies deserve the highest priorities, it became apparent, when pressed, that the agent had no idea regarding the nature or scope of my particular job/problem or understood the ethical consequences of me canceling two afternoons of work in a healthcare clinic.
