I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow to perform a preventative maintenance on my AC unit. Was called today to inform me that all PMs have been canceled because of the heat wave. They are not scheduling until September. The reason I do annual PMs is so that equipment doesn't break down in the peak summer months. I have used this company for 5 years but will not use again. I called them to service my ice machine. 2 of the cooling fans were out which they diagnosed. They quoted me a price of $1133 to replace two of them and $1599 to replace all 4. When I told them I can order them on Amazon for $15 each they understood and said "that's what the company charges". It took me 5 minutes to do it myself. I had initially contacted Precision back in 2016 and got the most fair and honest estimate from a former General Manager at that time. Unfortunately the financial aspect did not work for us at that time back in 2016 due to one of life's hardships. Fast forward to 2022, and I was so impressed with the level of honesty and pricing I received back in 2016 I reached back out and got in touch with Manny at Precision, I explained what transpired back in 2016 and he informed me that the GM I had dealt with at that time was no longer with the company but he was trained by the former GM. After setting an appt to re-visit the previous estimate Manny came out and we went over the details of the available units, install process and pricing . Manny is nothing short of an amazing and great guy he truly takes the time to educate and provides complete detailed information on products, the install process and after care service/s. Manny takes care of everything he even addressed a minor issue with the city on the permits, and a placement issue due to the cities lack of accurate information. I've had other companies tell me I need to pull the permits or they would do it for an outrageous amount of money... Manny fair and honest and DONE! I was more than delighted when I asked Manny if they did insulation work as our attic had a deficit of appx 10-12" of insulation. Manny once again rose to the occasion and followed up a day of two later with the pricing to do add 12-14 " of new insulation to the attic. ( The pricing for the amount of work this took was beyond my expectations! ( A Special recognition to "Marco" Who's bravery and dedication to duty to enter and service my attic is worthy of the highest praise" YOUR A ROCK STAR MARCO! My attic has been dubbed the gate of hell as I've personally had to navigate on two separate occasions .... and its not pretty! Once again these guys came back with great pricing and we decided to move forward with setting an install date. The amazing crew from Precision" Benny, Dalton, Marco, and Kyle" all showed up on time and were super professional, and showed great care, and respect for our home and went right to work on the install. They made sure to cover our hardwood floors and took great care while working in our home, and cleaned up after each days work. The install took two days to complete due to the scope of the work that was involved to complete the job. It truly is amazing what goes into adding HVAC to a home its a tremendous amount of work so choosing the right company with high quality workers and products is a decision you'll want to get right the first time! I opted to have a little bit larger unit installed as to be more than adequate to keep our house cool warm and extremely comfortable year round. I'm delighted with the choice that was made as this system is a monster that works amazingly well. The unit may cost a bit more to run at first but given the fact that once the house is cooled off the unit cycles for a lesser amount of time rather than running like a raped ape for hours on end. I could not be more pleased with everyone from Precision Temperature: Manny, Benny, Dalton, Marco, and Kyle. I live about 37 miles east of Lakeside. I was sure to tell them the first time I called... I called for a repair for a walk-in True Refrigerator and was told I would receive a call from a dispatcher. 24 hours went by with no return call. I called again and got the dispatcher and I was excited to hear that a repair could get out soon and that she would call me back with a time estimate. Instead, I received a call back saying that the owners did not want to service me because of the distance. It's amazing that folks will sit in traffic for an hour to drive 15 miles but won't drive to boulevard because of the distance. Now, I know it's their right, but sadly they are the closest service station and I'm pretty offended they refused the work... Two stars for making me wait 24 hours without a refrigerator just to tell me they would rather not do it. read more

Quality service and products. The most affordable company of the 3 quotes that we got for a new HVAC & furnace combo unit, moved to our attic for quieter operation. While installing, they were both clean and courteous. As a side note, they actually contacted us this month about scheduling our first yearly HVAC maintenance (included with system purchase price), instead of us having to track them down, which is a plus in my book. The central air in my unit was not working at my condo (roof unit, part of it originally installed in the 70's) which I discovered right before a 100 degree weekend. I sent out a request on yelp and Precision Temperature replied right away. They sent out Al the same day. Unfortunately, I did not get in touch with the maintenance person to let him on the roof in time (still mad about that) but he was able to come the next morning (even with his busy schedule). Al inspected the a/c unit and not only gave me all of my options but he took the time to explain them and listen to me process them. God bless him. We had our appointment for 3pm to diagnose our heating issue, they showed up early which is great. Mr. Ruben explained everything in depth and he was extremely nice and did a thorough inspection to ensure what the actual cause was for our heat to be starting and not blowing heat and then not starting at all. I had a PTAC unit that needed to be replaced which not many HVAC companies will work on. Precision Temp came out promptly to give an estimate, and immediately ordered the parts and scheduled the work once I accepted. They spent the time to figure out why my existing thermostat wasn't working with the new unit and replaced it with a compatible thermostat. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service and response. We have a commercial True fridge that was running warm, we had paid another company to repair it but it failed hours after that company left. I was not able to get them to come back so I called on Precision Temperature at 10:05am yesterday, Jul 12 to have them assist. Lisa was extremely helpful and said she will get a gentleman to come after he finishes a project that he was working on in another part of town. At 10:19am the service guy from the first company showed up to our door unannounced so I immediately called Precision back at 10:21 (16 mins later) to explain to them the situation and that I will need to cancel the call because these guys showed up. Lisa seems very understanding and says to call them back if I need anything. I immediately noted their information in our rolodex as a vendor to call for all our refrigeration needs for our small business. The tech from the first company did not do the job and our fridge was still not cooling so this morning I called back Precision Temperature to give them the business. I told them who I was and right away they said they don't have any availabilities today, but can have someone out tomorrow and that if something comes up for today they will call me. I was relief and I agree to them getting me in the next day, but appreciate if it can be earlier. I decided to give them a call this afternoon to check if there were any earlier availabilities. They not only said no, but that they are fully booked for the next day thus will need to push me 2 days out, forgetting that they had scheduled me for the next day. When I shared with her what she had said in the morning, her response. " Well we can have someone come out to help you on overtime. We tried to help you yesterday by rearranging calls and we had to make calls to 3 techs to get you on, but you cancelled. I am now fully booked for today and tomorrow". I was caught off guard and confused. She called ONE technician when I initially called yesterday and now I am told 3. It was about 15 minutes when I initially called yesterday to the time I called her back. I was told they can come tomorrow, and now its a "maybe there is something two days out", but if I pay overtime they can have someone out sooner. ?!$! BOTTOM LINE: I am not sure if they are good or not, as I can't even get past the gate keeper. It really doesn't matter how good you are, if you are going to have someone who is passive aggressive and so catty as your scheduler and gate keeper deciding on who and who not to schedule, that is sad. From the pictures and owner response I hope that they are a responsive company and review their protocols and customer service. read more

I do not recommend. I had two advisors come out for the same issue. The first advisor came out & immediately told a third party that they were not responsible for my heater not working, which in fact they were. He charged the woman $334 to LOOK INSIDE my heater, THATS IT. He did not run any tests or anything. That charge was not necessary and she paid it. SECOND advisor came out to double check the first guys statement and all he did was STARE AT ME!!!!! I just want to know what the underlying issue is and the man couldn't keep his eyes off me. Then the invoice that was to be sent in 24hrs took ONE WEEK. Within that one week, my HEATER WAS FIXED and it was LOW AND BEHOLD the third party who damaged my heater in the first place. I don't trust people who don't do the DIAGNOSTIC FIRST and automatically tell me I have to replace my furnace. It's not broken, the recent roof work done to my home was what caused the venting issue. We recently had a new air conditioner installed by this company. Shane gave us the cost on a Friday and we gave him the go ahead. He said they would start the job the next Monday and they would take one day to complete the work. Their techs arrived Monday morning and got right to work. Shane arrived a little later and pitched in to help. By 4 PM that afternoon the A/C was up and running. All the workers were very professional and had the upmost courtesy. When the job was finished all the debris was cleaned up and the house and garage were as clean as when they started. I highly recommend this company. read more

Our company called Precision to come out and check our AC unit for any defects or maintenance that needed to be done as our AC has not been blowing very cold over the summer. Trent (our technician) came very quickly and he was nothing less than professional, kind and affable. Performed a thorough check of everything and made appropriate recommendations for repairs.
