I rarely do reviews. Even if I get so so service. Because as a contractor I feel like I was taken advantage of and is exactly why I started my own Plumbing company. My company just moved in to a new larger building and under our lease are required to get a service contract for our HVAC. Since I previously worked with this company on multiple jobs I called them to evaluate my system and set up a preventative maintenance program for my System. My Tech Joe came out to do just that. I told him what I wanted. Also told him I wanted a new thermostat for the system. He went on the roof evaluated the system and came back with some needed repairs. Since I have only been here for 3 weeks I called my property management company in the presence of Joe so we were all on the same page. They informed me my system was under warranty with my new lease and they would have it repaired at no cost to me. I told Joe I still need the preventative maintenance agreement for my system regardless. Oh yeah and that new thermostat. He said sure. He went back on the roof for about an hour came in put the thermostat in and handed me a bill for $900. Keep in mind I was not given any pricing upfront nor was I asked if I wanted anything other than an evaluation done to my system. I looked up the price of the thermostat and my price was about $85. I am sure they get better pricing than I do. It took him 20-30 minutes to install and since I did not agree on any other work other than an evaluation of my system. You do the math. $800 in labor really ? I could put a stop payment on the check but will not do that. Instead I will use my social media platforms to spread the word of the dishonest practices and believe I can cost them way more than they ever charged me for the un-ethical practice's of my service call. So be smart and stay far away from this company. Call anyone else you will have a better experience. read more

I called Precision after our Heat went out during this last cold spell. Lisa answered the phone and was able to get me squeezed in for same day service which was great for us because we have a newborn. She stated Manny would be arriving at 2pm and would give a price prior to doing any repairs. Manny showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He said the furnace should be replaced due to age and condition, but all that was needed was a new ignitor to get heat. We went ahead with the ignitor repair and he said they would refund the ignitor costs if we replaced the furnace within 30 days. We scheduled an estimate for the following week so me and my wife would be present. We also scheduled a couple other estimates. After a ton of information from the three compaines we received bids from we chose Precision Temperature to do the work. Shane arrived on time as well and gave us a great deal on Trane brand equipment which we found to be top of the line after doing some research with consumer reports and other internet inquiries. Shane's knowledge far exceeded every other companies knowledge. He wasn't just a salesman like the other companies had sent. He scheduled Manny to do the installation since we loved Manny's service. Our system is now quieter than ever and they honored the refund for repairing the system the week prior. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND precision temperature to take care of you and give an honest price. Our home's ducting needed a serious facelift due a previous installer who no idea on how to properly design, balance & install ducting. After doing some research and educating myself on proper ducting installation, I interviewed 3 HVAC contractors for their ideas and quotes. Precision Temperature was by far the leader of the pack and won the job. From the initial inspection to the cleanup I can say nothing but 5 stars. Shane's initial visit for the quote left all the competitors in the dust. He conducted a very detailed inspection and methodically worked up a new design which would solve the air flow issues. The new Precision Temperature design met my expectations and the price was very reasonable. The cherry on the cake was a $300.00 A/C service that Precision would provide for only $50.00 (SDGE A/C Quality Care Program). The one day job to rip out and install ducting went off without any issues at all. Oh yea, we had the A/C serviced the same day too. The techs were not shy about reaching back to the office for any questions or concerns during the install. I say this because I've seen way to many jobs get butchered due to short cuts or wrong guessing. Not this crew, failure is not an option and the customer comes first. Floor Furnace. Finding someone to work on floor furnaces is very difficult. I got bids from 5 companies, 3 of which came out and charged me for an estimate then said they did not work on Floor furnaces, but wanted to sell me a new HVAC system or install a wall heater. Neither of which was what I wanted and did not fit our Historical home. After three frustrating weeks of searching, I called Precision Temperature. The call taker had to to find someone in their staff who could do the work, as floor furnaces are rare. The tec they sent out, Carlos M, was was on time, respectful, very professional and provided a fair price and a plan that worked for me. Every person I have spoken with at P.T. was very nice, professional and service oriented. I am very impressed , kind of shocked actually. Great group of people. I have sent their contact info to several friends who have also had trouble finding good HVAC service. Kyle H and his assistant Adrian did an excellent job. I am the manager of a small apartment complex. I first contacted Precision Temperature 3 years ago to look at my heat pump system as it wasn't blowing cold air. Their rate (compared to other companies) was lower and their service was exceptional. Although the system was old and could have easily been replaced, Shane was able to get the system working and it has lasted for 3 more years. Since then, they have repaired and or replaced other units in the complex. They are on time and make sure you are completely satisfied before they leave. The girls in the office are wonderful and easy to work with and very knowledgeable. They have a fleet of trucks equipped with everything they need. Yesterday, Kyle and Aldo were at my unit replacing the system. They were here on time, ready to work and got the unit installed in no time in 90 degree temperature. Had a problem with our LG mini split. I installed the system myself about 3 months ago and just recently started getting CH error codes. I was a little hesitant to call the pro's because I did the install myself but, The error code descriptions that were tripping were a little above my skill set so I decided to give Precision Temperature a call. We called on a Monday and they came out on Thursday (the soonest they could come out was on Wednesday). We were given a 8-10am time window and the tech arrived at 8! The technician Carlos was super friendly and very knowledgeable, he helped me out with every question I had! I feel as if Carlos went above and beyond in his performance and due to that reason if any issues ever arise with our mini split in the future, I will definitely be a repeat customer with Precision Temperature and definitely request for Carlos! I had an intermittent issue with my heater. I called the office to schedule an appointment and the girls in the office were very helpful and professional. On the day of service the tech called to let me know he was leaving another job and would be there shortly which was as scheduled. When he arrived he was very courteous and professional and got started right away. He quickly identified the issue and finished in a timely manner. After he was finished the owner called to make sure that everything was taken care of and to my satisfaction. It is rare today to get that level of professional service from start to finish. Last week I was having trouble getting service for my Carrier Heat Pump. I was having trouble getting in touch with my last service technician so I elected to call someone else. I was incredibly impressed with my service! Juan was extremely polite, made sure to inform me of everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He was quick, but definitely efficient and took the time to make sure everything was the way it was supposed to be. He informed me of what maintenance I may need to do in the future and about the time it will need to be done. I had my central air system checked/tested by Oscar in June 2020. I was very impressed with the work he performed, especially when he thoroughly cleaned the outside condensing unit with soap and water. This was the first time that unit has been cleaned in this manner since being installed 22 years ago. Before he entered our house, he slipped on shoe covering, and again I was impressed, especially since we don't wear shoes in our house. Oscar did an overall outstanding job. Our furnace stopped working and we called Precision Temperature since had them assist with some A/C and thermostat problems a few years ago. They are very responsive. Our Unit was 27 yrs old and had some major issues. They gave us the bottom line up front versus trying to nickel and dime us. We had them replace the furnace. Your company was recommended to me by a family member when I was having A/C issues. Admon was my tech, he was professional, polite and knowledgeable and prompt. Admon asked me questions about the unit and then went straight to work to diagnose the issues. After discussing/explaining the issue, he discussed the cost in advance of repairing, once agreed upon I was glad to hear that Admon had all of the supplies and parts available and my unit was serviced and repaired within the hour. Had AC installed in a hurry last July after our first heat wave. Mike and everyone at Precision treated me and my family like we were their own. They answered all of my questions and were always easy to get in the phone before and after the install...we added a duct to our garage apartment after the fact. Chuck was absolutely phenomenal. He quickly diagnosed and solved the issues with our machinery. We had 5 other companies try to service our machine and Precision Temperature was the only company who actually helped us.
