I'm trying to understand why my experience is so different from these 5 star reviews…read more. After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. Overall, I've been very happy with Atex and would definitely recommend them.

I spoke to rep, Cameron, at (972) 391-7834 and to cust serv rep, Kayla, who both confirmed tech, Aubray Rivera, of Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control was still confirmed to render service, as scheduled and agreed to today. I have all receipts, time stamps, and recordings of these conversations. Unfortunately, as of this writing, it is 4:07pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, and still no word from the Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control technician...and these guys have my credit card on file...and I took off 4 hours of work today to commit to being present for my service as we agreed and was stood up. Absolutely horrible waste of my time and what a horrible company experience. I was a case-study in how NOT to maintain my dryer duct: It had been almost 20 years since it had been cleaned. We bought a new drier, which shut down due to restricted air flow. I had had a competitor come out the day before Omer's visit; while friendly, all they had was a hand-operated floppy brush more suited to HVAC ducts. They had no luck, and suggested I just move the dryer out to the garage and put in a new duct! Omer arrived with 2 different cameras, and a range of stiff brushes which he worked with his drill, in very tight spaces, and was finally able to dislodge what must have been a 10#, soaking wet mass of lint. He installed an upgraded flexible duct and a new outside duct cover, and cleaned everything up. I've learned my lesson: call Lady Bird out annually, and request Omer!

Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). I had noticed carpenter bees and also though we had carpenter ants. Chris was prompt, professional and called me directly when the tenant asked for more than we contracted for. Impressed by his integrity, I recommended him to my landlord for the home we're leasing in Austin. He arrived right on time and I was glad to meet him--such a nice young man, with impeccable manners. I had a great experience with this beekeeper and highly recommend them. They were easy to…read morecommunicate with and scheduling was simple. When I called, the owner, Keith, answered personally. I explained that honey bees had entered my house through the siding, and after I texted him some photos, he recommended cutting through the drywall from inside the garage instead of opening up the exterior of the house. It made a lot of sense and minimized the impact to the outside. Before opening the wall, Keith explained that they use their own specially blended spray to gently daze the bees, making the removal process safer. He also used a thermal camera to pinpoint the exact location of the hive, which was in my garage ceiling and the wall near the ceiling. They carefully opened the wall, removed the insulation, and took out the entire honey bee hive. Fortunately, there wasn't any honey stored yet, so there was no sticky mess to clean up. After the removal, they nailed the drywall piece back into place, which I really appreciated. I would appreciate it if he took pictures of the hive and the hole in wall before closing. So I only got to post the after picture There were still quite a few bees flying around outside after they finished, but Keith explained that without the hive and the queen, the remaining bees would eventually leave. Sure enough, within two days, they were all gone. Keith was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything throughout the process. If you need honey bee removal, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
