We gave this place three chances, and every single time there were serious issues. During our first two visits, the meat was spoiled -- the smell was strong even from a distance. It was impossible to ignore. On our third visit, we ordered a specific lemonade, but were given a completely different one, and it was close to its expiration date. This level of quality and service is unacceptable. We are extremely disappointed and will not be coming back. read more

Back again. Why mess with perfection? Today, I met Armen. After chatting it up a bit, Armen figured out what my next menu item should be. I can't wait to try it. Maya, the five star, first class server was here again to meet my needs. Then Sam called to make sure my visit was exquisite. Sam did not disappointment. He pushed everything that WAS perfect to more perfection. He and Armen told me to try the "Watermelon Red Bull Special". Y'all better order it the next time you visit, you gotta get this beverage. One sip and I said, "Are you kidding me?" It was to die for. My meal today was the same as last week. No disappointments there. After a long day at the dentist's office and not being able to eat for a whole hour, I was literally starving and wanted to try Paapaiii BBQ. This restaurant is an Armenian/Georgian/Eastern European style eatery. I was there yesterday around 4:15pm. As I was about to walk in, Gayane with a pleasant smile wanted to know if I wanted to eat in or order food to go. I told her I would like to sit on the patio, soak up the sun and the beautiful weather. She brought me a menu and looking at the menu which had a lot of entreés to choose from, I decided to go with their 5x Large Khinkali with ground beef that was topped and garnished with fresh cilantro & pomegranate. I also ordered 1x Large Blinchik (stuffed with Meat) & 1x large Chicken BBQ Wrap that came with a side of tomato sauce. The Chicken Wrap was toasted very well and inside were a lot of healthy vegetables: Mayo, Ketchup, Raw Onions, Pickles, Cilantro, Lettuce & tomato. All the fine dishes tasted divine, flavorful and very fresh!! I also wanted to try couple of their fruit juices and the Mikado dessert, but she told me they were out. It's ok, there will definitely be a next time because I am planning to return back next time I am in Glendale. For one person it was a lot of food. Total came out to be $57.38. Didn't make or break the bank. Was very content & happy with my dining experience!! Comfortable setting and had some left overs too.. Love this place, I always order khinkali, which are large dumplings and filled with such a flavorful broth. I was disappointed that they now charge for sour cream, as it used to be included with the khinkalis in the past. I also have tried their lula beef kabob, oven roasted potatoes, and their Armenian salad. Everything was very tasty and fresh. They have a huge menu. Service is good, I normally come for lunch. The food was delicious, everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they care about quality. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant was very clean, comfortable, and had great background music that created a relaxing atmosphere. It's not easy to impress us when it comes to restaurants, but this place definitely did. The server was so polite he explained what each dish was It was my first time to try their cranberry nut buttered rice, and dumplings butter poured over. It was totally delicious!!!! I was on my way to visit my son who works down the street at select physical therapy... then I came across this cute little restaurant!! I have also ordered the lamb soup. When the first came out, it did not have the covered baked dough over it. They said it will take another 20 minutes to bake that and they said most people eat it without it. I was referring to the photo that they had advertise (by the way they need to update the prices of their food. Those are old prices on Yelp. a/o 02/09/2026!) it showed a picture of the soufflé over it. (Pastry dough!) So I wait patiently for that lamb suit... Giving Paapaiii BBQ a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The place is clean, service is great, and they've got a cool little setup outside--if you're sitting on the patio, there's even a button you press to call over a server. Small touch, but I liked that. Street parking only, but there's a decent amount around. Drinks were on point--especially the sparkling water, which was good quality. Food overall? I'd say a 9 out of 10 except for the kebabs. The chicken kebab was dry and just okay (maybe a 5 or 6), but the beef kebab was rough--dry, bland, and hard to get down. Definitely not something I'd order again. That said, everything else slapped. The pork, pork belly, and lamb were all really solid--great flavor and cooked well. Bathrooms were clean, and the overall vibe was comfortable. I'll definitely be back, just steering clear of the kebabs next time. read more

Phenomenal Food, Disappointing Service Experience Paapaiii BBQ absolutely crushed it with the lamb chops -- they were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best lamb dishes I've had anywhere. The presentation was beautiful and the attention to quality was obvious. Major respect to the chef! Unfortunately, the customer service didn't match the food quality. I ordered Special Chicken and Beef Kebabs to-go, which clearly show on their menu (even the to-go version) that they come with a red tomato dipping sauce. When I picked up my food, there was no sauce included. The cashier told me it's "only for dine-in." I showed her the menu, but instead of correcting it, they charged me $1.99 for a small side of sauce. It's not about the money -- it's about honoring what you advertise. I had just spent over $100. Small moves like this leave a bigger bad taste than missing sauce ever could. If the sauce policy changed, the menu should be updated. Customers shouldn't have to argue or feel like they're being squeezed over something so minor. Bottom Line: * The food is outstanding. * The management needs to tighten up on customer service. I dropped by with my friend to try this place out. They have plenty of street parking so that won't be an issue. There is also plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The service was great and everyone was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The staff would check in to make sure everything was good and would always be available if we needed something. Now on to the food. We ordered the Armenian salad, the lentil soup, special beef luleh and boneless pork. Everything came out fast and was delicious!! The lentil soup also came with a lot of side items which was cool. We had also ordered water and tan for the drinks. All of this came out to around $64 which is a steal. A nice sit down restaurant with many options that filled two hungry adults and very affordable? Sign me up. Definitely check out this location!!! read more

While I was in the area I decided to give this place a try. It's a new restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a beef lule kebab plate to go, I didn't want to dine in . The kebab tasted ok (not the best I had) but the sides were better tasting for sure. The young lady taking my order was friendly but it took 40 minutes to get my food. DON'T GO HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT AN OLD PERVERTED MAN CHEF TO BREAK DOWN THE DOOR WHILE YOU'RE ON THE TOILET. The male old guy chef forcefully forced opened the locked bathroom door while I, a female customer, was doing #2 in the bathroom yesterday. I was in there 7-8 min. One of their staff members told me that someone told me the bathroom had someone inside but he decided to do it anyway. Their staff member Mary lied and said they had on video he was trying to talk but the owner Samvel called me later in the evening and said that he never tried to talk through the door. He didn't even need to use the toilet. He just came, broke down the door and went back to the kitchen when I told him off. The owner said he would show me the video but when I called to get the address the day of the appointment, he refused. When I asked more questions, they kept changing their story as to why he broke down the locked door to the bathroom while I was inside. The food and service is good but the Armenian workers there are no good. read more

The food here is truly delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. No complaints at all when it comes to the kitchen. Every dish we tried was excellent. However, the service leaves room for improvement. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu and was unsure about what was or wasn't available. We asked to order a plate of fresh greens and add cheese instead of the usual lavash and fruit (as listed in their cheese plate). The server agreed and said it would be no problem. But later, when our main dishes arrived, we were told they couldn't do that -- and that we'd have to order the cheese separately. It made little sense, especially since both items are already on the menu. The logic behind this decision wasn't clear, and the communication took too long. On top of that, even with only about four tables occupied in the entire restaurant and several staff members present, the service was very slow .Waiting for the check took much longer than expected. The location is lovely, right in the heart of Glendale. But with such a promising setup and excellent food, we were hoping for a more attentive service experience. read more

We told the server and instead of being apologetic all she did was give excuses and insisted it couldn't be from them that maybe the hair landed from sitting outdoors, yes that makes sense, the hair landed on the bottom of the food. We were disgusted and disappointed with how it was handled. We want to give business to the small businesses but this is not how you handle situations like this.
