Dumplings

The server was so polite he explained what each dish was It was my first time to try their cranberry nut buttered rice, and dumplings butter poured over. It was totally delicious!!!! I was on my way to visit my son who works down the street at select physical therapy... then I came across this cute little restaurant!! I have also ordered the lamb soup. When the first came out, it did not have the covered baked dough over it. They said it will take another 20 minutes to bake that and they said most people eat it without it. I was referring to the photo that they had advertise (by the way they need to update the prices of their food. Those are old prices on Yelp. a/o 02/09/2026!) it showed a picture of the soufflé over it. (Pastry dough!) So I wait patiently for that lamb suit... I will continue my review later so far the food has been amazing here!!!

Food was amazing -- the flavors, the grill, everything coming out of the kitchen was top notch. If you're into good barbecue and Armenian/Eastern European‑style dishes, this place delivers. But it's not perfect: prices are steep and not always clear (you end up paying extra for things you thought were included, like bread). The service needs work -- a lot of wait, miscommunication, times when staff seemed overwhelmed or didn't know what was going on. One person stood out though -- the Russian/Asian speaking server was really helpful and made things better when everything else seemed sloppy.

Giving Paapaiii BBQ a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The place is clean, service is great, and they've got a cool little setup outside--if you're sitting on the patio, there's even a button you press to call over a server. Small touch, but I liked that. Street parking only, but there's a decent amount around. Drinks were on point--especially the sparkling water, which was good quality. Food overall? I'd say a 9 out of 10 except for the kebabs. The chicken kebab was dry and just okay (maybe a 5 or 6), but the beef kebab was rough--dry, bland, and hard to get down. Definitely not something I'd order again. That said, everything else slapped. The pork, pork belly, and lamb were all really solid--great flavor and cooked well. Bathrooms were clean, and the overall vibe was comfortable. I'll definitely be back, just steering clear of the kebabs next time.

Fresh baked bread

Paapaiii BBQ delivers bold smoky flavor, tender meats, great sides, and friendly service.

Phenomenal Food, Disappointing Service Experience Paapaiii BBQ absolutely crushed it with the lamb chops -- they were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best lamb dishes I've had anywhere. The presentation was beautiful and the attention to quality was obvious. Major respect to the chef! Unfortunately, the customer service didn't match the food quality. I ordered Special Chicken and Beef Kebabs to-go, which clearly show on their menu (even the to-go version) that they come with a red tomato dipping sauce. When I picked up my food, there was no sauce included. The cashier told me it's "only for dine-in." I showed her the menu, but instead of correcting it, they charged me $1.99 for a small side of sauce. It's not about the money -- it's about honoring what you advertise. I had just spent over $100. Small moves like this leave a bigger bad taste than missing sauce ever could. If the sauce policy changed, the menu should be updated. Customers shouldn't have to argue or feel like they're being squeezed over something so minor. Bottom Line: * The food is outstanding. * The management needs to tighten up on customer service. Because great food deserves a great experience from start to finish

10/10! The food was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and Anita was so nice. She provided amazing service and we had a great experience. We will definitely be back, everything we tried was delicious.

Wow. That's all. This place is legit. The filet shish kabob…read morewas so tender and perfectly spiced. I could have eaten that all day. The chicken was juicy and mouthwatering deliciousness. The lamb was gamey, packed with flavor. We enjoyed every bite and can't wait to try this place out again. We ordered takeout, food was ready on time, service was great. Parking is a bit challenging since it's only street parking, but that's Montrose :P

The Seasoning Alley Mediterranean restaurant in Montrose…read more showed promise but landed somewhere in the middle. Here are some impressions from our visit earlier today. The restaurant is a casual, clean spot and has a welcoming environment. Service was attentive and friendly. Our salad was fresh and delicious and the meal portions were large and plentiful. Good hearty sized plates but low on taste and quality. Unfortunately, the pita was one of many low points. The pita arrived cold and slightly stiff, not warm and soft as we'd hoped. It lacked the toasty, chewy texture that makes pita so comforting and effective for scooping up dips and bites. Another low point was that our rice was barely warm, almost cold. Not good. The worst part of our meal had to be the hummus. It was almost frozen and tasted as if it was just scooped out of the freezer. Terribly disappointing. Our Chicken Kabob had a tender interior with a nicely charred exterior. The spices and marinade showed potential, but the overall flavor profile didn't quite soar beyond the ordinary. Wouldn't call it standout, yet it wasn't bad. It was just barely okay. The falafel tasted fresh, but the exterior could have used a bit more crispness. Interior was moist enough, with chickpea flavor present, though it didn't leave a lasting impression. Our overall impressions were that our meals were just barely okay for a casual dinner, but it didn't move into the "great" category. We were disappointed. We expected better quality. For improvement, heating the pita and rice to perfection and dialing in the falafel crust would elevate the overall experience. A touch more depth in the chicken kabob seasoning or a signature sauce could help distinguish the dishes. If you're in the mood for a low-key Mediterranean option with reliable service, this spot is worth a try. It's a safe bet for an okay meal, with good service and good size portions for a casual night out with friends or family. Considering their prices, for repeat visits, I'd hope to see more consistency across staples like the rice, pita and falafel, and a bolder finish on the kebabs to push the overall rating from "good but not great" to "really good." Pita and rice arrived cold. The Falafel could have been crisper. Chicken kabob flavor could be more distinct. The Hummus was horrible. Next time, I'll pass on this place. Cheers!

Only note for next time: I'll ask for it a little more well-done (just personal preference... I like my chicken with a little extra bite ). The eggplant caviar was solid and a generous portion, but the real standout? The Caesar wrap. It completely lived up to the hype -- bold, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I almost ordered a second one to take home. Also worth mentioning: the son of the owner who took my order was super friendly and had great customer service, even with a long line. He kept things moving while still being engaging, which I appreciated. I was excited to hear they're opening a Studio City location -- I'll definitely be back. This place is a must.
