My recent experience with Staud has been so disappointing that I have opted to post how bad my…read moreexperience was so that it doesn't happen again to another customer. The first time I stumbled upon the Staud store in Boston was amazing. I bought the dress I wore to my civil wedding and I was absolutely in love! The sales associate was great (unfortunately I cannot remember her name but she was petite, very kind, and helpful). Hopefully she is recorded when I ordered the dress because she helped me order my size in the store and actually suggested the dress when I was in the changing room- Which is why I'm so shocked and disappointed with this recent experience. I went back to the store recently and another sales associate was working. Not only was she not very helpful but she basically fat shamed me when I asked her which pieces the store carried in a 14 (which was already after I had asked for a few things to try and she said they didn't carry any that would fit me). I ended up finding a sweater and I wanted to buy it, which felt like an obstacle itself. She was hesitant to check me out when I said I only had Apple Pay so I decided if I wanted the sweater then I would buy it online because she didn't deserve the commission / the sale. The first red flag I found the sweater on the website and got the 15% sign up offer, which was great until I was basically forced to pay for additional shipping service through Route. Seems like Staud does not take responsibility for its own shipping service and returns, and makes customers pay extra for it? And that company didn't even give me proper tracking ability on their app, which I needed to download to "track" my package. Kind of shocking that a company which sells clothing at $400+ does not provide proper shipping or care on its items. The Second red flag I just initiated a return because I bought a dress with the sweater online and unfortunately it's too short. It was interesting to get an offer of the extra 15% credit if I bought something now with the refund but I opted to move forward to get the money back on my card. Before I can even initiate my return label, I get another pop up asking if I want the store credit, at the full refunded amount, or money back on my card, with a $10 fee. At this point, this whole thing just seems like your company will do anything to keep my money- everything but provide good customer service and experience. The third and final red flag Absolutely so disappointed in this whole experience. Such a shame. I could handle the bad experience with the sales associate because clearly she is just one associate in a group of many. But to then constantly have to jump through these hoops for the online experience is just so awful that I will not be purchasing anything from Staud in the future, and will be sure to share this experience. I was fat shamed and paid $26 for it. I hope no other customer gets treated the same way from this company again.

Needless to say for a kid that has never really had an accident, this was going to ruin our day. Can you imagine a children's museum that doesn't have a gift shop. Worse yet, there really weren't any places we could get stuff to get him cleaned up. My wife yelped for Kid's clothing and LL Bean turned up not too far away. We walked over not sure if we would find anything. Taylor welcomed us and asked us how our day was going. I shared our situation while my wife rolled her eyes at me. I mean why skimp on details when you need an outfit fast and the sizing isn't what uou are used. Taylor found us several options of shirts. My son chose the purple t-shirt. She went back and found more pant sizes. He left in a pair of blue waterproof pants to go with his purple shirt. Taylor even told us that oddly thus happens and we aren't the first family looking for kids clothing after visiting the museum. Alas they don't sell underwear but it slvaged our afternoon and was enough to get him down for a nap. I consider that a WIN with a capital W. My wife found some traveling clothing as well because whe wanted to support the store as well. I really wanted to buy stuff as well but I run way too hot and it is September. The summer stuff is gone but there is always their website.
