I was in the market for patio furniture and stated looking at Pottery Barn wicker sets and was appalled that the cushions were priced separately from the already pricey skeleton of the set, so I was turned off to say the least. Then I was walking my dog and I saw a Madbury Road labeled truck parked in my neighborhood. I went home googled it and I had furniture the next day. I dealt with Tim who is one of the owners and he answered all my annoying questions and the prices were way cheaper than PB and other competitors. The cool thing is because they don't have a storefront (however you can go to their warehouse) they bring the furniture to you to check out... you aren't obligated to buy it but if you do (and I did) shipping is free- so I didn't have to pay to have it delivered. I also noticed that sets at big box chains (looking at your Home Depot) the sets are kind of small and junky. The Madbury Road are much bigger and gorgeous- they also are as nice or if not nicer than Pottery Barn (my sister was not pleased with her PB purchase after she saw my MD purchase). I ended up buying the Malta due to the size and shape. Tim also helped me hoist the set on my roofdeck which was way above and beyond. Now that winter is here I have stored all my cushions in my basement and put a tarp over the set, its holding up! I think this summer I will order a lounge chair for sunning! read more

As a disclaimer, I am a friend of one of the owners, Tim. For years, I heard him talk about his business model: buy the same quality outdoor furniture you find at designer stores, directly from the manufacturer, and offer much lower prices by cutting out the middle man. Interesting enough, but completely irrelevant until I suddenly had a back yard to transform on a budget. My husband and I first searched places like Target and Kmart, because we didn't think we could afford Tim's pieces. However, the quality and comfort is so drastically superior -seriously, sit in one of the cheap, flimsy department store chairs for comparison- that it seemed like a bad investment to buy from anywhere but Madbury Road. Now that we have the furniture, we couldn't be happier. It turned our unloved little pocket of a yard, into a real urban oasis. It's my new favorite room of the house, and definitely has the most comfortable, best looking furniture. It's also worth noting the set has withstood wine spills, bird messes, and a two year old; she likes to make forts out of the cushions, and use the base as her trampoline. This stuff is legit. I started looking at outdoor furniture at the end of 2013. I was looking for something big enough for someone to take a nap on, comfortably, but also be able to use in an outdoor party situation. Everything I looked at was between 4 and 5k. Nice stuff, but a bit too much for me. A friend invited me to go to the Home Show in Boston and we ran into the Madbury Road booth. So glad we did! They had EXACTLY what I was looking for at half the price!! I worked with Tim and purchased the Santorini Sectional set right there. I was having work done in my yard and didn't want it delivered right away. We corresponded via email, after the show and worked out a date for delivery. Time gave me a time frame of between 10 and 11 am, and he was there at 10:05! He set up the furniture and I love it! Can't wait for the weather to get better so I can use it. I can't speak highly enough of this place. I have a couch, table and chairs that look great and have aged well even through winters in the northeast. Above all, the customer service has been amazing. My outdoor table was damaged in a storm and I lost some cushions. Madbury worked with me to see if the table could be repaired with spare parts at no cost and, when that didn't work, they helped me replace my old table at a reasonable cost and even found some replacement pillows. I do not review to many products, however these guys knocked it ouit of the park with the quality and customer service they provided. I spoke directly with the owner on a saturday afternoon and less the 24 hours later the furniture was set up on my patio !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
