Food was as expected of a P.F. Chang's - tasty, flavorful and varied. I started with the edamame which I just can't seem to replicate at home despite multiple attempts. Dinner was ginger chicken and broccoli. The steamed broccoli was VERY lightly steamed. Could have been cooked a bit longer to make cutting the large pieces easier and eating gracefully possible. The chicken was tender but swimming in sauce. This is one of the lower calorie dishes but the volume of sauce makes me think it couldn't be exactly accurate. I appreciate the brown rice availability! Service was outstanding! Our server was friendly, attentive and willing to chat up our group of ladies. When I first came to P.F. Chang's, it was a revelation. Growing up in Montana, there wasn't much of a selection on anything other than burgers and fries and pizza. Anyway, old Changy's was the bee's knees for this Montana boy. Now, I don't know if the food quality has gone down or if I've just tried many more places. Regardless, its food quality isn't near what I used to think it was. Its good quality is best described as "meh." There isn't anything I dislike, but nothing is particularly good. We had kung pão chicken, Mongolian beef, and steamed dumplings during my last visit. For the quality of the food, it just costs too much. I'd rather go somewhere cheaper like Green Panda and get much more, tastier food. 5/10 won't try again. read more

The restaurant is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside. We didn't have a wait, but we also went at 5:45pm on a Wednesday. The server (when she finally came) was very chipper. Almost too chipper. Kinda took away from the quiet, kid-less romantic evening we were going for. The food was brought out in a good amount of time and the portions were good for sharing between the two of us. For our appetizers we got the Kaleidoscope Roll and Saigon Summer Rolls. Both of those came out as pictured. I preferred the sushi while my hubby preferred the rolls (mainly because of the dipping sauce they came with). OK, I know it's chain food, but while PF Chang's is not the cool family owned place on the corner with authentic schezwan it is darn good food. My personal favorite dish is the orange chicken and of course you can't go wrong with the lettuce wraps. The staff at this location was very friendly and the food was well prepared. Overall a decent dining experience. Really there isn't a lot more to say about it, PF Chang's isn't authentic Chinese and it isn't the best out there, but it is decent food for a reasonable price. read more

I looked through the menu and the salt and pepper shrimp sounded pretty good. I noticed none of the prices were showing For any of them items, I tried to find the prices, but they weren't made available. I thought it would cost no more than 12.99 so I went ahead and ordered it. The shrimp was disgusting. It was soggy and tasted like chicken out of a can. Also it tasted like they completely forgot to put salt and pepper on it. Then I got my bill and it was for like 22$. If you want to spend a lot of money on gross food come here. If you'd rather spend less money on really good food, I recommend the vegan Vietnamese restaurant off of center street in Provo called vegan sun. Very good prices for very good food. read more

Good was good tonight but the service was a problem. Our server tonight seemed very forgetful but it was ok. The problem came when we went to pay. I tried to use a gift card (I knew it was activated because I have the receipt, it was purchased at Smiths). The server said it was a bad gift card and it didn't work. After I paid I called the hotline on the back of the gift card and it said it was valid with $50. We asked the manager if they could check the card again. Then the manager said straight up the card was fake and the system didn't recognize it. In front of her I called the hotline and it showed her it had a balance. She still called it fake and said we couldn't get our money back. She eventually compromised and traded our gift card for another. I've been to the SLC location many times and it is always great. The OREM location is TERRIBLE! We went mid afternoon and there were only 4 tables of guest including ours. To start the service was slow and the servers were too busy talking to each other to care about the customers. Ordered hot & sour soup and it arrived COLD. Not warm, cold. When I asked for hot soup it came back warm and tasted of so much white vinegar it barely had any other flavor. Back it went. Ordered the Mongolian Beef and it was not very hot temperature wise. It also was to be served on noodles but was served with a bowl of rice because "we are out of noodles and we won't have any more until dinner time but if you want other noodles you'll need to pay for them." Time to talk to the manager but "there are no managers here." THAT WAS OBVIOUS!! Bottom line.... this place needs a major overhaul. Stay clear! It was TERRIBLE! I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had here. It was our sons 16 birthday. We ordered a few appetizers and a family portion of an entree. We waited an hour for the entree. His dessert for his birthday was delivered before our dinner. The waitress said she mistakenly gave our family portion to another table, so she brought us their personal portion and promised our order soon. She brought our rice out to accompany the entree 20 mins before the entree. When she finally brought out the entree, it was another personal portion. No discount was offered. Despite it being 4:45 pm, and not extremely busy, such a lack of customer concern was shown. I was so disappointed and frankly irritated. This was our sons 16th birthday as well. Got some PF Takeout today. It quenched my craving for sure! Obviously the quality of the food was taken down a notch due to the takeout situation. But overall I'm pleased with my experience. Also fun fact - they do curbside delivery so you don't even have to get out of your car! The chicken lettuce wraps are always a MUST. They gave us a straight up half head of lettuce. So so good, even takeout! We also got the crispy green beans and Chang's spicy chicken. Both were delish but a little soggy (naturally) by the time we got it home. It's a little expensive but you can't get their recipes anywhere else! So you just have to know you're splurging a little bit going into it. read more

Chang's you had your chance...Now, to the review I've frequented P.F. Chang's many times over the years. Today my wife and I had a terrible experience. My wife and I decided to eat at your restaurant this afternoon. It was relatively busy but nothing out of the ordinary. We were seated and ready to enjoy a good meal together. Our server, with a stack of dishes in hand, asked what we would like to drink. I thought to myself, "That's odd that a server would quickly ask what we wanted to drink while balancing a stack of dirty dishes." But that was just the start. Our server brought out our drinks, which took a LONG time to get to us. Again, I thought it wasn't that big of a deal. Then IT happened. My wife picked up her glass of water and the bottom of the glass literally fell apart, spilling water all over her pants and shirt. I've never seen anything like it before. It's lucky that she wasn't cut. No one came to our rescue. I had to flag down another server to help us. She apologized and dried off the table. My wife exited to the bathroom to try to dry herself off. When she returned there was still water on the chair and floor. I waited, thinking that someone--maybe even our server--would come back and help us. Nope! Nothing! Nada. I HAD TO GRAB A USED NAPKIN OFF ANOTHER TABLE TO DRY OFF THE WATER!! Really? Is that the kind of service you want at your restaurant? So, we waited and waited and waited for our food. I even thought maybe a manager would come out and talk to us. Nope. My wife sat there in her wet clothing, patiently waiting for our food. By this time, the restaurant was quite empty. There was no excuse for this poor service. Your people should be ashamed. The server, finally, brought our food and she said, "The lettuce wraps aren't quite done yet." Thirty minutes and your people can't pull a few pieces of lettuce of a head? As you can tell I'm very frustrated. I think the worst part about our terrible experience today was how my wife was treated. She deserves better. read more

I think it's really strange that only 54 people have reviewed P.F. Chang's and it only has 3 stars when it is consistently packed. I don't know, but obviously, a lot of people love it and so do I and so does my whole family. This is one of my favorite places to go and I go here at least once a month. Here are my favorite amazing dishes: pan-fried Pork Dumplings, Hand-Folded Crab Wantons, Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Rick's Northern Style Spare Ribs, Dynamite Shrimp, Wok-Fired Filet Mignon, Surf & Turf, Walnut Shrimp with Melon, Salt & Pepper Prawns, The Great Wall of Chocolate, and Chocolate Dome. Oh, and can people please stop complaining about busy restaurants. I love PF Chang's. My husband and I have been to it in New York and here. No one will ever beat their lettuce wraps. Their soups are so good - I always have to order a bowl, have one cup while I'm there and bring the rest home for dinner the following night with my leftover lettuce wraps. You cannot go wrong with anything you order from there. You get enough food to share or to take the rest home for another meal or two. Whenever I am sick with allergies or a cold, my husband brings me my soup and lettuce wraps so i'll eat and feel better. Well worth the money and any wait time you may have. I seldom write online comments and I rarely write reviews, unless I feel strongly about something. This time, I feel strongly about my experience at PFC Chang's. I have been to PFC Chang's 3 times in 15 years. I keep hoping for a darn good meal with good service. I don't mind paying more if I get those two things. However, each time I've been there I've received a very expensive, but just "ok" meal with poor service. Restaurant Pet Peeves: --Poor/slow and inadequate service --Dirty and/or sticky tables and chairs --Servers that don't remove dirty dishes from the table as you dine --Servers/backs that leave tables with dirty dishes, etc without trying to clear them as they go --Wobbly tables and chairs PF Chang's had all of the above and it wasn't noon yet. Initially, the greeter selected a table that was wobbly. I cannot sit at or on a rocking table or chair without becoming motion sick. Informing the greeter of this, rather than seating me at a stable table, even though there were plenty other tables available, then working on the wobbly table later, she tried to steady the table with a napkin. Bless her heart, it didn't work and I had to move anyway. Also, that table and chairs needed to be wiped down as there was food on the chairs and the table was still sticky. Service was slow even though the restaurant wasn't full. The server, though very nice, tried twice to bring me hot tea, but each time it was tepid. The pot was hot, the water was not. While the food is better than many, in its category, in Utah County, it is expensive. I ordered 3 appetizers and it cost over $30. I encourage the owners/managers to review staff training and service practices regularly. All-in-all, for this diner, it wasn't worth it. Again. It will be another 15 years before I go back. I know there are plenty of people who are likely to dismiss PF Chang's China Bistro as a mass produced Americanized version of pan-Asian food--like most of the people who have written reviews for this location. Perhaps it is, but to outright dismiss this national chain in that manner is to do yourself a disservice as the food PF Chang's serves is consistently delicious. This review is for dinner eaten in the Provo, UT location on Oct. 24, 2014, although I have to say that it applies to any meal I've had in any of their locations. At this particular meal I had great company--three of my co-workers. People I have had the pleasure of working with for between 7 and 10 years. They are not just co-workers, but friends and people I enjoy breaking bread with. The restaurant, like all PF Chang's, is clean and open. The location, perhaps due to the local demographic, has an abundance of oversized tables. The menu is broad and interesting and despite being in Utah, has the full complement of alcoholic choices, which is where we started. I went with the Twisted Whiskey Sour and enjoyed it thoroughly. Others at my table ordered Moscow Mules and Stellas. Toasts! Around the table we went, each sharing something they are thankful for and something they are looking forward to in the coming year. These are the moments that you try to file away for future reference, maybe even decades down the road. Our waiter Gomez (seriously) was attentive and personable throughout. Because we were enjoying a leisurely evening we were in no hurry to order, but at his suggestion we did order some appetizers, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Green Beans and Orange Ginger Edamame. While the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Crispy Green Beans were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious, it was the Edamame that I found to be extraordinary. Warm, tender and perfectly seasoned, I seriously could have eaten that all night long. (I've since made a couple of attempts at replicating at home and while my efforts have been delicious they don't come close to the bar set by this dish.) I surveyed the quickly diminishing hors d'oeuvres and pondered how my happy stomach could possibly take on full entrees? I guess it'll manage. But first: Wine! We ordered a bottle of Alamos Malbec 2012 and it was very good. Let's face it; it's difficult to come up with a Malbec that isn't delicious. We debated entrees and ended up going with the Cantonese Lemon Chicken, the Mongolian Beef, the Lemongrass Chicken Salad and Sichuan Asparagus. It didn't take long for the main courses to come up and as our table started filling up with plates I briefly wondered if we hadn't overdone it a bit. But, there was no reason for such concern. The conversation and laughs soon dwindled as we all stuffed our faces with the delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the Sichuan Asparagus, wok fried with red chili paste (not too hot), garlic and onions and, the Mongolian Beef, wok-seared flank steak in soy sauce. I was especially happy when, after offering the last portion of the Mongolian Beef to my peers, and getting nos all around, I was able to kill the plate myself. Nom nom nom. The Cantonese Lemon Chicken was also very good. The Lemongrass Chicken was the one dish I likely would not order again. Maybe it was just because I'm not a huge fan of cold chicken salads. Desert? Heck yes. Fried Bananas in batter. Oh baby. The perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Throughout the meal Gomez was attentive and personable. Our waters were refilled regularly and empty plates cleared promptly. By the end of the evening we were all in alcohol fueled food comas--and happy as can be. Kudos to PF Chang's. Terrible experience and would not go back. I ordered food for 15 people ahead of time, for curbside pick up at 11:30. I even added a tip since they'd be walking it out to my car. At 11:30 I arrived. They texted that food was done at 11:33. I responded that I'm here in stall 1. 10 minutes later I respond again that I'm still here in stall 1. They respond that food would be out shortly. Another ten minutes goes by I'm now going to be late for my lunch meeting. I walk into the restaurant and wait another 5 minutes to be addressed by anyone. I tell the staff I've been waiting for 20 minutes for food that was they said was ready 20 minutes ago. They then go over to my food that's now cold and get it, ask if I need help getting it to the car. I said no, I can carry the food. I just wished I knew 20 minutes ago I'd have to get it. Gluten free is your friend here! They are so equipped to handle the gluten allergy which is surprising for a Chinese restaurant. I love that they have an actual separate menu with more than just one or two items to choose from. The service is always good here. I have had the best experience with servers here. They are great on adapting orders and making recommendations. The food is really good. I love that they have lots of options for meats and veggies. It is slightly pricey for how much food comes in the meat entrees but the fried rice, veggies and low mien are huge dishes and can easily be shared. You do need about 3 entrees or 2 entrees and 1 veggie to feed 2 hungry adults. I think there is plenty for kids to eat and they have a great kids menu. My kids love eating here. There is a long wait most of the time which is the only hard thing about coming here. read more

While I'm grateful for her help i went in to get my refund and gift card and Kevin dis credited everything i said. Then he came back with the gift cards and apologized to me.
