    Cashew Chicken

This place has great Chinese food! I've been a few times now and have enjoyed it every time. They give you complimentary wonton chips with sweet and sour dipping sauce. They have reasonably priced lunch specials that come with a soup, an egg roll and either steamed or fried rice. My favorite is the sesame chicken. I have also tried the cashew chicken and the general Tso's chicken and those are both good too.

Nice staff. Had a bit of a wait after we were seated before we ordered, but otherwise pretty quick service. The garlic chicken was a surprise but tasted really good. The portion size of the Buddha's Delight was smaller than expected - especially for the price but it was great. The chocolate dipped fortune cookies were a treat. I'll defi be back.

The ambiance is interesting, very purple but the food was good depending on what you order. I went safe with the sesame chicken and they knocked it out of the park. The dishes my friends ordered didn't seem as high quality, but it wasn't too bad. Service was good and timely. Fun place with somewhat authentic Chinese food, at least for Utah. Would recommend . Caution about eating the appetizer chips: they are a little strange and were not my favorite

Yummy place to get quality chinese food! I tried their BBQ pork buns, crab cheese puffs, and house fried tofu. I loved the pork buns. They had a great texture with the hot outside being nice and crisp while the inside was soft. The addition of honey for dipping was wonderful and really helped elevate them. The crab cheese puffs were fairly mediocre though. There just wasn't much cream cheese/crab meat inside them so 80% of the actual puff was just the fried coating. My entree was delicious though! It's hard to tell from the photo but it was a moderate to large serving of big veggies with lots of fried tofu beneath them. The tofu was fried really well. Firm outside with a soft but flavor filled inside. Great tasting veggies. May have been a tad too spicy for me though because I had a tummy ache for a few hours after I finished my entire meal. My mom snagged the sweet and sour pork and I tried a few bites of that and really enjoyed it! Definitely a high quality and flavorful meal! I'd skip the crab cheese puffs but everything else was great. Also, the chips and 'dip' they bring to the table while you wait for your food was super good. The chips tasted super fresh, fresh enough that I'd assume they were fried in house and the sweet dipping sauce made it a tasty little treat before my meal came. Good food!

Anytime I visit a restaurant down in the Riverwoods I make sure to walk around the property and scope out new places to try or stores to visit. There are so many great options that you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you'll like. I've been craving some good hot and sour soup for the last week or so and I remembered that this place has great lunch specials that come with it! I got some soup, an egg roll, some fried rice, walnut chicken, and a fountain drink for around $13. I also ordered some edamame. The waitress was really attentive and the food came out super fast. It smelled so good that I forgot to take pictures of it until I had already eaten half of it. There really isn't anything on their menu that isn't good. For the price, the quality and the quantity of the lunch specials is almost impossible to beat.

amazing service. the staff was extremely friendly and kind. they really seemed like they wanted us to have a good experience. the restaurant was beautiful as well. very quaint and cozy but in an elegant manner. and the food was actually amazing. i was shocked to see they only had a 3.5 on yelp. i got the sesame chicken, which comes in a huge portion for only $15 and is DELICIOUS. i also got the egg drop soup and the potstickers. worth every penny. i will be returning.

Torn between giving this place 4 or 5 stars- the things we love are definitely 5/5, while others are just okay. So 4 is a compromise! Everything we have had is good, but here are the three things you absolutely have to get: sesame chicken (tastes like a combo of sesame and orange chicken in the best way) Hot and sour soup- the best we've had! Complementary fried wontons and sweet and sour sauce- like the Asian version of chips and salsa and we are digging it! Not the best pictures, so you will just have to try this place on good faith. Next time you're craving Chinese, give this place a try!

Finding good Chinese food in Utah County is not easy. We finally tried Shoots and we really enjoyed it. I will definitely return.

Good service and good food, but I still don't see what all the hype is about. Worth another chance.

My wife wanted the pork belly pho, which didn't make sense to me. I wasn't sure what I wanted because I wasn't sure what they specialized in and wanted to hear them speak before ordering. When I heard the hostess/waitress speak to me in Mandarin after entering the restaurant, I immediately knew I would order their beef noodle soup. After waiting a few minutes, I paid and left with my food. The noodles were better than I expected for the Orem area. My wife enjoyed her pork belly pho. It was more of a Chinese pork belly rice noodle than a pho like at a Vietnamese restaurant. My beef noodle soup was a hearty beefy bowl of noodles. Both of the noodle soups were perfect for a cold night. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than anything I can get in California. It was a good meal. Brothers Hotpot...I don't think they have hotpot here. But, they make some pretty good noodles at a reasonable prcie.

Decided to come here again (obviously new management and a different restaurant) and I don't think we will ever come back! The service is one of the worst experiences we've ever had. On a Friday night, we were 1 of 2 tables (who came in after 8pm), and the place was empty (besides a private party in the private dining room). One server for the whole restaurant. When our order was taken, we only ordered 2 items: veg fried rice and salt and pepper prawns . When the salt and pepper prawns came out, it was served with no shell and fully battered(covered). The server did not ask me if I wanted it with or without shell - I assumed it was going to be with shell (as I pointed to the menu where the picture was, displayed with shell on. So we had to wait for another 10-15 minutes to get that order to come out. The shrimp they used was mushy on the inside, a bit gray colored (towards the tail, on the inside), and they used too much cornstarch for the breading - so it wasn't as crispy as expected. Trust me, I've had my share of salt and pepper shrimp (with shell on) and this was probably the worst I've had. I had to get up a few times to ask for: utensils, a Diet Coke, and boxes to go for our food. The only reason is I'm giving this place 2/5 stars (instead of 1) is because the veggie fried rice was decent. But over all, service, with the prices they charge, for MEH Chinese - you can get better quality Chinese at Feast Buffet or King Buffet - and those places do salt and pepper shrimp the right way!

One last meal, and I know my crew and I know I can keep everyone happy at a Chinese buffet. Everyone gets what they want and all you can eat. The even have some American stuff like French fries, pizza and ribs. Price is around $20 per person with tax and a little tip. The service is typical Asian buffet, they fill the drinks if asked and clear the plates, not a lot of conversation going on. Inside the place is decent sized, not a little mom and pop. They have a Mongolian Grill thingy and sushi along with all the usual American Chinese foods. Hot and sour as well as egg flower soup along with noodles and deep fried stuff and yes, the general and his chicken! The place is decently clean, but yeah, there's the usual sloppy foods from sloppy customers at the buffet. Put the tongs back in the same place you took them from , please! We all got our fill and the stay didn't take 2 hours like some fancy sit down and order place. I paid the bill and we can head out now back on the road!

I had to spit out some of my food because it had clearly gone bad. The next day, my friend and I both had food poisoning symptoms. Horrible. The worst part is, as we were sitting there watching them clean up for the night, we saw them packing up the food to serve it again the next day. That is scary. If you can get beyond the risk of food poisoning, I will say the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The prices were also not bad, $18 per person on a Saturday night for buffet. Personally, I would turn back the clock and eat somewhere else, it was not worth the deal.
