If you live in highland/alpine and don't want to make food on a Sunday, this is basically the only place available. So, slightly better to go here than to fast for the day. The beef and broccoli was not eatable. Broccoli was mushy and the beef was chewy and nasty. The general zoa chicken had decent flavor but was also subpar. The beef yakisoba was also not good, it was too sweet and the beef was extremely low quality and chewy. Water was lukewarm, and heavy tap water flavor, I had to ask twice and finally got up to get ice for our waters. The best thing was the orange chicken. We ordered it with the sauce on the side so it wouldn't come out soggy. The breading was crispy and the sauce flavor was good. Service is also mediocre, as is the atmosphere. Price isn't bad, as it shouldn't be with the quality of food. If we're desperate on a Sunday, we may go by again and just get rice and two orders of orange chicken. read more

I always LOVE getting sushi at Red8. I've never had a bad experience. The fish is tender, with a good flavor, and the vegetables they use are always crisp and add the perfect freshness to the rolls. Their sushi is good. They have a ton of options. Too many in my opinion, but that is very subjective. I got a few different rolls of sushi, including the golden dragon, the butterfly roll. They were both yummy. We ordered the grilled steak kids meal which was delicious and was a good cut of meat. My kids enjoyed it. I was optimistic about their steak because of that so I ended up also ordering the pepper steak. BIG MISTAKE. It was 98% ONION. The menu said NOTHING about onion. At all. And the dish was basically onion with a sprinkle of super chewy steak. Horrible! However, The egg drop soup and the potstickers were good. Service was decent, nothing special but nothing wrong. The ambience was cool except for the big wall right in front of the front door, that was an... interesting design! Haha. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Wow! This was THEE WORST Chinese food I've ever had. All the way home my car was smelling like Smokey BBQ. It was throwing me off bad. We ordered General Tao Chicken, Orange Chicken, fried rice, & soup. When I got home I took the Tao's chicken out and as soon as I opened it. There was the Smokey, mesquite chipotle (possibly) smell. It was definitely a turn off. I still tried a little bite and yep, it tasted just like it smelled but spicy and super peppery. The rice & orange chicken was edible but very bland and underwhelming! I've gone here multiple times and it gets worse every time. The male who is also the owner is so rude to everyone and has taken my leftover food a couple times even though I was not finished. They are not hospitable and act like you are nuisance when you are there for over 30 minutes. They bring you the check way too early and the service is just overall terrible. Sushi is one of my favorite foods and Red 8 does not disappoint! I would definitely recommend trying any of the Dragon Rolls as those are so good! Prices are not too bad for the quality of sushi and it has stayed great for the last 5 years of me going here! Service is great too and they are quick to make your food and make sure you have everything you need. I also love the various pictures and paintings because they give a nice mood to the restaurant. read more

This was pretty good. We've never been here before but everything on the menu looked good. The potstickers were delicious. My daughter got the chicken curry but did not like it. It could just be that she wasn't feeling well. But I ordered some sweet-and-sour chicken for her and she loved that. It could just be her taste. I don't like curry ever so I could not judge. I got chicken lo mein, which was good. Although it had really fat noodles, not my favorite. But it was still decent. It was a nice place and the wait staff were very nice. read more

We have been going there for years. Half of the time, the service is decent, the other half of the time they are just flat rude. We have always just laughed it off when it was bad. But, after my last experience, when the rude manager, he is always there and always rude, took my grandson's food before he was finished it was too much. Didn't ask anything, just took it when half of it was still there. They brought us the check about 5 minutes after they brought us our food. The rude manager came back dumped the fortune cookies off the check tray and slammed it down. This is the straw that broke the camel's back. My family and I are done with this location. They don't deserve to get the business they get. I hope over time they either change their ways or they go out of business. I would look elsewhere for your food. The Sushi Garden in American Fork is very comparable except they have good service. Go there instead. Sushi is actually better there anyway. read more

It's sliced a little thicker than I like, but quality is good. I normally do not like rolls with sauce, but I am addicted to the Lehi roll. Definitely recommend. I took my girls here on a daughter date for sushi and girl time. It was relatively quiet in there, but then again it was 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon. We were seated promptly and I didn't feel like we had to wait too long for anything. Staff was friendly and on top of filling our drinks and bringing out food. I can't remember the roll I ordered, but I got a fancy one (rainbow perhaps? volcano?) and my girls got basic California and eel rolls. The rolls my girls got were basic. Nothing special, but not bad. Just as good as the grocery store sushi across the parking lot, but a LOT cheaper. The roll (see pic) that I ordered, whatever it was, was great. I really enjoyed it. This is not the kind of place that I'm going to bring my out-of-town friends to, but I'm going to come back here again for some inexpensive sushi that hits the spot because it's close and the service is good. read more

This place is alright if you just need a sushi/Chinese food fix. Their rolls were small but I definitely like that They don't add a ton of rice on their rolls. I'm not sure that the quality of the fish is all that great either. One of the rolls i got had eel on it and it was very rubbery and chewy. Also, Their entrees were lacking a lot of flavor in my opinion. I didn't get a very authentic flavor of each of the dishes. But I am glad that they are open on sundays. read more

If you're coming here for sushi, don't expect too much. Pretty average although the "half price" they advertise all over the front entrance at least helps offset the lackluster sushi (a bit gummy, not super fresh tasting, uninspired combinations, but also not terrible). The playboy was probably the best roll we had (pretty standard flavor overall). We also had a citrus infused roll but the lemon on top was so strong that it ended up being the only thing you could taste. They have a large assortment of non-sushi items as well. In fact, their menu is epic'ly long with page after page of new items including ramen, Japanese comfort foods, sushi, etc. We tried the teriyaki chicken bowl based on a recommendation from the staff and were pleasantly surprised to find it was one of the better tasting items we had. The chicken was slightly overcooked but the teriyaki sauce was great and it was served over a bed of nicely cooked rice. There are better options for sushi in the area (Tsunami being one very close to here) but if you're looking for a lot of non-sushi items with your sushi, this place could be worth checking out. read more
