    Golden Dragon Roll

Their sushi is good. They have a ton of options. Too many in my opinion, but that is very subjective. I got a few different rolls of sushi, including the golden dragon, the butterfly roll. They were both yummy. We ordered the grilled steak kids meal which was delicious and was a good cut of meat. My kids enjoyed it. I was optimistic about their steak because of that so I ended up also ordering the pepper steak. BIG MISTAKE. It was 98% ONION. The menu said NOTHING about onion. At all. And the dish was basically onion with a sprinkle of super chewy steak. Horrible! However, The egg drop soup and the potstickers were good. Service was decent, nothing special but nothing wrong. The ambience was cool except for the big wall right in front of the front door, that was an... interesting design! Haha. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Overall the sushi was decent but the entree I got was terrible.

This is my favorite thing to get when I'm sick! Hot and sour soup & ragoons FOR THE WIN!

Sushi is one of my favorite foods and Red 8 does not disappoint! I would definitely recommend trying any of the Dragon Rolls as those are so good! Prices are not too bad for the quality of sushi and it has stayed great for the last 5 years of me going here! Service is great too and they are quick to make your food and make sure you have everything you need. I also love the various pictures and paintings because they give a nice mood to the restaurant.

This was pretty good. We've never been here before but everything on the menu looked good. The potstickers were delicious. My daughter got the chicken curry but did not like it. It could just be that she wasn't feeling well. But I ordered some sweet-and-sour chicken for her and she loved that. It could just be her taste. I don't like curry ever so I could not judge. I got chicken lo mein, which was good. Although it had really fat noodles, not my favorite. But it was still decent. It was a nice place and the wait staff were very nice.

As others have stated not the best sushi around but decent for the cheap price. A little trade off on that, service was pleasant and accommodating. They were super quick on pumping orders out. Will be back when in the mood for some cheap quality wannabe Japanese food. :-)

Very rude owner and staff. Super disappointed and disgusting food.

Red 8 is convenient and good in a pinch, however food seems microwaved and not overly fresh.

I'd love to know if anyone knows what is Gluten Free here, if anything?

yes, stay away from the fake crab meat, the tempura, and have them use a fresh sushi mat (Makisu) and clean knife. Also tell them not to add any sauces on top and should be good to go.

Great ambience, friendly staff, a menu broad enough to satisfy any mood, and food that delivers on what it promises. This one has earned a regular spot in my rotation. If you arrive before 3:00 pm, do yourself a favor and order from the combo lunch menu. For a good price, you get miso soup, white rice, pork gyoza, and tempura vegetables, and then choose two items from a list that includes chicken, rolls, and sashimi. The gyoza and tempura alone are worth calling out, both done well. I went with the spicy tuna roll and steak teriyaki and did not regret either choice. Now for the rolls. The Tsunami Roll is the signature and it earns that title, order it without hesitation. The Spicy Masa and Fire Breathing Dragon round out my personal top three and I have yet to be disappointed by any of them. The two areas where they could level up: the wait for food is longer than the lunch setting calls for, so come with patience and plan accordingly. And for a restaurant with rolls this photogenic, a printed menu with photos would go a long way.

I ordered a lunch box with spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki. I liked that they served teriyaki sauce separately. But the spicy tuna,,,,, the tuna was not fresh and it was not spicy tuna I am used to from the bay area. I had one and did not touch the rest of the rolls. You know the fishy taste you get when it is not fresh. Rice in the roll was not properly cooked, was al dente-this is big no. They have house made ice cream which we ordered three different flavors: vanilla, coconut & strawberry. They were Amazing! My 3 stars is for their sush roll.

The staff is very engaging - welcoming guests as they hear the door open with a loud but settling greeting. I ordered the Mongolian beef as it was being pulled off the grill. Zao has a modern take on Asian ambiance that serves its purpose of combining Asian fusion delicacies with fast casual lifestyles. Last but certainly not least, the house-made Frescas are delicious and not to be forgotten about. I was absolutely torn on the Thai Mango and the Passion Limeade because they are both that tasty.

But what I like about this particular location is that well, first of all, it's in a great location with lots of options for restaurants, it's got a Harmon's and some nearby retail shops. I like feeling good coming out of lunch and zao's with the fresh ingredients and veggies does just that. Service is friendly at this modern fast casual spot. There's tons of seating inside and they keep it up well, and again, with it being a tasty healthier meal along with special limited time items, it's worth stopping by this location when figuring out what to have lunch in the area.
