For the most part PF Chang's has always been good for us. We have always eaten in bigger groups to get a different taste of the menu and shared everything family style. PF Chang's has recently started introducing new items like street tacos and noodles. I like that they are expanding their menu of items to include diversity, but they are still Americanized dishes. True authentic Chinese food doesn't all taste like this but you shouldn't go here if you are looking for that. This is higher quality Americanized food that gives you smaller portions to share. They offer many deals for dine in and take out options if you sign up on the email list. I don't live close so I usually don't get to use any of the coupon deals. I wish they would build one at Tanger so it would be closer to this side of Charleston, or even Summerville. read more

Change of management? They brought in a stingier crew and a hostess or supervisor who is the worst at customer service. Here's my last tip for her, when a customer has to come back because the takeout order was wrong, don't walk away commenting on "their attitude" until you've examined your own. Very disappointed in pickup process after placing an online order. Food was slightly late but that was OK until not getting my order 20 minutes later. Only to find out that my food was sitting there the entire time. Also after being given someone else's order in error. Luckily I read the receipt before driving away. It didn't seem like the pick up orders received the same level of customer service as the seated customers. There's more accountability and more at stake when in person than ordering online. Just care a little bit more. Take the time to read the receipts and get the orders out accurately. It's not much to ask considering what I'm spending on the food. I do not know why this PF Chang has such terrible reviews. This is probably the best PF Changs that I have been to in years. I use to love the one in Vegas but than it moved into a casino and royalty sucked. The one in Seattle was the worst Chinese in the area. So, I was very hesitate to try again. But, I gave it a go and the PF Changs in Mt Pleasant made my heart happy. The staff was very attentive. They gave great service. The food was excellent. I would totally go back again. We enjoyed our evening here! The service was excellent (our server from the bar was Alex. He was awesome!) The atmosphere at the bar was nice and quiet. Our food was great as always and we appreciated them taking us so quickly. Long version- We were on vacation and we had intended on going to a local owned restaurant that didn't accept reservations but when we checked in there it was going to be a 2 hour wait. We passed P. F. Chang's and although they are also in our hometown we decided to stop in anyway. We asked to be seated at a high top because they also had a bit of wait (Of course Covid restrictions are contributing to extra wait times most everywhere). They were very pleasant and accommodating. Absolutely amazing experience at P.F. Chang's! I wish they had more locations within the low country but I will make the drive to eat here. The steamed dumplings are amazing!!!!! The variety of food is really great. It's a perfect location whether you are eating with your kids or your spouse or your whole family they really do have a variety of food from their most authentic beef and broccoli to the most basic for children. The atmosphere is great. There's a part of the restaurant that is actually apart from the eating section and that's the bar and you can sit there and have a nice glass of wine or have your favorite bourbon it's just an all-around great restaurant I really wish that they would put more locations of PF Chang's around the low country not just in Mount Pleasant but I don't mind making the drive just for the food and the experience. It's a very casual environment as well so you don't need to be dressed up in a suit and a fancy dress to go eat you can definitely go in there in jeans and a comfortable shirt and just relax and enjoy the dim lighting the great tasty food and amazing drinks. read more

Pretty good! We waited 45 minutes for a table. While we waited we had a drink at the bar. The food was okay. I ordered the vegetarian lettuce wraps. The flavor was kind of bland. My husband ordered Ma Po Tofu. The tofu was nicely seasoned and cooked but it was very, very hot! My kids ordered the chicken fried rice. They were good portions. We started with the Tempura Cauliflower for an appetizer. I stopped in for a quick bite around 5. I seated myself in the bar area. Alan the bartender immediately came over and took my favorite order, shrimp pad tai. We discussed my need for a to-go order that needed to be picked up at 6:30 p.m. He honestly advised me I should place two separate orders because it could get lost in the shuffle during dinner hours. When I pulled up my reward dollars from a previous gift certificate purchase and attempted to redeem them, he informed me that they had expired. I was so disappointed because on two previous visits I had tried to redeem them, but the wifi was down. I paid with cash and thought that was that. I did have a question about the gift certificate that my husband never received from Father's Day. He called the manager Patrick over and after explaining everything he provided me with a number to check on the gift certificate and replaced the reward dollars because he was aware of the wifi problems and they had updated their servers since. I wasn't expecting that. It's nice when staff goes above and beyond your expectations to see you smile. They would have received a 5 except when I came back to pick up my to go order it was 15 minutes late. Granted they were super busy, but it still was an inconvenience I wanted to avoid by placing the order earlier. I've been dining at PF Chang's since they opened in the mid-1990's. I've eaten at many locations, and was really looking forward to taste my staple choices (Mongolian Beef being one). Unfortunately this time, I left completely disappointed. The Mandarin salad was without any discernible taste, and the Mongolian Beef tough, with way too much garlic out of a jar, and none of the flavor it normally has. The margarita was so horrible, it made my stomach hurt. When I pointed it out to the server, she smiled and said "yes, it's made with 2.5oz of straight lime juice" and left me sitting there with an undrinkable cocktail. Yes it was 4th of July weekend, it's your job to manage manpower accordingly. The manager came to try to make amends but the damage was done. We couldn't manage to find an outside seat, had to settle for a table inside. The ambience was pretty good. We started with the Pomegranate Lemonade. That was an interesting one. It was really good too. Crispy green beans was our choice for appetizer. it was nice and delicious. Ordered Thai Harvest Curry and Stir-Fried Eggplant for the main course. I must say the Stir-Fried Eggplant was damn good. It was served with white rice. We enjoyed this one a lot. The Thai Curry was good, but never as good as a typical Thai recipe. The food was quality and we really enjoyed our time there. Service was great right from the moment we arrived at this place. We were quite comfortable with their service. The staffs were super helpful, especially we preferred egg-less food. They gave us the options and even offered their suggestions on what should we really try out. We have enjoyed the Chinese Chicken salad until the past few visits. Recently on several visits, here is what we experienced. 1. No chicken. Grill was broken. That's a new twist. 2. Delivered to table without mandarin oranges or almonds or wonton strips. Happened on at least three occasions. 3. Loong wait times for food to arrive. Most hosts and servers are pleasant and work hard to satisfy their customers. We keep coming back, hoping for improvement. read more

My husband and I usually dine in the restaurant when we come here. Both of us love the Kung Pao chicken and we have always had a delicious dish whenever we've been here. This past Tuesday night, it was wonderful. Service was a little off but the girl that came to the table said she was being trained by another server (whom we never saw the entire time that we were sitting there). This place is a little pricey if you want a full meal at dinner. They do have some great lunch specials as well. We only eat here for dinner when my husband receives one of their special offers - this last time he had a buy one get one free entree. Make sure that you sign up for their rewards program because that's how you get these offers. I do have to mention that once we ordered to go from this location and the portion size was small - the to go containers were barely halfway full. We won't order to go again - but if you do, check it before you leave - we didn't and we couldn't go back because we live 30 minutes away! read more

Total let down. My family and I (two adults, two kids) went to P.F. Changs on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30/3:00 for a late lunch. The restaurant was in complete disarray with 12 tables yet to be cleared and food scattered around on the floor. Why? I'm not sure, they certainly were not busy. The female manager was not dressed professionally and appeared to be clueless. She spent the majority of her time putting out fires with other customers who were complaining; about what, I'm not sure. When the food arrived I must admit I was pretty baffled. The kitchen appeared to just have thrown the meat onto the plate and didn't bother to wipe the excess sauce from around the edges of the plate. If Chick-fil-a can wipe the sweet tea from the side of my Styrofoam cup, I expect the kitchen staff of P.F. Chang's to wipe the side of my plate. Definitely will not return...at least not to the P.F. What is going on at PF Chang's? It is going steadily downhill in the last 4-5 years. This particular franchise is, frankly, poorly run. The hostess hides in the corner near the kitchen, people waiting for takeout or tables crowd the entrance and the waitress explains, after we give our order, that it may take a while because the kitchen is slow. It is 8pm on a Sunday night, people. What's the deal? Food: the Kung pao shrimp is still the best in town because the shrimp are lightly breaded and crispy fried and there is the perfect amount of sauce, peanuts, chilis and celery. The edamame was mushy and not salted enough and bizarrely, the charred Brussels sprouts were prohibitively salty and almost inedible charred. Our waitress alternated between overly-attentive and absent. She managed to talk us into the fried banana things for dessert and I have to admit I love coconut ice cream but I hate being "upsold". Anyway, let's admit it, when we crave PF Chang's, nothing else will do. I just wish they would whip the operation side into shape and get this restaurant running the way it should. read more

We ventured in here the other afternoon for a spontaneous dinner date. Having never been before, we had no idea what to expect. Also, I've only had non-take-out Chinese food one other place (on Daniel Island), so that's all I have to compare it to. I started out with their Agave Margarita, which was pretty great. It was smaller and more expensive ($9) than my usual at our go-to Mexican restaurant, but I could tell it was higher quality. We chose to do the 2 for 4 special they were running (or maybe it's always an option in the menu?). We both started with the Egg Drop soup, which was pretty yummy. We then had Mongolian Beef and some sort of Spicy Chicken. For one, the spicy chicken was amazing - just not spicy. While delicious, the Mongolian Beef had a TON of sauce on it, which was less than desirable. Just like the other restaurant, they bring out the meals and you serve yourself from both plates (making sharing SO much easier). For dessert we tried the peanut butter crunch cake and the salted caramel cake. I have no idea about the peanut butter crunch, but the salted caramel cake was great! Our server was very attentive, bringing my husband his required 5 diet cokes and knew everything on the menu well enough to help us figure out what we would like and what we would not. We went pretty early (6 isn) so it wasn't crowded and there wasn't a wait. The only complaint is that the parking lot is shared with some businesses and another restaurant, so it was a little hard to find a spot.
